Was this God's plan for humankind? (condemnation)You can believe in God while not knowing anything about Him, and, just as the demons, remaining condemned.
You do realize, right, that you can believe in God and not be born again? Not have eternal life? Remain condemned? Do we at least agree on that? Was this God's plan for humankind? (condemnation)
Not true. Why are Bible scholars leaving Christianity?
They have not known the one whom he has sent!
Bible scholars are leaving Christianity in droves. Why?
Not because they don't understand the Bible, obviously. (they're Bible scholars)
- Do you have to be Christian to believe in God?
- Do you have to agree with the institutional church's positions to believe in God?
Exactly. Professing. But without eternal life. Not true.
These were professing Christians. Scholars, professors, missionaries...
That's interesting. How does that work? Thanks. This is why in the end, God will hold each one of us personally and individually to search out and discover the answer to that question for ourselves.
I think this is problematic if we assume it has to do with the afterlife.Matthew 7:13-14, "13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."
Not true.

Is God playing a high-stakes game of hide-and-seek with our souls?
Making sport of our eternal destiny? It says, "only a few find it."
"Oh, too bad, you were so close. Better luck next time. Oh wait,
there won't be a next time. Ha, ha, ha..." (sinister laugh)

Ascribing to the 'right thing' does not qualify as knowing Jesus. Not true.

So... you don't have to be a Christian to believe in God. You agree.
What do Muslims, Hindus and Buddhists say about the god we believe in?Talk to people about what they believe. Many will say they don't believe in the God of Christianity, but they believe, they are 'spiritual' and think there is some sort of god they can manipulate.
Talk to a muslim or a hindu they believe in ';God' talk to an atheist they say they don't believe in God, but to not believe one has to believe there what they are not believing in!
My, my.I believe that the more the restrainer releases the restraints the more people are going to fall away from the faith and go down dark paths. Only God can truly know whether or not they were ever of him.
Those are good points, thanks. Still...So just who decides which persons inherit the title of "Bible scholar"? The elites of the institutions of "Christian higher learning ... who cannot even agree across the board concerning the doctrine of salvation. Those who graduate with high honors from one institution are deemed heretics from the other "Christian institution of higher learning" down the street from them... just saying.
That falling away took place 1500 years ago, and the man of sin was revealed, and Christians testified to that for 1000 years... Until the last 50 years or so.2 Thessalonians 2:1-3
2 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of [a]Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of [b]sin is revealed, the son of perdition,
They just aren't happy with their relationship with God, perhaps.
