Keep saying that and tap your heels three times and keep repeating: "There's no place like home". Jehovahs witnesses get their marching orders from teh Watchtower. You know it, JW's know it and true followers of Jesus like me know it. so you should really stop pretending like you don't know.
Oh dear....there is a comeuppance coming.......I can feel it in my bones....but who will be on the receiving end I wonder?
Once we get to rehashing the same old stuff, its time to put it all down now, and just let Jesus tell us whose got it right, and who has it all wrong.
There are going to be a lot of disappointed people who think that what you believe to be true, actually is....all of Christendom in fact, give or take a few fringes dwellers, so there is no point in rehashing....Jesus knows who are "doing the will of his Father"....and who are only pretending to. (Matthew 7:21-23)

The "faithful and wise slave" (Matthew 24:45) is not an individual but a composite 'person' made up of the remaining ones of the elect not yet in heaven. These are tasked with "feeding" God's household on earth until the Master arrives. Let's just see who proves to be recognized by Jesus as the one to whom he gave the job....shall we? I'm sure he will not leave us in any doubt. (Matthew 24:46-47)

You have given us your version of the things you have been led to believe, some of which just made me laugh.....and since most of Christendom agrees with you, I would call that the acceptance by the "many", not the hated "few" that Jesus said would be found on the cramped and narrow road to life....(Matthew 7:13-14; Matthew 5:11-12; John 15:18-21) "Like the days of Noah"...and like the first Christians...square pegs in a round hole....not fitting in with the majority at all. (Matthew 24:37-39)

I find your take on the scriptures to be both comical and completely illogical....especially the bit about the soul being given a new body after consciously hanging around in some 'compartment' of who knows where, for thousands of years......I wonder if they have the internet for entertainment? Those going to "hell" will be relieved I think.....at least there will be something to do. :ummm:

I hope you understand that confidence has no part to play in any of this....

And your JW bashing is utterly and pathetically misinformed....but hey, you are entitled to believe whatever you wish...just as I am. It is clear that you have no interest in the truth, just your own POV......we will all 'sink or swim'....but on Jesus' judgment......not yours or mine.

There can only be one truth.

All, after the judgment of Adam, do die. However, all who have died without having faith in Jesus, have been judged ALREADY unto condemnation (eternal death), which is the 2nd death. KJV John 3:18.
The proof of that is Rom. 8:9, Phillippians 4:3 and Rev. 20:15. Absolutely no one is going to get into the KoG/Heaven by performing good works alone.
There are NO second chances!!

I agree! I do not believe in salvation after death.
Well, what about all those who lived and died before Christ came into the world....guess they are all just gonna 'burn in hell' because they were born in the wrong time period and the wrong country....? Doesn't sound fair to me....to just punish them for all eternity for something they cannot help....and no way to redeem themselves.
Just as well Jesus is their redeemer and has their back....you guys certainly don't.

Are you saying you are Jewish by saying "our" Jewish Messiah?
No I am saying that Jesus was Jewish.....he was born and died as a Jew.
All of the scriptures...the entire book, was written by Jews.
Are you saying he wasn't Jewish?
Maybe you should look at history and the teachings of Israel at the time of Jesus. You also forget that the place of the dead was not given to Israel by God until the time of David and Solomon.
Strangely I have studied what the Jews believed at the time of Jesus.....why do you think he called their teachings "leaven"? (Matthew 16:6-12)
I forget nothing....the Jews did not get the idea of an immortal soul that survived death from their scripture......they adopted it from the Greeks.

Genesis 37:35, after his son Joseph had been sold to slave traders, his brothers lied to their father and said he had been attacked and killed by a wild animal....Jacob's response?
"And all his sons and all his daughters kept trying to comfort him, but he kept refusing to take comfort, saying: “I will go down into the Grave [sheol] mourning my son!” And his father continued weeping for him."

Jacob wanted to join his son in death......not hell.

David and Solomon had no belief in an immortal soul either....

Solomon wrote Ecclesiastes and he said...
"for there is an outcome for humans and an outcome for animals; they all have the same outcome. As the one dies, so the other dies; and they all have but one spirit. So man has no superiority over animals, for everything is futile. 20 All are going to the same place. They all come from the dust, and they all are returning to the dust." (Ecclesiastes 3:19-20)

He also wrote....
"For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing at all, nor do they have any more reward, because all memory of them is forgotten. . . . .Whatever your hand finds to do, do with all your might, for there is no work nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom in the Grave, [sheol] where you are going." (Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10)

David wrote...
"For in death there is no mention of you;
In the Grave, [sheol] who will praise you?"

"The dead do not praise Jah;
Nor do any who go down into the silence of death."
(Psalm 6:5; 115:17)

No immortal souls there....

God di dnot reveal every truth from the beginning, but slowly through time kept introducing more and more truths to His covenanted people and then to the Apostles who passed them on to the church.
Yes, which is why, when the foretold apostasy took place, (as Jesus and the apostles said it would) "the church" did not pass on what the apostles taught at all....they drew people off with their own ideas....just as the Pharisees had done with Judaism. (Matthew 15:7-9)

We separated from Christendom, and rejected all her false doctrines (Revelation 18:4-5).......and we continue to receive clarifications all the time. (Prov 4:18) Christendom is still stuck in the mire of apostasy....never coming close to the truth as Jesus taught it....too hung up on doctrines that he never taught....all "the traditions of men".

The big three are accepted by practically all of Christendom's 'denominations'....multiple gods but pretending to be monotheistic....an immortal part of man that goes either to eternal heavenly bliss.....or to eternal torment in hellfire. None of these originate in scripture, but were grafted over ambiguous verses to imply what God's word never mentioned.

Actually, the majority of Christendom does not believe in eternal suffering!
Thus sayeth the faithful and discreet slave about themselves! I love the irone, Jesus speaks a parabvle and it becomes a major doctrine of the Watchtower, but when He speaks the truth, they do all they can to twist and turn it to mean something else.

yes there is a big comeuppance coming
You have given us your version of the things you have been led to believe, some of which just made me laugh.....and since most of Christendom agrees with you, I would call that the acceptance by the "many", not the hated "few" that Jesus said would be found on the cramped and narrow road to life....(Matthew 7:13-14; Matthew 5:11-12; John 15:18-21) "Like the days of Noah"...and like the first Christians...square pegs in a round hole....not fitting in with the majority at all. Maybe you should come out of the Watchtower snake den and look around! bible believing Christians are some of the most hated by Christendom! Even more than they loathe the Watchtower!

Well what you wrote is not what I wrote, so I find your false representation of my words comical as well. Well if you die in you rWatchtower beliefs, you will find out if they are wired or have wi-fi(re)?

Agreed!

But also no mention of the :
1. Death of Jesus
2. The resurrection of Jesus
3. The ascension of Jesus
4. The birth of the church.
5. Jews and Gentiles being one.
6. The return of Jesus.

So are all these not happened because they were not specifically spelled out in psalms and Ecclesiastes etc? I take it you have never heard that God progressively revealed truth until the Apostle JOhn died.

You should get out more! Most of christendom or a plurality reject the big three as you call them.

Well Christianity became Christendom shortly after Constantine I agree. but the church stayed faithful and it can be traced throughout the ages. And we have had the teachings of the Apostles since they were written. It is called the New Testament.

It is that very same book of the Apostles teachings which the Watchtower said and never repented, that if one were to study gods Inspired Word alone, H e would be in darkness within two years, but if He put sown Gods Inspired Word and read just Watchtower material He would be in the light for He would be reading the light of Scripture!

Isn't it funny, in the same article they mentioned that when one reads Gods Word the accept teh Deity of Jesus, the trichotomous nature of man, and eternal torment from the lost.

Can you imagine that? God so loves People that if they read His Word which He said is profitable for Doctrine, reproof and instruction in righteousness so they may be mature, The Watchtower says they will be in darkness.

op: hope for the UNsaved dead?
For the UNsaved (spiritually dead), who physically die, while Rejecting Christ's
Precious (God's OWN) BLOOD For Forgiveness of all sin, there is NO hope =
NONE! What Saith The Scripture?:

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men ONCE to die, but AFTER THIS the Judgment:

For The [living] Body Of Christ = 1Co 3:8-15, But,
For The UNsaved dead = NO hope = NONE!:

"And I saw a Great White Throne, and Him that sat on it, from Whose Face
the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand Before God; and the books were
opened: and Another Book was opened, which is The Nook Of Life: and the
dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books,
according to their works.
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered
up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according
to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is The
Second Death. And whosoever was not found Written in The Book Of Life was
cast into the lake of fire." (Rev 20:11-15) = NO hope = NONE!

Precious friend(s), Today IS 'The DAY Of Salvation!':

Grace, Peace, And JOY In Christ, And In His Word Of Truth, Rightly
Divided

Not only the living will benefit in the Millennium and have an opportunity for the earthly salvation. Paul speaks of "God our Savior, whose will it is that all men should find salvation and come to know the truth." Those who died without this knowledge must therefore be awakened from the dead if they are to get it. All of us have relatives and friends who died without being "saved", in the sense that they did not exercise faith in Jesus as their Savior and gain the heavenly inheritance. From the broader standpoint we realize that most of earth's millions since the creation of man never even heard of Jesus, and would appear to be lost forever, since "Salvation is to be found through him alone; in all the world there is no one else whom God has given who can save us" (Acts 4:12). Many Christians have been taught that all opportunity for attaining eternal life is limited strictly to the present life, which logically implies that the redeeming work of Jesus was a failure, since the vast majority of mankind would then be lost. The Bible does not support this dismal conclusion.

The ransom paid by Jesus guarantees release from Adamic death for every one of the human race. "As in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive." It may seem incredible that the dead will live again, but with God, all things are possible. Jesus said, "Don't be so surprised! Indeed the time is coming when the dead in their graves shall hear the voice of God's son, and shall rise again" (John 5:28,29). The implications of the awakening of the dead are immense, but abundant Bible testimony can be found as to God's plan to restore the human family, and the great adventure is soon to begin.
At death, one's fate is fixed. You are either saved or not! Implying that dead people have a second chance after death removes the urgency of having to believe in this life. The Bible teaches the urgency for salvation, TODAY. "He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” John 3:36
This idea of a second chance after death also removes the power of God to save those whom are on His list during this life - as if He was unable to. "And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment," Hebrews 9:27 One enters directly into that judgment upon death! Purgatory does not exist.
Romans 1:18-25
" For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen."

God's plan and whole objection is reconciliation with Him through Jesus. He desires all to be saved, but all are not saved. He can't force anyone to love Him. He calls all men to Himself, but not all come, only His sheep hear His voice. And to be fair, He spends and ample amount of time, a lifetime to get theirr attention. He has all His ministers, witnesses, spreading the gospel to the ends of the earth, determined to save souls. And we are actually being saved from Hades which the ungodly ubruptly enter upon death. Obviously an unbeliever upon death, being immediately thrust into darkness and torment would change his mind and say, "Okay, okay, I believe now, please get me out of here." No, IT'S TOO LATE! READ LUKE 16. The Rich man did not have a second chance. He was not given a drop of water, nor did anyone go tell his brothers about the horrible place he was in. He had his chance on earth, while alive and he lived it up, selfishly ignoring the beggar, Lazarus, who just begged for crumbs. The dogs had more mercy licking his wounds!

Christ has only saved those who long for his second appearing.
None of those people who died outside of the Lord, longed to see Him again.
And Christ never knew them.

27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, 28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.

Is There Any Hope for the Unsaved Dead?

OP ^

In Context...the OP is a two part question.

1) A living mortal unsaved man IS “Dead” in his Sin.
(Which is to say, he is spiritually separated from God, thus accounted Dead to God.)
Yes...there is HOPE for that man.

2) An unsaved “Bodily Dead” man IS “mortally Dead in his Sin”.
No...there is NO HOPE for that man.

Yes, which is why, when the foretold apostasy took place, (as Jesus and the apostles said it would) "the church" did not pass on what the apostles taught at all....they drew people off with their own ideas....just as the Pharisees had done with Judaism. (Matthew 15:7-9)
I think you might be wrong here..

Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
Therefore. God’s sovereign choice, so far from being a ground for inaction, is the strongest incentive to perseverance in action. Compare the argument (Php_2:12-13), ’work out your own salvation, FOR it is God that worketh in you,’ etc. We cannot explain the theory; but to the sincere the practical acting is plain. ’Privilege first, duty afterward’ (Edmunds).

Stand fast - so as not to be ’shaken or troubled’ (2Th_2:2).
Hold - so as not to let go. Adding nothing, subtracting nothing (Bengel). The Thessalonians had not held fast his oral instructions, but were imposed upon by pretended spirit-revelations, words, and letters, as if from Paul (2Th_2:2), that ’the day of the Lord was instantly imminent.’

Traditions - instructions delivered, whether orally or in writing (2Th_3:6; 1Co_11:2, margin, ’traditions’). The verb is used by Paul, 1Co_11:23; 1Co_15:3. From the three passages in which ’tradition’ has a good sense, Rome has argued for her uninspired traditions, visually overriding, while held as of co-ordinate authority with, God’s Word. She forgets the ten passages (Mat_15:2-3; Mat_15:6; Mar_7:3; Mar_7:5; Mar_7:8-9; Mar_7:13; Gal_1:14; Col_2:8) stigmatizing man’s uninspired traditions.

Paradosis (G3862) is one of the only two nouns in the 2,000 of the Greek Testament which numerically equals 666, the mark of the beast, Rev_13:18.] Tradition is the great corrupter of doctrine, as [ euporia (G2142)] ’wealth’ (the other equivalent of 666) is the corrupter of the Church’s practice.

Not even the apostles’ sayings were all inspired (e.g., Peter’s dissimulation, Gal_2:11-14), but only when they claimed to be so, as in their words afterward embodied in canonical writings.

Oral inspiration was necessary then, until the canon of the written Word should be complete: they proved their inspiration by miracles in support of the new revelation. This revelation, moreover, accorded with the existing Old Testament-an additional test needed besides miracles (cf. Deu_13:1-6; Act_17:11)

When the canon was complete, the infallibility of the living men’s inspired sayings was transferred to the written Word, now the sole unerring guide, interpreted by the Holy Spirit. Nothing has come down to us by ancient and universal tradition except this, the all-sufficiency of Scripture for salvation.

Therefore, by tradition, we are constrained to cast off all tradition not in, or proveable by, Scripture.

Tradition (in the sense human testimony) cannot establish a doctrine, but can authenticate a fact, such as those mentioned. Inspired tradition, in Paul’s sense, is not a supplementary oral tradition completing our written Word, but is the written Word now complete; then, the latter not being complete, the tradition was necessarily in part oral, in part written, and continued so until, the latter being complete before the death of John, the last apostle, the former was no longer needed.

Scripture is the complete and sufficient rule in all that appertains to making "the man of God perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works" (2Ti_3:16-17). It is by leaving God-inspired for human traditions that Rome has become the parent of Antichrist. It is striking that, from this very chapter denouncing Antichrist, she should draw an argument for her "traditions," by which she fosters anti-Christianity.

Because the apostles’ oral word was as trustworthy as their written word, it by no means follows that the oral word of those not apostles is as trustworthy as the written word of those who were apostles or inspired evangelists. No tradition of the apostles, except their written word, can be proved genuine on satisfactory evidence.

We are no more bound to accept the fathers’ interpretations of Scripture, because we accept the Scripture canon on their testimony, than to accept the Jews’ interpretation of the Old Testament because we accept the Old Testament canon on their testimony.
Our letter - as distinguished from the "letter AS from us," (2Th_2:2). He means his first letter to the Thessalonians.

You are misinterpreting and misapplying Scripture. So you should not be using the handle "Berean".

Greetings friend.

The sovereignty of man is the issue here.

Unfortunately, The answer is no.
Whoever receives Jesus the Son of God has life. Whoever rejects Jesus the Son of God does not have life.
1 John 5:11-13
The work of God given to humanity is to believe that He sent Jesus into the world to die for our sins, thus repairing what Adam and Eve had broken.
Sadly for those who reject the pardon that Jesus died on the cross to give will be sent to the place that was actually and only made for the devil and angelic beings who rebelled.
Because human beings are given the sovereign choice to decide what or what not to believe God will respect that choice but do not expect Him to make room in heaven for those who do not want to be there.

Fyi- There would be no White Throne Judgement needed if everyone were automatically saved.

People can only be saved in this life, not the next life.
We receive eternal life when we are believers.
Those deeds done in God, v21, shows the power of God in our current life that brings our salvation. Today is spoken of as the day of salvation, if you hear Him speak.

To come under judgement that Jesus speaks of, refers to the final judgement at the great white throne of God! But believers appear before the judgement seat of Christ and aren't you glad of it!
John 3
18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

John 5 also points to a resurrection of the just and a resurrection of the unjust

Life and Judgment Are Through the Son

24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. 25 Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live. 26 For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, 27 and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man. 28 Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice 29 and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation. 30 I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.

Those deeds as believers we did are done with God, never apart from Him.

Philippians 2
5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it [b]robbery to be equal with God, 7 but [c]made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Light Bearers

12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

14 Do all things without [d]complaining and disputing,[e] 15 that you may become blameless and [f]harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, 16 holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.

Ephesians emphasizes how God is in control and does all things for His good pleasure and will. Even the good works you will do, are prepared by Him ahead of time for you to do. God sees to it that you are sanctified and worthy of your calling to be His own special possession.

John 17:17
Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.

John 17
18 As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.

1 Thessalonians 5:23
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 13:12
Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate.

The unbelieving are DEAD, as in not alive in the Spirit of God, and they perish.

Ephesians 2
And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the [a]course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

The gospel is veiled (hidden) to those who are perishing. whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

God though chose to shine his light on some and only they are His saved people. That light enlightens the whole man, from the inside and outward.

2 Corinthians 4
Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart. 2 But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor [a]handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. 3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. 5 For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake. 6 For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

There would be no White Throne Judgement needed if everyone were automatically saved.
No one is "automatically saved". The ransom only gives individuals the opportunity to be saved. That decision will be made at the end during the "White throne judgment", after everyone is enlightened as to what God did for humanity through the death and resurrection of Jesus.
