The reason for the question is that during those times the only travel was #1 by foot and #2 by donkey and/or beast of burden

Since this form of travel was very slow and time consuming, the edict for the census would of been during spring/summer/fall and NOT during winter.
My rule of thumb is always: When there is a discrepancy in minor details between known history and the Bible, the wood among the trees is screaming out loud that the historic background to the biblical account is showing the biblical account to be authentic, and archeologists will eventually knock sense into the historian produced records of Roman rulers and Judean kings. They've had their records torpedoed many times by archeology when archeology confirms the biblical account.

You just showed how your theology twists the meaning of scripture and Christ's theology, and you did it all in a few posts in one thread. Well done.

Jesus is telling you in that short section of passage that the bride of Christ are those who believe His words, and who live by them. Not those who twist His words so badly that they believe they keep actually eating His actual flesh after they crucify Him over and over.
who's twisting?!

We do NOT crucify Jesus over and over. That's such a blatent falsehood!

We offer the Lamb who ONCE was slain and now lives forever..

the Bread of Life and the Chalice of Salvation..

And we eat and drink Him as He told us too... This is demonstrably the practice of the Church for 2000 years.

Live by His words?

Absolutely:

Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.

Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me.

I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you.

Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day.

For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink.

Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.
You do realize that when Jesus said those things he was still alive.....so the bread and wine that they all shared at that last Passover, was not Christ's literal flesh and blood. To consume any kind of blood was a capital offense in Israel. Would Christ tell his disciples to break God's law?
He would NEVER do that.

Then many of his disciples who were listening said, "This saying is hard; who can accept it?"

Are you now a judge of the Law that you would accuse the Lawgiver of not being able to share His Blood with whomever He chooses? (the Life is in the Blood)

But there are some of you who do not believe." Jesus knew from the beginning the ones who would not believe and the one who would betray him.

And he said, "For this reason I have told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by my Father."

As a result of this, many (of) his disciples returned to their former way of life and no longer accompanied him.

CORRECT

i never trust "trusted sources" as most are trying to circumvent the Truth rather then discover it.

Yep, Did you read malachi 1:11 ?

Pax et Bonum
Malachi 1:11
For from the rising of the sun, even to its going down,
My name shall be great among the Gentiles;
In every place incense shall be offered to My name,
And a pure offering;
For My name shall be great among the nations,”
Says the Lord of hosts.

There is no alter here on earth that Christ established for us to worship at.

Anyone who claims that there is are false apostles.

Good Afternoon Brother,

100% GUARANTEED that JESUS was not born on December 25th

This is not about "thou shall not" but rather knowing the Truth from the Word.

Secondly, it is the RCC establishment of 'Christmas' that has made it "legalistic" against those who know the 'root'.

Christmas is on the same level as 'pre-trib' rapture = it is a man-made holiday established by Babylon = which the world fully accepts.

Eternal Food for Free Thinking = Revelation 11:7-10
When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves.
And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.
I know thousands of Catholics, none of them see worshipping Jesus as being legalistic!!!!!

John 6
"For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink."

Blood was used in rites depicted in the Old Testament. Sprinkled on ritual objects and even people.
Exodus 24:8, 29:21,Leviticus 4:6, and Numbers 19:4, as examples.

Also, in the New Testament and John 6:53 "53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. 57 Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.” 59 He said this while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum."

How do we not see the effort by some in just this thread to call the Bible a work of fiction? And Jesus a liar?

Hello my brother, The way you add two seemingly unrelated things in the same post is intriguing brother.

The two witnesses are going to be concerned about the fruit of the Spirit among the saints (which is truly lacking) and the fight for the gospel against the beast.

Yeah, they'll probably also fight against false Christianity and the corrupted gospel. I'm not sure how important 'Christian' holidays ('holy' days) will be to them.

They may even be among us already. The way things are going, I see the beginning of the rise of the beast - which for a long time I've believed to be an Islamic caliphate consisting of Daniel's lion, bear & leopard kingdoms rising from the abyss. The forces of darkness have embarked on the destruction of the state of Israel. Western nations have allowed millions of their soldiers into the West - the Trojan horse I always knew it was. Look at the 'protests' and the slogans they chant. Now it's against 'the Saturday people'. Next it will be 'the Sunday people'. There is a massive war looming.
Are you standing upside down down there freind??? 1697848329194.png

It's ignorant people like YOU who believe that we can ONLY do things by Scriptural mandate.

Did God tell you that you should eat spaghetti? Doesn't that make it "pagan"??
Should you stay away from it, then?

Here's a challenge for you, Einstein:
Show me ONE example of God condemning His people in Scripture for choosing to celebrate HIM.

Take your time . . .

Is outstanding friend, brother.
