Ok, the most abused epistle in the NT, that heretics live in, is Hebrews.
See, all Heretics live in James, Matthew, and Hebrews. All of them.

They all use those 3 Letters by Apostles to try to Deny the Cross, and reject Eternal life, and teach you that you can lose your Salvation, or that its up to you to keep yourself saved.
And when you are that type of Believer, you have been deceived and your faith in Christ is BROKEN, and you'll think its not.
You will ACTUALLY believe, that trying to save yourself by works, self effort, or trying to keep yourself saved by commandment keeping is: ""how im trusting in Christ"". Paul, in Galatians, literally says that you are "BEWITCHED" to think that way about Salvation.
And he states "WHO... has bewitched you" that you "no longer obey the TRUTH".
And THAT is the Deceived RELIGIOUS STATE of everyone who believes they can "Lose their Salvation".

And let me tell you this also...
The Devil knows the bible, in a Legalist way, and he deceives using Legalism.
He puffs up your self righteousness and turns it against the Cross and the Grace of God.
He causes you to read verses in a carnally minded way, so that they teach you that YOU have the responsibility to get yourself to heaven, by WORKS, Enduring, Commandment keeping or Self Effort. And Satan teaches you that you can lose your salvation,.. by causing you to NOT BELIEVE that Jesus who saved you keeps you saved.
And his people, his "ministers" infect forums and build churches to try to prove that lie, and they have deceived millions.

Now....Look at this partial verse that heretics will BEAT YOU WITH, on every forum, and from thousands of Satanic Pulpits....

You will be "Presented" if you are born again, as having continued in the Faith, never being moved away from it.
That's the Judgment seat of Christ., where you will be PRESENTED, if you are born again.

So, to meet that very standard, at this PRESENTATION< you have to "never be moved away from THE FAITH".

And you, have been moved from it, as you are teaching AGAINST the Grace of God and the "HOPE" that is "In Christ"
You are teaching WORKS and SELF EFFORT, in place of GOD's Grace.
So, you have not "continued in the REAL FAITH", as you have become Legalistic.

Perfectionism, is a self effort..

Perfectionism I condemn is teaching tempting thoughts are proof of being 'imperfect' sinners. Only God on the throne can't be tempted.

Yours also applies and is a good point: the perfectionism by force of personal will, but not by faith.

There is a psychological term for it: obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)

It's where there is no good end to any of it, but only the compulsive doing of things matters: it's called busyness. There is no peace, rest, nor joy of the Holy Ghost in it.

A certain pride in how perfectly we resist temptation? We want to be tempted to prove how good we are at not doing it.

Which leads directly to the pride of life in thinking we have no sin tempting us anymore, because the devil has given up on us.

Perfectionists in all walks of life do think they have arrived by force of will alone:

Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

All of THAT, is works based Cross rejection. ITs LEGALISM.

I.e. doing the letter of the alone alone, without faith nor Spirit of the law.

Faith alone without works is dead, and the works of the law alone without faith, is unjustified by Christ.

Paul is teaching to become YIELDED, .. no longer trying to WORK or PERFORM, for God.
To be YIELDED to the understanding of God making you righteous based on "the GIFT of Righteousness", as the only reason you become a SON/Daughter of God.

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good.

And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

The wicked desireth the net of evil men: but the root of the righteous yieldeth fruit.

But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

And so, man's best effort in 6 days working hard, always falls short of God's least sheep in the 7th day:

Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

That is how you stop being the sinning and confessing ..>"apart from me you can do NOTHING"< which is Christ explaining that when you try to be a Christian by performance, you are shutting off His Living Through you that IS ..."Christ always gives me the VICTORY"... over the flesh, the world, and the devil.

I.e. if it's without Jesus by faith, I don't want anything to do with it.

And so, it's not so much about going around trying to be righteously doing righteous things,

For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

But simply about only doing that which is by faith, and leaving everything else behind:

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.

In the end, it's all about sinners still sinning, no matter how hard they try not to, and saints no more sinning by grace through faith in Jesus alone.

It's neither faith alone nor law alone, but Jesus Christ and Him crucified fulfilling the righteousness of the law, not by works only, but by grace through faith in the power of Christ:

Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

We escape sinning first, by grace with forgiveness of sins, and then whatsoever we do, we simply do it with a pure heart of faith toward God:

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Faith is not about doing. Faith is about Believing.

DISCIPLESHIP: is about doing. = "I will show you my faith by my WORKS", is not about trying to believe... Its about doing the works that are the fruit of discipleship that is created by Faith that God has accepted to make you a "new Creation in Christ".

Imagine a hyper religious person trying to be like Christ, yet they are not yet born again, as a "new creation in Christ".

They are water baptized but not born again.
Jesus said..>"You MUST be born again".

But they can't understand the CROSS, and they do not exist <SPIRITUALLY> as "ONE WITH GOD"< as : "made righteous".
They can talk "commandments" and "enduring" and water baptism, till they pass out. But the "Blood Atonement" that is what Jesus said is "FINISHED" when He was about to die on the CROSS, is not known to them.

See, most believers do not understand that SALVATION is God on the Cross Saving you, and you are saved by God on the Cross, = THROUGH FAITH.

Its a ETERNAL EXCHANGE.

You give God your faith in Christ, and God applies the Sacrifice of Holy Jesus to you, as the "Gift of Salvation".
And that Sacrifice Christ has accomplished on The CROSS is LIFE ETERNAL, FORGIVEN SIN, and The Righteousness of God.
Its the BLOOD ATONEMENT.
The BELIEVER is GIFTED from God with all that, as the "gift of Salvation", that you RECEIVE BY FAITH...... and Christ becomes the sin of the BELIEVER, and dies for them all.
See tha EXCHANGE?
That is the DIVINE EXCHANGE.

So, After you are saved by God on the Cross..... =Then, you get water baptized, and then you 'Present your body a living sacrifice" as now you have the correct STATUS as a born again Son/Daughter of God, to be doing "works" and "bearing Fruit".
You do not do that to try to be saved or to try to stay saved.
You do that because you ARE SAVED.

Jesus of the Bible was not a ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED religious zealot.

Which Jesus do you have?

“But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough.” (2 Corinthians 11:3-4)

The zealots are those who insist those who are saved by God's grace can become damned again if they're not careful.
That's a lie.

Jesus died to seal the truth of his grace full free irrevocable gift of eternal salvation.
It is of God. Not ourselves so that none may boast.

But of course, God knows natural man will do just that when they claim salvation isn't what Jesus said it is.Which means it is something humans can attain for themselves. And lose too.

Anyone who knows what it is to be saved and in Christ know the truth of the good news.
We can never lose our salvation.

Those like yourself who insist we can go back to being damned,which is what it means to insist we can lose salvation, are false.

Anyone who thinks Christians can return to damnation never knew what it was to be saved. That's why their natural mind insists they're in control. Even over God's covenant.

Faith is not about doing. Faith is about Believing.

DISCIPLESHIP: is about doing. = "I will show you my faith by my WORKS", is not about trying to believe... Its about doing the works that are the fruit of discipleship that is created by Faith that God has accepted to make you a "new Creation in Christ".

Imagine a hyper religious person trying to be like Christ, yet they are not yet born again, as a "new creation in Christ".
Millions of people are trying to be like Christ, and yet, are not a "new Creation".
They are water baptized but not born again.
Jesus said..>"You MUST be born again".
They are RELIGIOUS, and can post the same verses on a forum like maniacs.
But they can't understand the CROSS, and they do not exist <SPIRITUALLY> as "ONE WITH GOD"< as : "made righteous".
They can talk "commandments" and "enduring" and water baptism, till they pass out. But the "Blood Atonement" that is what Jesus said is "FINISHED" when He was about to die on the CROSS, is not known to them.

See, most believers do not understand that SALVATION is God on the Cross Saving you, and you are saved by God on the Cross, = THROUGH FAITH.

Its a ETERNAL EXCHANGE.

You give God your faith in Christ, and God applies the Sacrifice of Holy Jesus to you, as the "Gift of Salvation".
And that Sacrifice Christ has accomplished on The CROSS is LIFE ETERNAL, FORGIVEN SIN, and The Righteousness of God.
Its the BLOOD ATONEMENT.
The BELIEVER is GIFTED from God with all that, as the "gift of Salvation", that you RECEIVE BY FAITH...... and Christ becomes the sin of the BELIEVER, and dies for them all.
See tha EXCHANGE?
That is the DIVINE EXCHANGE.

So, After you are saved by God on the Cross..... =Then, you get water baptized, and then you 'Present your body a living sacrifice" as now you have the correct STATUS as a born again Son/Daughter of God, to be doing "works" and "bearing Fruit".
You do not do that to try to be saved or to try to stay saved.
You do that because you ARE SAVED.

Where in anything I said, do I imply doing anything good in sight of God, without first knowing Jesus in the heart?
