Yep, only one way....

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

By having one's sins remitted per this way, one is saved.

There exists a much simpler way—— ASK!

“ Anybody that ASKS to be Saved *WILL* BE SAVED.....

Sorry to bust your bubble there, “ Romans Skipper”....

Btw....*CONFESSING* that Jesus was “ The Christ , the Son Of The Living God” was the “ Key” That Peter had obtained and Jesys said that Peter did not come up with that in his own....it was a revelation given to him by the Holy Spirit

Being enlightened to that Truth by the same Holy Spirit That gave Peter that insight is the “ KEY” That will get one into Heaven....

“ For it is with The Heart that man believes and is Justified, and with the mouth you * CONFESS * unto Salvation....

Enough of this “ Peter Worship!” .....When can we move on to your Worship Of Mary? I’m sure she is NEXT in line of your Silly “ Doctrines” That praise everybody except Jesus....

I have noticed that Acts skippers will not quote Acts 2:38.

I dare any Acts skipper to quote it today.

I have no problem with your Silly Dare.....it’s a great verse of scripture ....it’s just not the proper doctrine for today.....I could also quote you the entire Book Of Leviticus if you want me to....bit it’s time has come and gone also....or do you slit the throats of sheep to get your sins remitted ?

“ Then Peter said to them, repent and be baptized every one of you in the Name Of Jesus Christ fir the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit”

Happy, Pappy?

Now, let’s see if you got the guts to quote a Scripture for “ me”......

Acts 10:34- 43 describes the Roman Centurion and the first group of Gentiles Receiving Salvation....Peter is telling them about God’s Plan of Salvation and before Peter' is even DONE SPEAKING , the HOLY SPIRIT falls upon the entire group! Yes, BEFORE Peter could even Lay Hands or Water Baptize Them , the Holy Spirit fell on them.... ( please notice— no water involved here)

Now, please post just this ONE verse ....as I so kindly did for you.....thanking you in advance—- the verse is this one———Acts 10:44.....

The “ Good News” in the Bible, commonly referred to as “ THE GOSPEL” is 1Cor15:1-4— THAT and Nothing else.....
People like to take ANY verse that is positive and call it “ the gospel—— it ain’t....and NOBODY in these Forums tries to bring this “ Good News” to the Lost nearly as much as I do.....no brag- just Fact. You brought it up, so I responded....

Confused people that may or may “not” be actual Saved Believers are in here all the time preaching their “ False and Perverted” so- called “ gospels” and I have been around long enough to see that these “ Spreaders Of Leaven” NEVER change their minds about their False Doctrines.....Therefore, to Fight For The True Gospel, what Paul called “ his” Gospel ( Given to Him personally by Jesus) I don’t really talk to these “ Gospel - Skippers” and “ Grace Rejectors” and the “ COMPLETE Book Of Acts Skippers.....

I talk PAST them and use them as “ springboards” to hopefully get the Truth Of the Gospel Of Grace out there for any Newbies out there that haven’t been RUINED yet and become like them— “Fallen From Grace” and “ Severed from Christ”....and they don’t even realize it....

I am not going to try to “ make nice” with those that at their BEST , “ Shipwreck” the Faith Of The “ babes” in Christ , and at their WORST might actually cause the Damnation Of Some Of Those “ Babes” That don’t have enough Bible Knowledge to stand up to these “ Gospel Skippers” That Substitute the actual Gospel that has the POWER to save, with a False Gospel Of Wet Hair!”

This is not some little “ war of Words!” If people want to “ make nice” with damnable Doctrines—- go ahead....Some people need to be “ REBUKED”...If you don’t think that what they are falsely Teaching is not worthy of “ Rebuke” , just exactly where “would” you Take a Stand and Fight For the Gospel? Do “YOU” equate Water with the BLOOD Of Christ or even put it “ above” it? I don’t and I will do battle with anybody that tries to...I’ll say it for the thousandth time....for Salvation, it’s NOTHING but the Blood .....NOTHING!

That is sound...

The Phillipian Jailer asked the same question....poor Paul —- be must have been Befuddled from all the excitement that day and forgot to mention water baptism

Let's take a look...

Acts 16:30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
[31] And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
[32] And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
[33] And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.

Yes......But Only because Jesus’ Father had a Change Of Plan after He revealed “ The Mysteries” Of the Ages to Paul.... All this Worship Of Peter and “ His Keys” ....Lol....are you Catholic or something? I suppose your NEXT Big Thing will be Mary Worship ( we will have to save “ that” for another time)

So you are saying that when Jesus had shewed himself alive after his passion and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God for forty days, that Jesus somehow goofed and needed to correct his mistake - Good luck with that!

Acts 1:3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

If you desire to “ Follow” Jesus, why not do what He Commanded ? He told us to “ FOLLOW” His “ Chosen Vessel” —— That Vessel being PAUL and NOT Peter.....Paul was God’s “ Messenger to the Gentiles” and it is to HIM that we go to for Today's Doctrine....Even Peter admitted later that even though Paul might be “ Hard to understand”, anything that Paul wrote was the Equal to Anything in Scripture....and what did Paul write? “ And now I am reminding you brothers , of the Good News That I preached to you , that message that you received and took your Stand on....unless, of course you Believed something that was never true in the first place...I told you this message exactly as it was told to me....Jesus Died for our sins and was buried and He was Raised on the third day, just as Scripture foretold”

Paul said that “ it was *THIS GOSPEL* that Saves You.......He also said in Romans that THIS Gospel —— HIS Gospel,That God will Judge you By when you stand before Him....

Once again, no mention of Falser’s “ Wet Hair Gospel”......

Peter’s Promise Of Receiving the Holy Spirit by Water Immersion was a Valid one to any audience that heard it....on the other hand, Paul preached that Belief ONLY would get that Job done...Peter, later in Acts , submitted to the teachings of Paul —— it was NEVER the other way around and Jesus NEVER said to “ Follow Peter” —— Jesus said “ Follow PAUL” .....Paul repeated it Three Times....

Get with the New Plan ,Falser.....stop being a “ Gospel Skipper!” ....
I asked....
"Jesus wants us to ignore Peter per Acts 2:38"?

The above was your answer.

OMG!

Now this, fellow posters, is exactly what Acts skippers are derived from.

These are the protestant Acts skippers that modified the RCC version of Acts skipping.

The protestant version commands you to disregard Peter's command of Acts 2:38 and Acts 10 etc.

Read it for yourself.

"Peter trumped by Paul" is the doctrinal theme.

All because they don't want to get their hair wet...LOL

The “ ONLY” Way?..... hmmmmmm.....How about “ If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and Believe in your heart that God raised Him from the Dead, you WILL BE SAVED!” ... Ring a bell?
Probably not....it’s in the tenth chapter of Romans and we all know that you think it’s a sin to go beyond chapter two in any Bible Book.....Doing “That” could possibly embarrass you as you might see the stupidity of your Confused “ Doctrine” ...
Yes it rings a bell.

Since I obeyed Acts 2:38 in 1979, I have AFFIRMED my faith and salvation by confessing and believing every day.

The Epistle of Romans was specifically written to do that.

Do you know what an epistle is?

When did you officially cease to confess and believe per Romans 10?

The Phillipian Jailer asked the same question....poor Paul —- be must have been Befuddled from all the excitement that day and forgot to mention water baptism....
All he said was “ BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be Saved....”
According to “ your” Silly logic.... Paul just gave that poor man “ half” of a Saving Message That in Truth could not Save anybody! Paul’s seriously flawed message left out the “ Gospel Of Wet Hair!”

I bet God seriously chastised Paul For delivering this False messages that damned that poor Jailer because he was never told ( ABOVE all other things, that he HAD to be water baptized in order to be Saved)..... how could Paul be so “dumb” as to leave this out? It sure beats me.....
30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

Romans was written to saved saints.

You cannot skip Acts and find a plan "b" for salvation, unless you get rid of the letters to the saved saints and create a new bible that says something like this....

1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)

3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

5 By whom we(SINNERS) have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

6 Among whom are ye(SINNERS) also the called of Jesus Christ:

7 To all(SINNERS) that be in Rome, beloved of God,:..... Grace to you(SINNERS) and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for .... all (YOU SINNERS), that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you(SINNERS) always in my prayers;

10 Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you(SINNERS).

11 For I long to see you (SINNERS), that I may impart unto you(SINNERS) some spiritual gift, to the end ye(SINNERS) may be established;

12 That is, that I may be comforted together with you(SINNERS) by the mutual faith both of you(SINNERS) and me....

9 That if thou(SINNERS) shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou(SINNERS) shalt be saved.

Yep, that's the Acts skippers view of the Epistle.

Crazy stuff.

You are awesome! You quoted Acts 2:38!

You are not embarrased of it, like Jim and the others are!

Okay, Acts 10, here goes....

43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord.
....

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved...

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

I love doing that, don't you?

They are also saying that Peter was given the keys by Jesus to introduce baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins to use them first on the Jews in Acts 2, the Samaritans in Acts 8 and the Gentiles in Acts 10, then to have Paul throw away Peter's keys and disband Peter's work.

I just don't think God buys this Acts skipper stuff, right?

The Old Testament which is a type of shadow of things to come, says...
Exodus 30:20 When they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash with water, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn offering made by fire unto the LORD:

Jesus said...
John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Jesus Commanded...
Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Peter's response (with all the apostles with him)...
Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
[38] Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Peter obeys Jesus and "commands" baptism...
Acts 10:48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

Paul himself was baptized...
Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Paul connects Holy Ghost with water baptism...
Acts 19:2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
[3] And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.

4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Boring?

Don't be ridiculous! What is extremely boring is your "Johnny one note" repetition of one verse in Acts over and over and over and over and over .. ad nauseum.

I'm not sure what your need is to be compulsively quoting a single verse, but it is BORING!!!!!!!

If you need something "new" and "different", you may try the book of Mormon or the book of Enoch.

The scriptures of the Bible seem to bore some folks to death.
