sorry to hear you feeling quite bored. Currently I can only do easy things at home because of a medication I'm still on and after that, if I have nothing else easy enough to do, it gets boring. I'd be happy with a friend I get along with and like but it's not easy to find since I've had long-term mental health issues and avoided people. I don't go out by myself because I'm not 100% that something bad won't happen to me. I'm only about 99%, but I love to walk and kind of want to play leisure badminton but I've got no one to play with and I also find going to the gym with those machines quite boring so I can relate to you feeling bored. It's really not a nice feeling. I hope that God will eventually fill in this gap for us. :)

You want to try being in the U.K. ………..most are on line while I am asleep and then when I wake up everyone is thinking of Settling down for the night !!!!!
Good time for me is late afternoon - then everyone is awake, but much depends on the demands of their day.

I know what you mean about the debaters, and often as not it’s the same old same old subjects - the ordinary posts seem to get missed because the debaters are not really interested - and the prayer forum, well that’s ignored by many as well x

This is exactly what I am struggling to find ... fellowship. This is the umpteenth site I have tried and all I seem to find, in just about every forum, is the same format and same types of debates about topics that, as far as my heart tells me, should have no bearing on one's faith and only serves to distract from it tbh. My biggest wish on these sites is to be able to 'Mute' a topic, so it doesn't constantly get bumped up in the feed and drown out all the other topics.

I'm completely in agreement, but you can 'mute' people by using the 'ignore' option. It helps to cut out a lot of the unwanted stuff.

Yes I've noticed. We still have some people that will engage in friendly conversation though which is nice.

Hello Tery, and welcome to CyB. I hope you will find something good about our site. THere are a good handful of Christians here who are beautiful souls. This is why I am on here also, fellowship! It is so very hard to come by these days.
And, as Pearl said, we do have an ignore feature.
Be abundantly blessed, we are still human so, I don't think it will be a whole lot different than any other site...we must love the "un-lovable" just as Jesus loves us...I know, not an easy thing to do sometimes but, it's a growth thing I think.
I hope you will find like minded people for fellowship.

It gets kind of boring out here in the West, when all you Easterners get tired and sign off, and we still have three hours of sunshine out here.
I'm in the Midwest, but I'm usually up late browsing these forums. Some subjects interest me, others don't. If I'm active, shoot me a message.

I know what you mean. Late nights and I'll bounce in at 2a.m our time and no one is about.

It starts me to thinking like one would about department stores. Oh, they're closed for the night. Chkl:

Picking the debates is useful Rita, in fact, I think critical.
...and prayer forums.......hmmmmm, I'm wary of telling God what he already knows.

But sometimes the person requesting prayer needs to be encouraged by people. God certainly already knows the request, but people, even believers, sometimes just want to "hear" a human voice, because they are not [or believe they are not] hearing from God.

They have fellowship and late night threads on this forum. Am I missing something?

Granted I believe in the therapeutic benefits of complaining or whining. ;)

I am not kidding….LOL….listen to elevator conversations…..LOL

Sometimes people just need to have others to lend them a kind ear.

I haven't been here for long but it does feel like things have slowed down.
Troll onslaughts can cause that. POE'S too. In fact it's their intent.

Years ago there was an atheist blog who boasted his instructions for trolling Christian forums were so effective that he listed those Christian forums trolls had targeted, using his guidelines including how to follow POE'S law as a fake Christian on a Christian forum, that closed due to inactivity due to members leaving to avoid those evils.

They're here too . Obviously.
.

I've wondered about that. Sometimes it does seem that way!

Much love!
