The remnant of Israel saved are faithful Jews of Old. They represent the Church on earth as it existed through the nation before the advent of Christ. According to Paul the remnant consisted of seven thousand who had not bowed to the image of Baal. In addition to these seven thousand, Paul says that at "this present time ALSO there is a remnant according to election of grace." In the days of Paul the remnant that came out of the Old Covenant nation are included with the seven thousand Jews of faith.

Romans 11:4-5 (KJV) But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

You discount the words of Paul and create from your imagination a remnant as 1/3 of Jews that exist today so that you can force fit it into your unbiblical doctrine. Do you not understand that the Church on earth after the advent of Christ is not counted according to ethnicity. The Church since Christ has come is identified by FAITH, and called Christians from every nation, tribe, kindred and tongue. How many times must you be shown that circumcision (Jews) account for nothing, nor does uncircumcision (Gentiles) account for anything, but a NEW CREATURE in Christ, a people of grace through faith ALONE!

Of course, the innumerable multitude includes this remnant of Old Covenant faithful Jews. They too believed the prophesy of Messiah who would come to save them. Therefore, they too are redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. But now the number is not a small remnant of Old, but of people from every nation, tribe, kingdom and tongue, an innumerable multitude.

Can you not see how your doctrine is built upon what you guess the text might mean? Guessing what the text might mean is no better than presenting verses out of context to force fit them to your preconceived doctrine, forcing contradiction into Scripture.

"Then the next vision contains an innumerable amount - obviously not the same group. Turn to Chapter 14, another vantage point of the 144k and we see that they are all virgin males, "who have not defiled themselves with woman". Are you a virgin? Evidently God has a special assignment for these. Maybe he will be grouping them with 144k virgin women to repopulate the nation of Israel?"

When read in context we find these same 144,000 from all the tribes of the children of Israel are, after being sealed by the Spirit, together with the Lamb on Mount Sion in heaven, having His Father's name written on their foreheads. Notice their virginity is from following the Lamb wherever He goes. They are virgins in the sense that they were not caught up in idolatry, but pure in their fidelity of worship to the Lord. They are the True Church of Old as betrothed the chaste bride of Christ. They are without impurity being redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, having all their sins forgiven, and possessing eternal life. They are called the firstfruits, belonging to the first spiritual harvest of souls taken with Christ to heaven from Old Covenant Israel.

Revelation 14:1-5 (KJV) And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

In writing of this great cloud of witnesses of Old who have died in faith before the advent of Christ, the writer of Hebrews says Mount Sion is the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and an innumerable company of angels. This verse confirms what Christ says of our spiritual resurrection when believers die. Not only do believers go to heaven spiritually alive after death (living soul), but Christ says we shall be in heaven as are the angels in heaven, i.e., spirit beings. (Mt 22 Mk 12)

Hebrews 12:22 (KJV) But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

Hebrews 12:18-24 (KJV)
For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest, And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more: (For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart: And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:) But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
Amens, brother.

Dispen/premil's spectacle of 144,000 sex-starved Jews roaming the planet attempting evangelism is beyond risible.

Thanks for your discerning spiritual insights.

That is the Amillennialist view, I know. Just not mine. Let's not go round and round ... it is a futile case. Hold onto it, keep it, I don't care. Once again, for the last time. Bye!

2 Cor. 11:2 is talking about the spiritual Bride (symbolically the Church) being offered to a Husband (symbolically Christ) as a virgin (cleansed of sin, pure)
This verse has nothing to do with Rev. 7 and 14.
Rev. 7 specifically is speaking of 144k from the 12 tribes (physical Jewish descendants generated from their bloodlines). There is no symbolism here. Symbolic language never references real names of real people that existed in history.
Rev. 14 identifies them as 144k males, "who have not defiled themselves with women."
>> IF _ this was a reference to the Church, (symbolically refered to as a bride/female), then it would be stating that it did not defile herself with women. In other words, the female did nit defile herself with a female. It does not make sense.
Spiritually, "there is neither male nor female"; so these passages are not refering to the spiritual Bride, nor the woman as Babylon. The entire world (EVERYONE in it) has fornicated (defiled themselves) with Babylon, the world system that was generated from the original city. All Christians were sinners who needed to be cleansed.
Christ will return and judge the world, hence Babylon will fall.
Where in this passage does it say these are 144,000 MALES?

Revelation 14:1-5 (KJV) And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

In this parable Christ likens the kingdom of heaven unto ten virgins. Limiting those not defiled with women to males only doesn't fit that Christ likens the kingdom of heaven to virgins.

Matthew 25:1 (KJV) Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

This would be the most disgusting and ignorant comment I've seen here.

Firstly the 144k are not all Jews, The most there could be is 24,000, from the tribes of Judah and Benjamin.
Jesus selects the 144k from out of the vast multitude of Christians from every tribe, race, nation and language. Revelation 7:9, Rev 14:1-5 and they , not an angel as allegorically stated in Revelation 14:6-7, go out to the world and proclaim the coming Kingdom of Jesus.
Proved by Isaiah 66:19 That IS our hope for the future!

There it is, spiritually of course - not the nation. The spiritual vine, if you will, is God's kingdom. Gentiles were grafted into this vine. Nevertheless, HE HAS COVENANTS WITH THE JEWS (their physical bloodline, the remnant Israel), in their LAND _ ON EARTH. YOU'VE HEARD OF THE PROMISED LAND BEFORE?
What's with the all caps? Honestly, it's annoying. Please don't do that.

Have you heard of Hebrews 11 where it talks about Abraham dwelling in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign land and how it talks about Abraham and other OT saints looking forward to "a better country" and a city whose builder and maker is God? Read Hebrews 11:8-16 if you never have before.

That covenant has not been revoked. Those boundaries were never fully occupied and realized.
Of course it hasn't been revoked, it has been expanded to include the entire (new/renewed) earth! Again, you need to read Hebrews 11:8-16.

JESUS WILL PHUSICALLY REIGN _ IN JERUSALEM, IN THE NATION OF ISRAEL _ FILLED WITH THAT REMNANT _which will be converted to Christians.
That isn't taught anywhere in scripture. And, how exactly do you think this remnant of Israel "will be converted to Christians"? They will just be forced to be Christians or what?

In HIS Millennial Kingdom, ALL NATIONS OF THE WORLD (which will be filled with Christians only) WILL ANNUALLY GO AND PAY HOMAGE TO THE LORD AND WORSHIP HIM.
So, what Jesus said here won't apply anymore for some inexplicable reason?

John 4:21 “Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

Haven't you seen Anti-Semitism and don't you realize that is has been growing?
Yes, but is that what we were talking about? No. You implied that Amillennialism promotes Anti-Semitism and that is a lie. I don't take kindly to lies being told about what I believe.

I did not say all Anti-Semitism had its roots in Amillennialism.
You implied that Amillennialism promotes Anti-Semitism. Are you trying to backtrack now?

Their obvious enemies are Muslims, and as I pointed out, they would be gathering many Muslim nations against them to ignite Armageddon.
But a seed of hatred against theJews has existed since Christ was crucified. You can't deny this hatred has grown, a grudge, maybe hidden, buried, sometimes subtle, but resurfaces at times.
Has nothing to do with Amillennialism.

The phrase, " They murdered Him", has been around and uttered by many Christians who still carry this hatred.
Have you uttered those words?
No, I have not. But, Peter basically did.

Acts 10:39 “We are witnesses of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a cross, 40 but God raised him from the dead on the third day and caused him to be seen.

He was not talking about all Jews, of course. Just the hypocrites like the Jewish religious leaders who sentenced Him to death.

Ronald David Bruno said:
Do you curse them?
Why would you ask me a ridiculous question like this? Of course I don't.

Ronald said:
Do hateful words about Jews or Israel just flow out of your mouth at times? If not, good.
Of course not. Why would they? These are insulting questions.

Ronald said:
But there are many Christians who believe God has no further plans for the nation of Israel and it's people BECAUSE THEY HAD THEIR CHANCE AND THEY BLEW IT. It's this attitude, a disdain for Jews.
That's on them. Has nothing to do with me and nothing to do with Amillennialism. God hasn't given up on ANYONE.

Ronald said:
The Bible says He does havr future plans to graft them in as we were and He will fulfill these covenenants
What are you talking about? Some Israelites have been grafted in every day for the past almost 2,000 years. Why do you delay that to the future? Jesus died for their sins! What more does God need to do for them? Do you not believe that God has wanted them all to be saved for the past almost 2,000 years?

Your way of thinking is carnal and earthly when it should be spiritual and heavenly. Your doctrine is sexist and completely ridiculous. It's not talking about being virgins sexually. Why would no women be included among a special large group of God's people? How ludicrous.

The problem with your assumption here, is that this is at the Second Coming. Why are you assuming the Seals point to events in the first century?

The 144k are alive today. They are not dead people from thousands of years ago. The disciples were the first century firstfruits of the church. There were only 12. You are changing these 144k into mere symbols. Why? The 12 disciples were literal, not symbols of the entire church. There were way more the 144k OT redeemed, and definitely not a specific amount from each tribe. Being part of the redeemed since Abel has been a personal choice, by faith. At the Second Coming that choice of faith will be removed as the church will be complete.

These 144k are sealed out of Israel even before the sheep are separated from the goats. They don't represent the sheep. They are not even the sheep. They are humans alive today who will work with Jesus as His Second Coming disciples, just like the original 12 disciples. The original 12 were not the entire church. They took the Gospel to the world. Is it that hard that at the Second Coming Jesus uses way more people in His inner circle, because now there are 8 billion on earth, as opposed to only millions in the first century?

Now you have virtually replaced the original 12 disciples with an unessary opinion about these sealed in Revelation 7. We already have the names of those chosen in the first century. Why do some go to great lengths to explain away the obvious? Refusing to accept the literal reading in the context, and just symbolize away the text with opinion can only lead to jumping to wrong conclusions.

There is a final harvest at the Second Coming, and all those currently on earth will be dealt with one on one, because Jesus is coming to introduce Himself as the King of all creation. He is not coming to instantly incinerate every one.

I keep hearing this same argument from you millennialists, but I can't help but notice you, nor other millennialists like you present NO proof from Scripture from that which you allege! Your opinions mean nothing to me! Unless you can prove what you think might be truth, your opinions are without merit.
It's very typical of Premils to only offer opinions without accompanying scriptural support. And that is because they know they are not able to make coherent arguments using scripture.

Your last paragraph...This is the time to hear and obey the gospel but the time runs out at the end of the 70th week. Many of those on earth who listened will get to enter the millennial era. Millennium is literal not some symbolic picture of time.
Who exactly are these people who "get to enter the millennial era"? Are they mortal? If so, that contradicts scripture. Paul very clearly taught that mortal flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 15:50).

We were talking about what we inherit from Jesus when he comes yes?

Matt 25
31 “But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; 33 and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left.

34 “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

41 “Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels;

Things are restored to Eden like condition.:Zek:
Amen. I'd sure hate to think we would inherit a kingdom that still had death and sin occur on it and that wasn't eternal.

Was it ludicrous in the first century that the 12 disciples were all male?

Your accusations seem to focus on the carnal instead of the practical.

Why criticize the written Word and offer up ridiculous excuses to change the Word of God?

I get you are an idealist, but you constantly chide pre-mills in stating their opinions, when all you have as a rebuttal is your own opinions and imaginations.

By the time Matt. 25 happens, the church has already been to heaven and rec'd their rewards, if any. Matt. 25 is judging the survivors of the 70th week, sheep enter the millennium as humanity, goats go to hell. The millennial kingdom is for the living although a minority will reign with him, the church will be going back and forth from heaven to earth and back as God desires. Heaven is our home.

Apparently you don't believe any of the scriptures that say otherwise. There are way too many proofs to provide and I gave you a sample yet you refuse to believe God's word, I'm done. Here's a fact, take it or leave it. "Every" OT prophecy that speaks of "in that day", the day", etc. is referring to the 'day that Messiah reigns on earth"!

Yes, they are mortal and yes flesh and blood can live in the millennial kingdom because that is who it was always meant to be for. Paul is referencing heaven, not Christ's earthly kingdom, that he will rule w/ a rod of iron. If he was ruling the kingdom of God w/ a rod of iron consisting of only believers, I don't think I'd want to be there.

Matt 25 suggests no such thing except for the goats going to hell.

The 70th week saw our atonement for sins committed under the old. It finished a long time ago.

24 “Seventy weeks [of years, or 490 years] have been decreed for your people and for your holy city (Jerusalem),
to finish the transgression,
to make an end of sins,
to make atonement (reconciliation) for wickedness,
to bring in everlasting righteousness (right-standing with God),

to seal up vision and prophecy and prophet,
and to anoint the Most Holy Place.

Heb 9
11 But when Christ appeared as a High Priest of the good things to come [that is, true spiritual worship], He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not a part of this [material] creation. 12 He went once for all into the Holy Place [the Holy of Holies of heaven, into the presence of God], and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, having obtained and secured eternal redemption [that is, the salvation of all who personally believe in Him as Savior]. 13 For if the sprinkling of [ceremonially] defiled persons with the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a [burnt] heifer is sufficient for the cleansing of the body, 14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal [Holy] Spirit willingly offered Himself unblemished [that is, without moral or spiritual imperfection as a sacrifice] to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works and lifeless observances to serve the ever living God?

15 For this reason He is the Mediator and Negotiator of a new covenant [that is, an entirely new agreement uniting God and man], so that those who have been called [by God] may receive [the fulfillment of] the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has taken place [as the payment] which redeems them from the sins committed under the obsolete first covenant. 16 For where there is a will and testament involved, the death of the one who made it must be established, 17 for a will and testament takes effect [only] at death, since it is never in force as long as the one who made it is alive. 18 So even the first covenant was not put in force without [the shedding of] blood. 19 For when every commandment in the Law had been read by Moses to all the people, he took the blood of the calves and goats [which had been sacrificed], together with water and scarlet wool and with a bunch of hyssop, and he sprinkled both the scroll itself and all the people, 20 saying, “This is the blood of the covenant [that seals and ratifies the agreement] which God ordained and commanded [me to deliver to] you.” 21 And in the same way he sprinkled both the tabernacle and all the containers and sacred utensils of worship with the blood. 22 In fact under the Law almost everything is cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness [neither release from sin and its guilt, nor cancellation of the merited punishment].

23 Therefore it was necessary for the [earthly] copies of the heavenly things to be cleansed with these, but the heavenly things themselves required far better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ did not enter into a holy place made with hands, a mere copy of the true one, but [He entered] into heaven itself, now to appear in the very presence of God on our behalf; 25 nor did He [enter into the heavenly sanctuary to] offer Himself again and again, as the high priest enters the Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own. 26 Otherwise, He would have needed to suffer over and over since the foundation of the world; but now once for all at the consummation of the ages He has appeared and been publicly manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. 27 And just as it is appointed and destined for all men to die once and after this [comes certain] judgment, 28 so Christ, having been offered once and once for all to bear [as a burden] the sins of many, will appear a second time [when he returns to earth], not to deal with sin, but to bring salvation to those who are eagerly and confidently waiting for Him.

Thanks for the conversation.
