Are you done now? It was the peoples view of that age. All one has to do is read that ancient book most dont though. Its all about being humble before God in faith and to love others.
That is true but are you able to recognise when a particular teaching is false and is wrapped within some godly truths to hide its falseness?
Do you really need me to tell you if this simple statement was spoke by Christ?
We all need to be able to discern whether or not what we are told is from God or Not.

I've been on this site since 2009, using Scripture to advise of Christian doctrine, rebuke or reprove false doctrine, correct doctrinal error, and instruct in righteous, and No, I'm not done yet.
John saw many things in the vision he was given on the island of Patmos. These things are what he wrote about in the Book of Revelation. A lot of these things have not happened yet, including people not being able to buy or sell without having the Mark of the Beast in their forehead or right hand, and including the casting of the Beast, False Prophet, and later Satan himself, into the Lake of Fire. John saw these things in his vision, but they are yet to take place.

Jesus stated, that his kingdom was not of this world. It is established today, people enter into it by faith in God and believing on the one whom God had sent. They are given the ability to have access and speak to the Father who adopts them into the heavenly family, becoming children of God.
It's something that I believe by faith. Trusting that Yeshua, was not joking, nor was the Apostles joking around to those people in that day in which they continually call them to be patient and wait, until the great and dreadful day of the Lord, and Yeshua would come and take the bride up in that day and establish the kingdom in heaven, and putting away all the material religion, spiritual death, sheol (hades), the false prophet, the beast, even Satan and his demons, it is a subjective belief by looking at just what the bible entails, relying also on history, which totally a person choice to say that I am crazy and I am wrong, will respectfully say maybe you are right.
I just believe what Jesus said, his kingdom is not of this world. Do I believe that Jesus Christ has established the kingdom that will never stop increasing? Yes, and people enter into that kingdom by faith.
Are you the kind of person who believes he can not be wrong because a "spirit" let him know what he believes?
It's very important for one to stay dedicated to truth, and not just believe everything that comes along from other people, as the masses continue and share what has been handed to them, and is taught to them by and through the schooling system, and by whatever one may teach at which ever church they might be part of, and that is why the importance to study, and continue to have faith and seek out God. While loving Yahava, and loving others as you go about life.

What kind of personality profile would make one desire to accept being a false prophet?

I had said nothing of anything of the sort. All that has been stated is by faith, I believe Yeshua, who promised to come back, quickly and things with-in that generation who would see the kingdom of God come before they died, seems to me like a literal event which was going to come upon the people of that time, called the great and dreadful day of the LORD.
I do not see myself better, than anyone else, told you plainly outloud, and clearly, I believe Yeshua, was not playing around, nor was the Apostles playing around with the peoples minds and hearts of his coming back.
I do not submit to the personal view of "Jesus still has yet to come back," the miracle about this, is you do not have to love me just cause I see things differently than you, but a choice to love you, and a choice you have to make to love me, is a wild one based on faith. I love you even if you believe I am crazy or that I needed to be corrected just cause I already believe and trust that Yeshua came back already, passed on faith and what has been stated in Revelation, and in the records of Christ.
I find there is no need to argue with believers, who still believe that Jesus Christ has not yet come. I love people, who believe that Jesus Christ is their Lord and saviour, and love those who say they want nothing to do with him, as say that He is always calling and people have to respond. Cause in the following of Yeshua, we have to worship God in spirit and truth. When one goes and reads the gospels, and the letters, all the Apostolic record as a whole. It's very hard to argue with the context of time, and the people then, and the circumstances of the Jewish nations putting the Son of God to death, that God would not carry out justice upon them and put them in ruin for their disobedience even while given time to repent, and those who did not suffered the wrath of God while those who were watching faithfully seen him arrive, and where taken from this life unto the next one. That is what I believe personally, subjectively, from reading the narrative of the bible itself. This is why it is so important to study and get these questions one may have answered, instead of wondering, why hasn't Jesus come back yet as most people still do today.
