Were these infants or adults?...
- Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.

Jesus meant not to elevate anyone to the level of God the Father. Do you really think Catholics call the priest "God" when using a BIBLICAL title of "father"??? It's a whole new level of stupid. This is an example of “eisegesis” (imposing one’s views upon a passage) as opposed to “exegesis” (drawing out the meaning of the passage from its context). In this verse, Jesus was discouraging His followers from elevating the scribes and Pharisees to the titles of “fathers” and “rabbis” because they were hypocrites. Jesus warns us not to elevate anyone to the level of our heavenly Father. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
No need to explain something that is a fabrication.that very Canon of Scripture is a Catholic Tradition?
It's a fact of history that your Protestant Fathers accepted. No need to explain something that is a fabrication.
All I am saying is the children promised the baptism of the Holy Ghost per Acts 2:39 is about the descendants of the Jews, not the newborn Jewish infants.I expect both/and..
All infants are children. Not all children are infants..
What are you trying to say? That infants cant glorify and cry out to God?
Scripture disagrees with you..
Pax et Bonum
All the Apostles validated scripture only.Which Apostle validated Sola Scriptura?
Sola Fide?
Perspecuity of Scripture?
Eternal Assurance?
The idea that God is not a Trinity?
Now we are getting closer to what Jesus meant.Jesus meant not to elevate anyone to the level of God the Father. And he said, “Brethren and fathers, listen: The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Haran,
Truther thinks St. Steven is wrong.
Acts 22:1 “Brethren and fathers, hear my defense before you now.”
1 Cor. 4:15 – Paul writes, “I became your father in Christ Jesus.”
Philemon 10 I appeal to you for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten while in my chains,– Paul says he has become the “father” of Onesimus.
Truther thinks St. Paul is wrong.
1 Peter 5:13 – Peter refers to himself as father by calling Mark his “son.”
Truther thinks St. Peter is wrong.
1 John 2:1 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
I write to you, fathers,
Because you have known Him who is from the beginning.
I write to you, young men,
Because you have overcome the wicked one.
I write to you, little children,
Because you have known the Father.13,14 –
John calls the elders of the Church “fathers.”
Truther thinks John is wrong.
Matt. 3:9; Luke 3:8 – Jesus refers to Abraham as our “father.”
Truther thinks Jesus is wrong.
Luke 1:32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.
Truther thinks the angel from heaven is wrong.
This is plenty of biblical evidence (a few samples from a long list) that the "call no man father" crowd is bible twisting at its worst, for the sole purpose of bashing Catholics because we use a BIBLICAL title for our priests.
He does the same nonsense by harping on Acts 2:38 by injecting the heresy of MODALISM.
My protestant fathers also accepted Sunday as a God ordained sacred day of rest... They were wrong on that score as well. It's a fact of history that your Protestant Fathers accepted.
Only hundreds of years later did their rcclrcial descrndants decide that it's a fact they CANNOT accpt

Amen, seeing that we are all equals as priests unto our God, we have no spiritual "fatherhood" over each other either. You're missing the point and need ears to hear, which can only be given by the Holy Spirit to those who have truly received Jesus and His Spirit. Do you see any capitals in those reference to fathers or fathers you yourself brought? The point is that nobody is to give or receive TITLES in the body of Christ. The apostle wrote "THERE IS TO BE NO SCHISM IN THE BODY." No clergy/laity division, which is artificially contrived, ie, man-made, not God ordained. No separate groups of those with titles and those without titles. God is not a respecter of persons. Everyone who has the Spirit has been given spiritual gifts, some of the those gifts are greater and some lesser, that is all. But ALL of them are needful. "Can any one part of the body say to another part I have no need of you?"
Anyway, not much more to say here I think....except COME TO JESUS THAT YOU MIGHT HAVE LIFE!
Are you trying to get me to believe that when you were a baby you repented of your sins, were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins and received the gift of the Holy Ghost?
Then show me where. All the Apostles validated scripture only.
You provided 8 passages from Scripture that destroys what @Truther has been taught by his men......You gave him the Truth but I suspect he will keep denying it.Jesus meant not to elevate anyone to the level of God the Father. Using Scripture alone show me where that is taught in Scripture! (hint, it's not)All the Apostles validated scripture only.
No – they were correct on that front – as I have AMPLY shown by the testimonies of the Apostolic Fathers and their Scriptural reasoning for this teaching. My protestant fathers also accepted Sunday as a God ordained sacred day of rest... They were wrong on that score as well.
An historical fact is just that. Not the first time the children inherited lies and myths from their parents.
