Yes we could say Paul said we are saved by grace.. and those saved will do good works.

James is saying if you claim to have faith, but do not have the works Paul said those saved by Grace would have, Your faith is dead. Which is why you have no works

Every word works good to the soul of the hearer and the doer of the Word .
Every reminder works to the good of the church . All reminders help to stir the church up to remembrance .

As for John 6:38-40, you missed the context AGAIN.

Paul also describes this sacramental meal and how Jesus is substantially present in the bread and wine (1 Cor, 11:23–25).

The Hebrew meaning of Bethlehem means, “House of Btraf.”
The Arabic word means, “House of Meat.”

Jesus, the Bread of Life was born in the “House of Bread/Meat” and was laid in a feeding trough.

I think it unfair to early Christians,followers of the way of Immanuel,to imply there was no "church" before the RCC.

There was. And it was not the RCC that initiated the ecclestical practice in year 1.


Early followers of Christ met in homes,in the outdoors when possible given the faith was outlawed for centuries due to Roman law and its prosecution.
It would therefore be impossible for the RCC to have existed in 34A.D due to its namesake, Roman, law forbidding such a thing.

Furthermore, God forbids idolatry, necromancy,etc...All that the RCC upholds.
