Yes, ecumenism is condemned by the Bible

Ecumenism
the principle or aim of promoting unity among the world's Christian Churches.

I know it is history....but at no time does Christ or the Apostles suggest multiple denominations, much less 30,000.

I don't see too many KJB Onlyists believing this way.
I run into them all the time.
Even G rated movies have bad and disturbing things in them. Just Google it.
The point here is that if a movie is not Christian, what business does a Christian have in watching it?
Can you honestly watch a movie these days without sins being pushed upon you in some way?
Remember, garbage in and garbage out. You reap what you sow.

A Christians should do all things to the glory of God.
There is no glorying God when you watch a sinful or worldly movie.

Well I disagree on three levels....
The Bible does not discuss plays on the stage like back in those days.....Oh but that is history and you have your own reality in your head.
Of course the Bible does not discuss movies....so it cannot be a biblical sin....one of the best example of men making fake sins. Personal opinions do not equate to sin.
With this line of thinking you could make most everything we do be a sin....sports, boating, camping etc.
But that does not mean a person cannot like a show, but it is not a sin. And what I do not like is the media using sinful propaganda commercials during G rated shows. LGBTQ

Pornography comes from an antient Greek word....pornografía....writings or paintings. And it is history so you may not understand it....in those days it was everywhere, Roman homes could have it on the floors, walls, and ceilings and a whole lot statues out in public. I am surprised that Christ and the Apostles did not directly address it. The Apostles had to change the meaning of some Greek words because the Greek language did not have words for Christian morals, but pornografía is a Greek word....so they could have used this word to address the subject. I just do not know why they did not address it.

Modern pornography....watching prostitutes having sex. The scriptures do define prostitution as a sin, so on that merit I believe pornstars are sinning. Is watching prostitutes having sex a sin? Of course the scriptures do not address this even though back in those days it was easy enough to watch prostitutes having sex. Considering that it did not take long for Christianity to adopt the belief that sex and women were dirty, nasty, and sinful and of the devil.....even sex within marriage was eventually condemned, one has to wonder where they got all that....it is not from the scriptures. So watching prostitutes having sex is not a biblical sin....directly. But the scriptures do cover personal opinions as sins. Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin. James 4:17 Of course this verse occurs just before the discussion on the sins of the rich and what a person "knows" can be a personal opinion. But still I believe that if you believe something is wrong it can be a sin onto you.....not a biblical scripture but for me it applies to pornography in that supporting the industry of pornography or patronizing it causes others to sin and there are scriptures about causing others to sin. It is still a grey area because it can apply to so many things. Some people think that driving an automobile is a sin so if you drive a car......

Of course some point to open ended scriptures but that is the bread and butter of those that want to twist and add meanings to the scriptures. I do not have issues with nudity and in ancient time it could be argued that breasts were not considered nudity. There is no discussion in the scriptures about women covering up when they breast feed their babies. Most of this is governed by the fake sins associated with the false beliefs that has been promulgated that sex, women, and nudity is dirty, nasty, and sinful and of the devil. The tentacles of these beliefs have skewed the understandings of many things. What is purity? Many believe that you have to be virgin to be pure....so mommies cannot be pure. So it was important to believe that Miriam was a virgin after God impregnated her....and God having sex with Miriam was out of the question because it is so dirty, nasty, and sinful. Augustine believed in contagious sin through sex and that babies were born with sin.

The Old Testament limits nudity to the pubic area and whose pubic area you should not uncover.

Some would say that string bikinis are nudity.....I do not and of course the scriptures are not going to address string bikinis but 1st Timothy 2:9 does say....Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments,....Paul came short of calling it a sin saying, I want....so depending how you interpret this scripture you would have to stay away from beaches and swimming pools. And in relation to modest dress, you might have to stay away from churches.

Do you believe a Christian in some circumstances can watch porn to masterbate are saved while doing so?
What if it was cartoon porn where nobody is actually doing the wrong deed?
Would that then not be a sin for a believer to watch such a thing?
Yes, or no? Tell it to me straight. If you evade the question, I will take that to mean you do believe that such a thing is possible.

So it was important to believe that Miriam was a virgin after God impregnated her....and God having sex with Miriam was out of the question because it is so dirty, nasty, and sinful. Augustine believed in contagious sin through sex and that babies were born with sin.
May the LORD rebuke you for your unclean blasphemous words.

You really have no understanding of basic morality or the Bible. If men did not lust after looking at breasts or cleavage then it would not be a problem. Jesus had a problem with one lusting after a woman (See: Matthew 5:28-20). Therefore, we can conclude that the showing of breasts publicly is wrong and a sin.

There is no reason for me to evade the question.
Christians should not watch porn.
But then again people can think a man and a woman kissing on TV is porn.....I disagree.
Cartoons....LOL....It does not matter if its cartoons or pictures.....Playboy.
The whole think about thing is away for people to condemn what is not there and oh my how many sins can be fabricated with that.
And masturbation is not a sin. LOL

Do you see what you are doing here? This is what the false beliefs cause....insanity....hysteria!. The promulgation of false beliefs is a sin This whole demonization of sex in itself is a condemnation of God and a sin. How this happened is still a study...Christianity quickly lost sight of the fact that Satan did not create sex. God created the process of desire that men and women have for each other so that they would come together and make families….the act of sex itself….and procreation…and marriage and God did make it more than a process, He made it feel good with a release of emotions that husband and wife would experience and have to rely on each other for it. For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh. Genesis 2:24 What God has made, Christianity has spent centuries demonizing and the result has been a history of horror. Eventually Christianity came up with their own vocabulary to condemn sex and inserted them into their Bibles.
May the LORD rebuke you for your unclean blasphemous words.
As far as God having sex with Miriam.
Again you are so funny!

The angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God…..notice Son of God. By the description in the scriptures there is no reason to assume that Yeshua’s conception occurred any other way than God’s seed fertilizing Miriam’s egg.

The Most High will overshadow you…..missionary position. No reason for God to overshadow her if He was going to zap her pregnant, He could have done that from Heaven.

The word used to describe this biblical event is conceived…..that word mean male seed fertilizing a female egg.

The scriptures say that Yeshua is the begotten Son of Yahweh. Most people know what begotten means. Its very important that Yeshua was the real Son of God. If all it amounted to was zapping women pregnant, God could zapped a thousand women and had an army of Messiahs. Call’em Zap 1, Zap 2….etc. But none of them would have been the Son of God. And would not represent the sacrifice that God made by sending His Son.

Even something as simple as the word son means something to most people.....genetic relationship to the father.

By the time the sex haters get done manufacturing a story that is not biblical, what they describe is Christ is a creation…not the Son of God. Beaming Him in to Miriam's womb, not impregnating Miriam…And besides there is really no biblical support for this conjured up klondike fable. And then the Catholics come along and say that God beaming Him in and Beaming Him out so they could say that Miriam was a virgin before conception and after she gave birth to Yeshua.

You really have no understanding of basic morality or the Bible.

My religion is base on the Word of God, not the word of man. I do not believe false beliefs.....they are very harmful and have skewed the meaning of so many scripture and some times condemn God like they know better than God.

If men did not lust after looking at breasts or cleavage then it would not be a problem.

Man your head is all twisted up with these false beliefs.....it takes a lot of patience to talk to you.
You honestly think that it was not God that made it so that men were attracted to women....to their beauty and their twin firm roundnesses. Who do you think created this.....the devil? The sex hater beliefs have caused some of the worse atrocities at the hands of the Church ....horrible sins caused by false beliefs.

May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth. As a loving hind and a graceful doe, Let her breasts satisfy you at all times; Be exhilarated always with her love. Proverbs 5:18-19

I already disproven many of your false beliefs by posting the plain reading of the Word of God that exists today (of which I am sure you see as additions or corruptions in God’s Holy Word). Any unbiased Christian reader of the Bible (as it exists today) will be able to see you are in grave error. I merely continued to engaged you to finally show that your list of fake sins is not all true when compared to the Holy Bible (and your butchered version of it). You will have to answer to God for your false liberal beliefs here unless you repent. While I am not perfect, I do strive to be and I believe what is written in His Word. I believe God’s Word should change us and we should not change the Word.

I pray you find the narrow way. Right now you are on the broad and wide gate path that most of Christianity is on (in that they justify sin and worldly sinful things).

Side Note:

As for my question to you in regards to porn and masterbation. Well, you believe masterbation is not a sin (Which is false). But you did not answer directly whether a Christian can watch porn and still be saved. By your evasion of answering “Yes,” or “No” as I wished and your use of words that imply sex is not bad, this means that you do believe a Christian can watch porn and masterbate and still be saved while doing the very act. Am I correct in that is what you believe? Yes? I will take that as a…. Yes (Because it seems you are trying to be muddy or unclear with your words on the issue or point with porn watching). In either case, I would encourage you to repent and know the LORD Jesus for real. For a Christian cannot justify sin in this life and be saved. Salvation does not work like that.

Right now you believe you see.

But John 9:41 says,
“Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.”

No you have not. You are only kidding yourself. That is the life of a delusional people.

As for my question to you in regards to porn and masterbation. Well, you believe masterbation is not a sin
I did answer it.

But you did not answer directly whether a Christian can watch porn and still be saved.

It is like any other sin....certainly not the unpardonable sin.

By your evasion of answering “Yes,” or “No”

I did not evade anything.

Because it seems you are trying to be muddy or unclear with your words on the issue or point with porn watching)

I clearly said Christians should not watch porn. But lying about what people say....is that sin?
I would encourage you to repent and know the LORD Jesus for real.

I would encourage you to repent from spreading false beliefs and twisting God's Word and pray for a brain so you can understand the Word of God

You did NOT answer my question in that a Christian can watch porn and still be saved while doing so.

#1. You did not say…. “Yes, BH, you can watch porn and be saved.”
#2. You did not say…. “No, BH, you cannot watch porn and be saved.”

Tell it to me straight. You are answering like a politician who muddies the waters with non-answers.

There is a difference of what a Christian should not do vs. what they should not do at the cost of their salvation.

Some Christians have a deep seeded hatred for sex, like it is the worst of all sins, and it is not. I said, It is like any other sin. We can be forgiven for sins.....but it is the lifestyle sins that will bite you in the tail. I have been very clear with you and you have yet to prove any point of your false beliefs......Want to try harder? LOL

Still not clear with your words here. Will a Christian go to hell for watching porn? Yes or no? Answer please with yes or no.

How is that different than masterbation that is without porn? Jesus appeared to think that just lusting after a woman is to commit adultery and cause one to be cast bodily into hellfire (Matthew 5:28-30). Jesus did not say you need to do this sin habitually or that you need to practice this sin to be condemned.

You don’t seem to think sex before marriage is a sin. In your book, a can person probably date and have sex with different people over the course of many years (Because those relationships did not work out). But how is that different than porn? A camera just captures them having different partners but in a smaller period of time. How is that different?

What if there is a porn video of a couple who were faithful to each other? Would that then be okay to watch? What if a person made a video of themselves being intimate to each other and they later watched it and they did not plan on having sex with anyone else? How is that different than watching regular porn?

You don’t seem to think sex before marriage is a sin.
No if you have sex you are married. Come on.....find a scripture that says you have to have a wedding ceremony before you are married.
The Mosaic Law.....613 Mosaic Laws and not a word about a requirement for a wedding ceremony, not a word about masterbating being a sin, not a word about drinking wine being a sin.

Your not answering me…. Yes or no.
Can a Christian watch porn and not go to hell? Yes, or no.
Well because you have a stupid question. I have told you that Christians should not watch porn and I have told you that it is like any other sin.
If you are trying to imply that it is an unforgiveable sin....it is not.
Can you go to hell for watching porn.....again like any other sin it can lead to hell.

You either don’t believe the Bible as it is written plainly today or you detective skills need to be polished.

Again, Deuteronomy 22:20-21 says:

“But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel:
Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father's house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.”

The idea here is that she was discovered in not being a virgin on their wedding night, she would be killed. It does not say that she was married previously to another man. King Solomon had many wives and concubines. Both can provide sex but the difference is if they were married on paper and had legal rights and status as a part of the family. A concubine has no legal right and status. They are a sex partner and nothing more. Concubines should not exist if what you say is true. That’s why what you say here is nonsense.

In fact, you say masterbation is not a sin but many today associate this practice with porn.

And you think this relates to what? And yes this is one of the Mosaic Laws. And why it was a custom of the Jews for the mother to go in and collect the sheets to prove her daughter was a virgin. What do you think the tokens of her virginity where? Are you starting a new topic?

Eating is closely associated with gluttony. You are trying to insert false beliefs into the scriptures. I am the wrong person to try that with.
My ministry is the Johnny Apple seed of truth....I stand for the truth of the scriptures, I do not try to twist the scriptures to say what I want them to. Study the scriptures and try to learn from them.....not superimpose your beliefs on the scriptures. This is one the reasons that Protestants have so many denominations.

And you think this relates to what? And yes this is one of the Mosaic Laws. And why it was a custom of the Jews for the mother to go in and collect the sheets to prove her daughter was a virgin. What do you think the tokens of her virginity where? Are you starting a new topic?
Again, nothing is said she was married to another man or other men before trying to get married. Why would she want to marry a guy if she was already married? To be married means you were to be taken care of. You had to pay a pride price and bring a marriage contract to be married. Sex would not cut it alone. In fact, faithful Christians are the bride of Christ. Jesus paid the bride price by purchasing her with his own blood. Then Jesus gives us the marriage contract which is the New Covenant or New Testament. We are to be faithful to this New Covenant contract in order to be married to Christ. No contract means there is no marriage.

I said the same thing from the beginning, see post 305 and 307.
Not true. I just read 305, and 307. It does not say that you believe that porn can lead a Christian to hell (or by the use of similar wording).

Eating is closely associated with gluttony.
That does not undo what I said. When you tell other people that masterbation is not a sin, you can lead them to believe that they can indulge in porn because that is what is commonly understood by masterbation in our current modern day age.

You are trying to insert false beliefs into the scriptures. I am the wrong person to try that with.
No. You are the one who is inserting false beliefs into the Scriptures. Jesus said to the woman at the well that the man she currently was with was not her husband and yet she had five husbands previously. This means a person can have a sex partner and not be married. This truth is backed up by the fact that Solomon had both wives and concubines. So you are deceived.

My ministry is the Johnny Apple seed of truth....
Yes, we know you follow Johnny Appleseed of truth.
I follow Jesus Christ and His truth instead.
Were you baptized in the name of Johny Appleseed?

I stand for the truth of the scriptures,
No you don’t. There is no actual perfect inerrant Word of God that exists on our planet that you believe in whole heartedly.

I do not try to twist the scriptures to say what I want them to.
Again, not true. You have to ignore tons of verses to make your odd liberal beliefs work.

Study the scriptures and try to learn from them.....not superimpose your beliefs on the scriptures. This is one the reasons that Protestants have so many denominations.
I can say the same for you in that you should impose your beliefs upon the Scriptures. But we both cannot be right.
