We are never too old to learn brother as long as we are not playing fast and loose with Scriptures. I learn a lot from Utley-a Baptist Pastor from Texas and love exegetical and hermeneutical studies.Amen! Reading a commentary or other book by a man might be no different than reading a post by another person on this forum. Can we not ever listen what someone else has to say? Of course we can. Sometimes we may learn something important by doing that.
Love your soul dear brother @amadeus and shalom to you and precious family.
May God help us to rightly cutting straight His word and study, daily.
2Ti 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
2Ti 2:16 But avoid irreverent babble, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness.
Act 17:11 Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.
Act 17:12 Many of them therefore believed, with not a few Greek women of high standing as well as men.
I'm really glad to see you are still here Sir. You are my elder in our Lord Jesus Christ, sealed with the Holy Spirit.
Your brother in Christ.
Johann.
