Is your Faith in the Bible or is it in God?

It's actually not a silly question. The scriptures themselves say,

You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is those very Scriptures that testify about Me. (John 5:39)

The other side of that coin is this: You say you hear from God. I've known quite a few people who claimed the same thing. It's the old "false prophet" question. How do WE know that what YOU are hearing is God?

Now, if you did not have the Bible, how would you prove your faith in God?

I had no faith before reading the Bible.

The Bible is how God spoke to me.

The Bible is how I got saved.

This is so very true.. you must have faith and believe that what I am saying is of God...

Also goes to show that they do their faith is in the Bible and not in God... They do not even read them for understanding nor use them for what they were meant to be used for...
