Were these infants or adults?...

  • Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.

I expect both/and..

All infants are children. Not all children are infants..

What are you trying to say? That infants cant glorify and cry out to God?

Scripture disagrees with you..

Who dated it?

Which Apostle validated it?
Which Apostle validated Sola Scriptura?
Sola Fide?
Perspecuity of Scripture?
Eternal Assurance?

The idea that God is not a Trinity?

And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
Jesus meant not to elevate anyone to the level of God the Father. Do you really think Catholics call the priest "God" when using a BIBLICAL title of "father"??? It's a whole new level of stupid. This is an example of “eisegesis” (imposing one’s views upon a passage) as opposed to “exegesis” (drawing out the meaning of the passage from its context). In this verse, Jesus was discouraging His followers from elevating the scribes and Pharisees to the titles of “fathers” and “rabbis” because they were hypocrites. Jesus warns us not to elevate anyone to the level of our heavenly Father.
Acts 7:2
And he said, “Brethren and fathers, listen: The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Haran,

Truther thinks St. Steven is wrong.

Acts 22:1 “Brethren and fathers, hear my defense before you now.”
1 Cor. 4:15 – Paul writes, “I became your father in Christ Jesus.”
Philemon 10 I appeal to you for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten while in my chains,– Paul says he has become the “father” of Onesimus.

Truther thinks St. Paul is wrong.

1 Peter 5:13 – Peter refers to himself as father by calling Mark his “son.”

Truther thinks St. Peter is wrong.

1 John 2:1 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
I write to you, fathers,
Because you have known Him who is from the beginning.
I write to you, young men,
Because you have overcome the wicked one.
I write to you, little children,
Because you have known the Father.
13,14 –
John calls the elders of the Church “fathers.”

Truther thinks John is wrong.

Matt. 3:9; Luke 3:8 – Jesus refers to Abraham as our “father.”

Truther thinks Jesus is wrong.

Luke 1:32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.

Truther thinks the angel from heaven is wrong.

This is plenty of biblical evidence (a few samples from a long list) that the "call no man father" crowd is bible twisting at its worst, for the sole purpose of bashing Catholics because we use a BIBLICAL title for our priests.

He does the same nonsense by harping on Acts 2:38 by injecting the heresy of MODALISM.

Funny that we see so much hatred of Protestants towards the RCC, not to mention some protestants idolise the Jews as their salvation but would kill every RCC that they could.
This is the madness that I have heard from staunch anti RCC protestants, not to mention such people want to blow the Vatican off the fact of the earth ! To them the Jews can never do any wrong ? so to them the Jews can do anything regardless, because they are gods people ?
Such Protestants are full of hatred that they can not see clearly.

When I was a Protestant I never came across such morons in the Church ranting and raving with the rubbish that one hears in the last 20 years or so. Yes the Protestants did rant about the RCC but not idolising Jews and such idiot total radical insanity as one can come across nowadays.

They are trying to turn everything upside down on it's head ? and the same is so within the RCC.

Look at the MSM they love Pope Frances ! the only Pope that the MSM loved in fact and they totally hated Pope JP2 and Pope Ben, as all that the MSM did was rant and rave like total morons 24/7 against them, not to mention totally slandering them !

Water Baptism comes first then come the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and never the other way round in fact ! just as it was with John, for it was too that end that the water Baptism was for. and one becomes under the roof of the Christian Body, much like as a Jew is one within the Tribe, but that's not the point that God needs of us ? as he leads us to the Holy Spirit !
Now some have a Spirit of the Church, for they are religious ! they are only religious ? and religion does not cut the mustard, Only Christ Jesus Saves ! the Body does not save, only Christ Saves !

So when I was born again I came out from them, because they have no value worthy of Christ Jesus truly, because they were ranting amongst themselves and their own Church ? because they do not know Christ Jesus or give respect to only him first and foremost.

The Churches of today are about this world ! and not the Kingdom of God at all. that's why they have driven people away from the Church in droves in the last 60 years. Now we have Godless Nations in fact !
Not to mention the devils who have worked to undermine every Church from within, Child molesters etc are given freedom to run loose !

So how can one respect the organisation of such creeps !

No need to explain something that is a fabrication.
It's a fact of history that your Protestant Fathers accepted.

Only hundreds of years later did their rcclrcial descrndants decide that it's a fact they CANNOT accpt

All I am saying is the children promised the baptism of the Holy Ghost per Acts 2:39 is about the descendants of the Jews, not the newborn Jewish infants.

Now we are getting closer to what Jesus meant.

He does not want his disciples to go around calling each other... "father".

Bam!

Now, that's why I don't call the 5 fold ministers "father" so and so.

That is RCC as it gets.

They are seeking lordship over folks.

You're missing the point and need ears to hear, which can only be given by the Holy Spirit to those who have truly received Jesus and His Spirit. Do you see any capitals in those reference to fathers or fathers you yourself brought? The point is that nobody is to give or receive TITLES in the body of Christ. The apostle wrote "THERE IS TO BE NO SCHISM IN THE BODY." No clergy/laity division, which is artificially contrived, ie, man-made, not God ordained. No separate groups of those with titles and those without titles. God is not a respecter of persons. Everyone who has the Spirit has been given spiritual gifts, some of the those gifts are greater and some lesser, that is all. But ALL of them are needful. "Can any one part of the body say to another part I have no need of you?"

Anyway, not much more to say here I think....except COME TO JESUS THAT YOU MIGHT HAVE LIFE!

Amen, seeing that we are all equals as priests unto our God, we have no spiritual "fatherhood" over each other either.

Are you trying to get me to believe that when you were a baby you repented of your sins, were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins and received the gift of the Holy Ghost?

babies don’t have any personal sin so there is no need for repentance

how about you obey you’re savior in Matt 28:19 and get the Christian sacrament of baptism!

Stop being a Matt 28:19 skipper!

You provided 8 passages from Scripture that destroys what @Truther has been taught by his men......You gave him the Truth but I suspect he will keep denying it.

All the Apostles validated scripture only.
Using Scripture alone show me where that is taught in Scripture! (hint, it's not)

Also, historically we KNOW that the early Church did NOT have a set list of books that they considered Scripture.........soooooo you are wrong on 2 counts!

Here is a passage from Scripture that teaches opposite of what your men have taught you: 2 Thessalonians 2:15

My protestant fathers also accepted Sunday as a God ordained sacred day of rest... They were wrong on that score as well.
No – they were correct on that front – as I have AMPLY shown by the testimonies of the Apostolic Fathers and their Scriptural reasoning for this teaching.

Not the first time the children inherited lies and myths from their parents.
An historical fact is just that.
You can complain about it – but there is nothing you can DO to change this fact.

The New Testament Canon is a CATHOLIC Tradition that ALL Protestants adhere to.
WHY is that??
