If God "birthed you" without "touching your mind" that's a new way for me. How did you know it even happened?
He birthed me and relayed it to my mind as his Spirit was indwelling me..another way of putting it..he spoke to my mind through the Spirit....hence scripture I posted above...he testified to my spirit that I am his child....as he was indwelling me...my spirit has been birthed into Christ..my belief 100%

The Holy Spirit is in my spirit and I’m in his...I have been birthed in the Spirit....

It’s not your way though Randy, it’s Gods way..I have posted scripture on it, did you miss it..here it is again.

John 3:8

New International Version

8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”[a

But the Law of Moses was a specific, temporal covenant that expired when Israel rejected their Messiah.
Is this Mormon or JW or Berean, that you are teaching?

As that theology is not related to the NT.

In FACT i can take you the Old City, outside Jerusalem, on Saturday at 4pm and i'll show you 300 raving mad, screaming Jews, wearing Black, who will be telling you that its "SHABBAT", and you are not to be out in a Car.
So, you tell those Jews, that the OT, Moses LAW, is ended.
They believe they are MARRIED to the Law of Moses.

You aren’t understanding my post about being birthed in the Spirit, that is my opinion and belief...you don’t understand me.....hence your reply, I get this a lot....no problems, happy discussions with those you do understand.

Spirit gives birth to spirit....which means?

As you can see, we must be born of water and Spirit...very simple to understand imo.
Nowhere are we told that being "born of the Spirit" excludes the mind! That is *your insertion* into the text.

While it is true that Paul said the "Natural Mind" does not receive the things of the Spirit (1 Cor 2), he is speaking of Man's tendency towards following his native carnality, resisting the Holy Spirit. It does not mean the human mind does not receive spiritual things when it is inclined, by conviction, to do so.

I was, for a short time, a member of a Christian Cult--some would not call it a "cult," however. The cult called by detractors, "The Local Church," emphasized an emptying of the mind in order to "pray read" the Bible. Supposedly, in saying the biblical verses, one clause at a time, the truth would just sort of sink in, "by the Spirit," so that the carnal mind is bypassed and the truth is ingested.

This was a great way for evil to get Christian people to stop "studying to show themselves approved by God." They were being directed not to study, but to open themselves up to outside influences, to suggestions to their mind, in an uncritical way. This opened them up, I'm sure, to all kinds of false notions in the name of false "spirituality."

All religious cults, in some respects, do this. They do not want to be judged, critically, by the truth. They want to be believed apart from critical assessment, apart from true religious conviction. And so, they encourage potential converts to just "open their minds" to religious suggestions, basing their beliefs on spiritual feelings.

They don't realize that demons are spirits and can convey spiritual sensations, like the Holy Spirit, pretending to be Him! They become a kind of a "false Jesus."

I didn’t say it excluded the mind @Randy Kluth please read my posts properly ....I will leave you to your own understanding of what you believe it is to be born again...your belief is certainly not inline with what I believe a born again is, far from it in fact.

No idea what you are talking about here, we are most definitely on different wavelengths that’s for sure....

Are you trying to be rude, brother? Mormonism and JW-ism is Christian cultism. I was raised a Lutheran and became Charismatic and later Assemblies of God Pentecostal. Because of my Lutheran background, I do not accept all Pentecostal teaching uncritically. I do not accept any denominational teaching uncritically. My favorite theologians I do not accept uncritically. That doesn't make me a "Mormon!" ;)

You have to live or die by your own conviction. If I'm of no benefit to you, so be it.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

If you have your sin, then you are not born again, so, do what that 1: John 1:9 verse is telling the unbelievers to do, and confess.

If you are born again, then Jesus has your sin.. 2000 yrs ago on the Cross.......as "God hath made Jesus to be sin for us".... and.... "But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God"., is your status for eternity.

You need to understand that you can't be "in Christ", and have sin.
You can be "one with God" and have sin.
You can be "seated in heavenly places" and have sin".

So, if you are born again, then Jesus has your sin, and 2 Corinthians 5:19... and Romans 4:8... say that God was in Christ not counting your sin against you, and you are blessed to be that one.

READ THE VERSES, Lisbeth, before you come back here with more blind cut and paste.
Thx.

If you are born again, then this means that Christ has your sin, and that is why God does not charge sin to you.

You dont confess what Christ has dealt with, that God does not charge you with, Lizbeth.

Hallelujah, @Behold has turned up...this is the minister I listen to @Randy Kluth ....the Holy Spirit talks to me through him all the time, ..in my opinion and belief Randy.
Follow Jesus--not men, Rita. Good leaders can help. I just don't consider Behold to be a good example, in his condescension and arrogance. But it's your choice. Do what you want.

Not at all.
See, when i read something that is so "out there"...so, disconnected from anything that ive heard, and ive heard A LOT< then i automatically assume that its JW or Mormon, or even Berean, ...........as some of their theology is from another planet.

I have no idea what you're thinking is not "related to the NT." The expiration of the Old Covenant, to be replaced by the New Covenant of Christ is expressly taught in the letter to the Hebrews. And it is in all of Paul's teaching, as well.

The fact Jews continue to practice Judaism does *not* mean that the Old Covenant isn't "old," or that it is still in effect. It expired when Jesus died on the Cross. That's why the veil got torn in half--the Old Covenant died!

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

My Thread is teaching that by being in Christ we are sanctified by Him...

So, "confessing sin to your pew partner, is not going to sanctify you, but if you're lucky they will tell 20 church members, who will tell, 20 more, and by the time you go back next Sunday, even the Pastor's Dog will know what you did.

So, you need to keep your "faults" to yourself, most of the time, or you'll end up being the "gossip"

That's how Christians behave in the real world we live in .
So, you have to use some wisdom before you put your secrets out there for people to use against you.

Think.

You aren’t and I say this in Love....I wish you well on that narrow road Brother, God Bless You.
And I would encourage you to follow Jesus--not "Behold." He is itching for followers, which is the sign of any cult leader. He wants to be up front and noticed, instead of doing what John the Baptist said, "I must decrease, and Jesus must increase."

Follow the Holy Spirit. And He points to Jesus as a revelation *to your mind!* That is the only way you will avoid error. And we are all susceptible to it.

If "Behold" wishes to truly prove himself a good teacher and "spiritual," he should recognize what I'm saying is true, that we are not here to attract people to ourselves, but to model Jesus. That's the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel,

Are you "backsliding Israel"
Are the members here "backsliding Israel"?

Then before you point this Old Testament verse against the New Testament "Body of Christ', maybe you need to think first.
Always Think before you post.
Its a great idea, Lizbeth.

Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

This verse simply means that before you take communion you are to remember that you are become "made righteous", "one with God", and "in Christ"......the "righteousness of God in Christ"...... You are to make certain that you faith is right, that your remember who you have become, as Born again, and do not take the Communion if you are doing it, not recognizing What Christ has done for you, as then you are taking it unworthily,

Also check yourself to make certain you are in the "real faith", especially before you take the Cup and the Bread.

Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.

Well, Lisbeth, as Jesus isn't here today to wash our feet, i guess we'll just have to believe that His Blood, His Cross, and His Death, and the washing of the water of the Word, is going to get us through....is going to get us to Heaven.

I BELIEVE it will, forever., as the "Preaching of the Cross" when revealed as "faith comes by hearing" is going to bring Salvation, every single time... , as "Grace Through Faith".

Randy,

Get in line fella.
See, i keep giving Jesus all the Credit and you keep talking about works and law, and sin, and self.
I get the same from Episkopos, and half a dozen other's here who TROLL my "CROSS Threads", with their LEGALISM.
Im use to it.

Also.....God gave "teachers" to the body of Christ, for the "perfecting of The Saints"

That's how you get "perfected"

See, you "study to show yourself APPROVED To God"...but you get "Perfected" by a TEACHER.

Perfection results in "as many as be Perfect".

This is not to be found as behavior, as behavior, is often emotion based.......... And Christianity is SPIRITUAL, not mental or analytical.
So, when a BELIEVER is perfected, that means their Spirituality is Mature, and their Mind is in alignment with God's perspective of who they have. become "in Christ".

Israel was told to "sanctify themselves," which means that it is our job, now in the NT era, to cooperate with the Holy Spirit, setting ourselves apart from the influences and contamination of the world. We hear God's word to our heart, and we comply--that is "sanctifying ourselves." Confessing our sins to one another is certainly part of that!

Lev 20.7 “‘Consecrate yourselves and be holy, because I am the Lord your God. 8 Keep my decrees and follow them. I am the Lord, who makes you holy."

1 Tim 4.4 For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.

The problem is, brother, that your message is always *YOU.* It's all about how people treat YOU. It's all about YOUR teaching, what YOU'VE done in life, who YOU are--not Jesus.

I'm not at all questioning whether you're smart, or whether you have a teaching gift. The message, however, has to be Jesus--you need to come down a few pegs, in my opinion. You're high on yourself.

Making sly remarks like "get in line fella" is unseemly, and not representative of a spiritual teacher. Really, you're projecting.
