Amens, brother. The remnant of Israel saved are faithful Jews of Old. They represent the Church on earth as it existed through the nation before the advent of Christ. According to Paul the remnant consisted of seven thousand who had not bowed to the image of Baal. In addition to these seven thousand, Paul says that at "this present time ALSO there is a remnant according to election of grace." In the days of Paul the remnant that came out of the Old Covenant nation are included with the seven thousand Jews of faith.
Romans 11:4-5 (KJV) But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
You discount the words of Paul and create from your imagination a remnant as 1/3 of Jews that exist today so that you can force fit it into your unbiblical doctrine. Do you not understand that the Church on earth after the advent of Christ is not counted according to ethnicity. The Church since Christ has come is identified by FAITH, and called Christians from every nation, tribe, kindred and tongue. How many times must you be shown that circumcision (Jews) account for nothing, nor does uncircumcision (Gentiles) account for anything, but a NEW CREATURE in Christ, a people of grace through faith ALONE!
Of course, the innumerable multitude includes this remnant of Old Covenant faithful Jews. They too believed the prophesy of Messiah who would come to save them. Therefore, they too are redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. But now the number is not a small remnant of Old, but of people from every nation, tribe, kingdom and tongue, an innumerable multitude.
Can you not see how your doctrine is built upon what you guess the text might mean? Guessing what the text might mean is no better than presenting verses out of context to force fit them to your preconceived doctrine, forcing contradiction into Scripture.
"Then the next vision contains an innumerable amount - obviously not the same group. Turn to Chapter 14, another vantage point of the 144k and we see that they are all virgin males, "who have not defiled themselves with woman". Are you a virgin? Evidently God has a special assignment for these. Maybe he will be grouping them with 144k virgin women to repopulate the nation of Israel?"
When read in context we find these same 144,000 from all the tribes of the children of Israel are, after being sealed by the Spirit, together with the Lamb on Mount Sion in heaven, having His Father's name written on their foreheads. Notice their virginity is from following the Lamb wherever He goes. They are virgins in the sense that they were not caught up in idolatry, but pure in their fidelity of worship to the Lord. They are the True Church of Old as betrothed the chaste bride of Christ. They are without impurity being redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, having all their sins forgiven, and possessing eternal life. They are called the firstfruits, belonging to the first spiritual harvest of souls taken with Christ to heaven from Old Covenant Israel.
Revelation 14:1-5 (KJV) And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.
In writing of this great cloud of witnesses of Old who have died in faith before the advent of Christ, the writer of Hebrews says Mount Sion is the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and an innumerable company of angels. This verse confirms what Christ says of our spiritual resurrection when believers die. Not only do believers go to heaven spiritually alive after death (living soul), but Christ says we shall be in heaven as are the angels in heaven, i.e., spirit beings. (Mt 22 Mk 12)
Hebrews 12:22 (KJV) But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
Hebrews 12:18-24 (KJV) For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest, And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more: (For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart: And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
Dispen/premil's spectacle of 144,000 sex-starved Jews roaming the planet attempting evangelism is beyond risible.
Thanks for your discerning spiritual insights.
