My point is that there isn’t a need or purpose for a future 1000 years. Jesus already fulfilled it all.

Jesus fulfilled what He was sent to Accomplish, and called it FINISHED.
Isa 55:11
John 19:28
John 19:30

Jesus shall return and fulfill more, and it shall be called DONE.
Rev 21:6

The 1,000 year reign is purposed according to God...
The reign of Christ Jesus, is expressly A ONE WORLD KING over and above NATIONS of mortals with their kings.....
Rev 19:16

AND ZERO influence (excuses) of Satan or any demonic angels for 1,000 years.
Rev 20:2

If that were true, we'd be observing the Feast of Tabernacles every year. Do you?
In a manner of speaking Yes, as do many:

That is, we take communion "in remembrance" of all that God has done, and we look forward to "the times of the gentiles being fulfilled" coming to a close.

That's not accurate. We take communion in remembrance of His sacrifice until He returns (or drinks new wine with His disciples in His kingdom.)
I can say that with complete confidence because Jesus hadn't accomplished anything but "signs" at the time of the last supper. His redemptive work was on the cross and that didn't happen yet.

This is simply laughable. If Jesus "fulfilled" the Millennium, we should now be living is "the New Heavens and the New Earth". And that would mean an earth which has been TOTALLY CLEANSED from all sin and evil -- wherein dwelleth "everlasting righteousness".

This forum is simply full of bizarre ad nonsensical ideas. I trust everyone is on their toes, and does not believe all the nonsense being posted daily.

“When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.” John 19:30

Good point...no need then to take communion, for those to whom He has already "come in to, and sups with."

Nonetheless, what had not yet happened, He foretold, His body was broken and blood spilled, and we can rejoice!

Yes, but scripture is clear in saying that we await the redemption of our bodies. That speaks to the resurrection (and the transformation of those who remain alive at His 2nd coming.)

Will there be or is there a need for a future Messianic temple age?

What is the Jewish belief in Moshiach or the Messiah?

One of the principles of Jewish faith enumerated by Maimonides is that one day there will arise a dynamic Jewish leader, a direct descendant of the Davidic dynasty, who will rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem, and gather Jews from all over the world and bring them back to the Land of Israel.

All the nations of the world will recognize Moshiach to be a world leader, and will accept his dominion. In the messianic era there will be world peace, no more wars nor famine, and, in general, a high standard of living.

All mankind will worship one God, and live a more spiritual and moral way of life. The Jewish nation will be preoccupied with learning Torah and fathoming its secrets.

The coming of Moshiach will complete God’s purpose in creation: for man to make an abode for God in the lower worlds—that is, to reveal the inherent spirituality in the material world.

Christians already know that Jesus is the Jewish Messiah but why was He rejected? .

There are two reasons why the Jews didn’t accept Jesus as the Messiah one being that they expected the Messiah to deliver them from human bondage and rule of Rome and set up a physical messianic temple kingdom in Jerusalem but what exactly is the messianic temple age or kingdom?

In Abrahamic religions , the Messianic Age is the future period of time on Earth in which the Messiah will reign and bring universal peace and brotherhood
, without any evil . Many believe that there will be such an age; some refer to it as the consummate " kingdom of God " or the " world to come ".

The other reason the Jews rejected Jesus is because He claimed to be God. The Jews don’t believe that the Messiah is God thus they didn't realize that the Messiah and God are one. The Jews are not looking for the Messiah to deliver them from their sins only to deliver them from human rule and bondage and set up the messianic kingdom but what Jesus did was far greater He being God paid the price by His sacrifice on the cross and saved them from their sins.

It wasn’t a blasphemy to claim to be the Messiah in Jesus’ day but it was blasphemy to claim to be God and this is the reason that the Pharisees sentenced Jesus to death when He claimed to be the Son of man from Daniel 7:13-14 during His trial thus claiming that He and the Father are one.

If Jesus already fulfilled the purpose for the sacrificial temple age through the cross is there really a need for a future messianic sacrificial temple age?

Why would God still impose a messianic temple age which only pointed to Jesus if Jesus already fulfilled its purpose?

This is the main reason why I don't believe in a future messianic thousand year temple age or even a future third temple as there is no need or purpose for it as it would only push the non believing Jews further away from Jesus.

Several major errors in your above assumptions...

1. CLAIM: The Jews expected Messiah to deliver them from bondage of rule by the Romans.

Only PARTIALLY TRUE. That is what the 'people' believed, but not necessarily what the scribes and Pharisees that sought to kill Jesus believed. The Pharisees instead saw Jesus' popularity and workings of miracles as a THREAT to their established status quo. They saw Him as a seditionist coming to overthrow their regime. For that reason, they sought something against Him to use to kill Him. That is why even at the first of Jesus' Ministry, before Jesus made any claims of being God, the scribes and Pharisees were already after Him to kill Him. Thus you are making excuses for the murdering character of those specific blind scribes and Pharisees, for Jesus revealed in John 8 who they represented, children of the devil (John 8:38-47).

2. CLAIM: The false Jews used Christ's claim to be God to have Him delivered up and executed.

Again only PARTIALLY true, but that only came later towards the end of Christ's Ministry, and the Pharisees sent 'their own'... soldiers to the garden of Gethsemane to arrest Jesus. The Romans were not behind Jesus' arrest. Pilate even saw no fault in Jesus. But the scribes and Pharisees stirred the people up to demand that Lord Jesus be executed, because they claimed Jesus was a 'SEDITIONIST' come to overthrow the government, and that is still the claim by the orthodox Jews written in their Talmud writings.

3. CLAIM: No need for a another 3rd temple in Jerusalem, because Jesus already fulfilled its purpose by His perfect sacrifice upon His cross.

FALSE, that the 'purpose' for another future 3rd temple was fulfilled by Lord Jesus. Notice that you left out the specific point about 'unbelieving' Jews in that assumption.

The Zechariah 6 Scripture about "The BRANCH" (Messiah) reveals that He will build the temple when He comes...

The 'unbelieving' Jews wrongly teach that Zechariah 6:12-13 Scripture was about the rebuilding of the 2nd temple, with Zerubbabel back in history when a remnant of Jews returned to Jerusalem after their 70 years Babylon captivity...

Zech 6:12-13
12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, "Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD:

13 Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.
KJV

Lord Jesus Christ is that "BRANCH". That name was also used in Isaiah 11 for Lord Jesus, "a rod out of the stem of Jesse".

In verse 13 above, that, "... and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne:..." is about JESUS also, because ONLY Lord Jesus will be both KING and PRIEST upon His Throne when He returns. None have held that OFFICE of King-Priest during this present world. That's another way to know that above Zech.6 Scripture is about Lord Jesus and the BUILDING OF THE FUTURE MILLENNIAL TEMPLE at His future return!

This means today's ORTHODOX UNBELIEVING JEWS will build their 3rd temple for the end of this world, because their Jewish scholars well know that when Messiah comes, he is to build their temple. Problem is, the majority of the Jews don't know that a false-Messiah is coming first playing The Christ, and that is who they will worship. Then after that, Lord Jesus will come and destroy... their 3rd temple, and instead build His "thousand years" temple like the Zechariah 6 prophecy says.

Zech 6:15
15 And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God.

KJV

That also is part of that future prophecy when Jesus builds His future Millennial temple. God posed an IF condition for those Jews, involving Messiah's coming. They would have to OBEY the voice of The LORD, i.e., believe Jesus is Messiah. At Jesus' first coming, they did not obey, they rejected Jesus of Nazareth as The Christ. Thus this prophecy went into abeyance because of the rebellious unbelieving Jews having rejected Jesus Christ, and the prophecy of Messiah (THE BRANCH) coming to build this temple, is still yet to be fulfilled.

No I never mentioned that in my post it didn’t even come to my mind. My point is that there isn’t a need or purpose for a future 1000 years. Jesus already fulfilled it all.
The book of Revelation was written years after Jesus ascended. It was written as a future event, not a fulfilled event years before Revelation was written. At what point in history has all the angels presented themselves on earth, including those bound in chains in Jude 1? Jesus did not fulfill the last 1992 years. They still had to happen. Jesus was the Atonement. But Jesus was not time fulfilled, that will happen.

Jesus on earth did not change nor alter time that would always be. Jesus has not fulfilled a 1,000 year reign on earth.

I never said any of that happened what I said was that Jesus fulfilled the purpose for the temple that’s why God had it destroyed as it wasn’t needed anymore.

Luke 81:31
Jesus took the Twelve aside and told them, “We are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled.

Luke 19:41-44
41 As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it 42 and said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes. 43 The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side. 44 They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you.”

Yes, but scripture is clear in saying that we await the redemption of our bodies. That speaks to the resurrection (and the transformation of those who remain alive at His 2nd coming.)
Yes, but in that is the common misunderstanding that says even though Jesus went to the Father and has returned when those who heard His knocking, let Him in, but say that He has not come a second time already. But if the one is true, so is the other...and to deny it, is to deny one has Jesus. It is a matter little faith not allowing for all that was promised to actually be true. Moreover, it is the fulfillment of "every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world."

But, yes, "we await the redemption of our bodies", but only because (as Paul claimed and modeled) "for me to live is Christ." This is what is meant by "we who are alive and remain." Which is not to say, we await in full, but only await that lesser part, which now suffers as Christ also suffered, but only for a season.

But it doesn’t say that the demons are bound only satan so is it literal?

Hi Marty ~
Depending on what translated Bible you use...Satan, has several names, and his own “angels” / “devils” “demons” etc. that follow Satan and does as he directs them.
I don’t have a great study of notes on Devils, but do believe the millennial reign is purposed for mortal nations to not be subjected to Devils....Satan or his following devils, for the duration of 1,000 years of generations living, reproductive, dying...

My own perspective, is a sorts of God covering all bases of absolute Justice...no excuses...whaa, whaa, not fair we had to live with Devils roaming around that we could not see...and no God we could see...

Jesus will be visible and available in His Kingdom...Nations kings will be set a time to pilgrimage to Jesus’ kingdom yearly to ... Learn about the the Lord God...and teach his people....and IMO all devils will not be present on the earth to influence the nations against the Lord God...
....and even void of the devils....the nations will get comfy, stop going to Jesus’ kingdom, as generations progress...a repeat...of wealthy, greedy, immoral, corrupt....and when satan is loosed they will be easily influenced to band with satan and attempt to attack Jesus’ Kingdom.

Kind of looks like a preview Looking at this world today. Greedy, Immoral advocated and acceptably free flowing.

Anyway my perspective. I believe demons are satan’s Angels and do as he does and are collectively removed from the face of the earth for 1,000 year, return, are defeated, and permanently bound in the bottomless pit in hell.

Hi taken thanks for your reply but it doesn’t say that the demons are bound only satan. So if literal how come?

Humans are capable of evil all by themselves there would still be sin even if satan is bound

Hi taken thanks for your reply but it doesn’t say that the demons are bound only satan. So if literal how come?

Demons follow satan, they are his angels, a couple of references.
Matt 25:42, Rev 12:7, Rev 12:9

Humans are capable of evil all by themselves there would still be sin even if satan is bound

Well, ya we can suspect that, but really humans have never existed without Satan’s presence.
God is Just. I believe for 1,000 years men will exist without Satan, his angels evil influence.

I believe men are more so Wicked, than evil demons with powers. Men have to trick, deceive, and typically for their own worldly gain. Satan is after souls.

God Bless,

Matt 25:42, Rev 12:7, Rev 12:9

Well, ya we can suspect that, but really humans have never existed without Satan’s presence.
God is Just. I believe for 1,000 years men will exist without Satan, his angels evil influence.

I believe men are more so Wicked, than evil demons with powers. Men have to trick, deceive, and typically for their own worldly gain. Satan is after souls.

God Bless,

What would be the purpose of men living without satan for 1000 years?

What would be the purpose of men living without satan for 1000 years?

A wrap up of sorts, zero excuses. Meaning, Observe history of manKind.
* ManKIND created and made, very good.
* ManKIND put in Gods Garden.
* God IN the Garden...and
* ManKIND Told good, Offered good, Good available for the taking, Warned of not good, Warned of consequences for choices.
* Evil also in the garden...and
* The freewill of manKIND revealed, encouraged, (choose taking, rejecting, choose eats, choose names, etc.)

* manKINDS design, created (dust form) with TWO ears.
* manKINDS receipt, made (soul breathed in) for TWO ears to HEAR.

Metaphor...which ear to listen, hear, ponder, choose, accept, reject...

Review History,
~ men could not SEE God, complain.
~ men Taught About God, complained they could not see Him.
~ men Taught Gods Word of what shall come to pass, complained it took to long to come to pass.
~ some men Freely patient, others impatient.
~ men complain God allows evil
~ men complain God has power to MAKE all believe, but doesn’t.
~ men complain God so mean, B-cuz, loved ones sick, die young, etc.
~ God sends His Word, men complain, not how THEY wanted/ expected.
~ men want a paradise earth, good only, needs fulfilled for all, etc.

Get the Picture?

Every step for every terrestrial manKIND of thing, regardless of race, gender, location, etc. all individually are the same...begin as babes;
learn what they desire, believe what they desire; experience the wondering, complaining, doubting, following....and land on their individual Choosing....Accept and Commit or Reject....
this ear or that ear.

From beginning to ending...men ARE DIVIDED.
In the LAST DAYS....of Mortal manKIND...like men throughout history have heard, wondered, waited for things come to pass, hoped for a paradise earth......AND observed TID BITS.....(previews, so to speak)...wars, wild weather, devastation, healthy, sickness, giving, taking, rich, poor, hungry, full, etc.

END OF DAYS of mortal man is coming....BUT before that happens...
There IS ONE LAST thing for world at large of manKIND to get a glimpse of BEFORE it comes to pass...

Just as manKIND has had “previews” of peace, calm and plenty...and “previews” of war, calamity and sparse...

IMO the Last Days shall be A preview of a paradise earth...
Lord God with men, And ONLY GOOD teaching, men living together in peace, plenty of needs for everyone, Evil does not exist on Earth, kings of nations sit in honored seats conducting business of the nations people honorably, upright and just....
TO START....with a pre-established Time frame...AND...an ALREADY known ENDING....
...with the Presence of Good ONLY, plenty for all, joy and peace, VOID of Evil........THAT freewill thingy....WILL reveal itself over the course of Time.....OF manKIND’s ability to Carnally THINK, IMAGINE, PONDER the RESULTS to ACT on their Carnal THOUGHTS of GREED to accumulate, Possessions OF others, Power OVER others.....
...AND...imo, Nothing new. God IS Just. He fulfills the desires of mens hearts. Want to BE with God...it will be. Want to BE without God, it will be.
...AND...per the already established TIME frame of 1,000 years, Evil Satan shall be loosed, and again influence the Nations (people there of), WHO are carnally pondering wicked greed of oppressing others to fill their desires....and Satan will be ready to Lead them. Whispering in willing ears and giving confidence built on lies...
...That is my perspective...everyone gets what they desire....and the thing is, this is Gods World, He created For men who choose Him...and all others will be removed, once and forever.

Sorry Scott, but the ancient hope of the saints going back at least as far as Job, is the physical resurrection of our bodies and as Paul clarifies, freed from sin.
