Ah, so here we see Gehenna Fire which is an illusions to the Valley of Hinnom, a place where some of the wicked kings of Israel practiced human sacrifice. Also Jerusalem's local rubbish tip!
Your list is struggling at the moment grailhunter!
Maybe you know of other verses which show this literal place of eternal fire? You will know Gehenna is not burning today?

Adventist in General listened to the Christian Connextion Movement. Ellen White's Husband was a Minister of C.C. . The main publisher of SDA materials was also part of the c.C. Charles Taze Russell listened to some SDA. Rutherford took over Russell's International Bible Students and renamed his brach Jehovah's Witnesses.

The origins of Hell (fanciful meaning) is yet to be defined in this OP.
In terms of the origin of the grave well the origin story is clearly defined for all to know and understanding here Genesis 3:19
Imagine the response of the Christian when they are informed it was the figurative language for the grave they stumbled over - misunderstanding what happens upon death which caught them out!
When Ecclesiastes 3:19-20 is fully understood only then will hell, hades, gehenna etc be known.
What are the consequences for misinterpreting this subject?
1. Disappointment in no existence after death
2. Waking to realise your hope was wrong
3. Waking to realise you misunderstood the true enemy
4. Waking to realise your faith was built on man made teachings
5. Waking to realise you were shown truth and you denied it

I think you are confused about what a figure of speech is.
Face2face's definition of figure of speech......
1. Something he does not like
2. A metaphor for explaining away the scriptures he does not like..
Actual figure of speech....The evening sky was a blaze with a orange glow
Not figurative.....The evening sky had bright orange glow to it.
