No one is "automatically saved". The ransom only gives individuals the opportunity to be saved. That decision will be made at the end during the "White throne judgment", after everyone is enlightened as to what God did for humanity through the death and resurrection of Jesus.

Evidently you forgot about KJV John 3:18 and 1 John 5:12-13. According to those scriptures, Jesus IS NOW the great white throne judgment. If you would notice those words in Rev. 20:12-15, you would specifically agree that whosoever was not found IN the Book of Life, who is Jesus, were cast into the lake of fire. Those words in Rev. 20:12-15 are "double speak".
So much for those, who think that they might enter into the KoG some other way, without the Spirit of Christ. Rom. 8:9.

As for the last generation of people on earth, you can see it also in Rev. 13
[7] And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
[8] And ALL that dwell upon the earth  SHALL worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
