Critical thinking and education is linked to loss of faith

If we believe in God and we do then there is no way to discount critical thinking or lateral thinking because whether we like it or not, everything is spiritutal.

Worldly critical thinking usually only deals with so called fact and information whereas lateral thinking allows us to easily apply personal experience to perhaps go above normal logic. Lateral thinking may say, unseen forces are real on this planet. Worldly critical thinking says no way.

So the tie breaker is our very own ears and eyes. Our experience. SO at that point (to me) it is ok to apply critical thinking in a spiritual way to the idea brought about by the lateral thinking. I have seen with my own eyes, some pretty spooky stuff happen on this planet!

So it has become fact to me and I wind up asking myself if this is facts, then other spiritual facts may also be true. In fact (sic!) what if it's all true? because if some of it is true then all of it is true.

So we need them both. Critical thinking and lateral thinking.

They dont teach critical thinking to the kids anymore. It's not like a critical spirit! More like an ability to reason and question and test previously held beliefs and evaluate and reflect and examine, reason to the new belief. To recognize the ambiguity of previously held beliefs to the new (theory) put forth. Then taking into account our personal experience which usually tips it one way or the other we form new judgments or hold on to old ones as the case may be.

What's so hard about that? lol. Well simple, the day the was supposed to teach critical thinking they cancelled that and watched a movie about choosing which gender you could be! So our kids are a bunch of dummies! That's why you can speak facts to them and they dont get it! Well, no it depends on how you feel what gender you are, LOL! That's like as far away from the truth as one can get!

It explains why we were nut jobs to our parents and why are our kids are nut jobs to us! Each generation gets dumber and less able to think for themselves.

Consider if you see an article titled," Five Ways to Pray More Effectively", you might think that's a nice Christian article. But, when I read it, I know it'll just make me want to puke. I think that the reason why so many Christians end up absconding their faith as they learn more about science and history is because the specific niche of Christianity they were raised up in. But many deconstruct from a young earth creationism and an angry god and reconstructs into a healthier pro science faith.

For the vast majority of people who abandon Young Earth Creationism, that departure follows their departer from the faith, not the other way around. Besides, the Big Bang isn't pro-science. It's just an atheistic can't-think-of-anything-better story.

I see you have had some major negative experiences in your own faith, in God or even other people and even self...

Again, the audience of this kind of majority called Christianity is not by cup of tea. They are not authentic. And I ignore these types of media sourced by them all together. Why should I deal with things like the article you presented from lay people or pastors to show me how to pray for example.

If the Spirit of God does not guide my actions and my inner thoughts especially to communication with God, then listening to other people will just lead me astray in my genuine faith in the Creator..

Generally, the more religious one is, the less educated they are. Those who happen to be both educated and religious such as theologians, are largely disingenuous and intellectually dishonest-victims of cognitive dissonance and mental gymnastics.

Christianity wins over everything, including Atheism, in a free society. Even among intellectuals. But, we don't live in a free society.

The correlation between Atheism and education isn't a result of education, per se. Christianity is banned in schools. You can't teach about the Creation without giving credit to the Creator without teaching a species of Atheism. On top of that, there are many militant, anti-Christian agendas at work in schools. The longer you're exposed to this, the more it effects your thinking. The more conflicted you are with this, the less likely you're going to continue getting an education.

Many occupations of the highly educated politically forbid Christian thinking, starting with those school teachers and professors. So, conformity to Atheism is valuable for career protection.

If you want to see real cognitive dissonance and mental gymnastics, watch an Atheism try to refute pro-God arguments. Take Pascal's Wager: An Atheist might propose that God might want to punish people who believe in him. Really, so the Atheist wants me to refute something he doesn't believe?

There it is right there. You see, if one absolutely saturates themself in the word of God and prayer, an absurd amount of time, you get saturated thru and thru, you have so much of the word of God God in you and flowing into you that it's what you think about and what you wind up meditating on to the point that it fills up your heart and writes it in there and all of the iniquity that is in your heart gets purged out and the cup of your heart overflows with the word of God and displaces the iniquity....and a wonderful thing happens....(Romans 12:2). And you get a renewing of your mind and thereby transformed into a Warrior for the Lord Jesus! A, super-Jesus Freak if you will!

And the Lord approaches you (in spirit) and says this is what you must do...and you will hear it. You develop a relationship with the Lord. And I guess you could say that, you get a Spiritual Google! You have begun to be sensitive to the awareness of the presence of God and you do hear His still small voice inside of you. You can speak to the Lord inside your head! It's like wearing an earpiece and you're getting instructions and warnings from HQ. You get so close to the Lord that He knows you can hear Him so He warns you when you walk into a bad circumstance and you don't have a clue yet! He says hey, watch out for that girl, (LOL) or that guy da da da. v16 says we have the mind of Christ. I can attest to this being the truth. (Ask me how I know, lol! Whoa. It's a very long story!)

Spiritual Google. Ma's Google wont tap you on the shoulder and say, hey get rid of that girl because she is no good for you....!!! Truth!

Those people who use man's Google too much never really learn on their own and have a hard time sorting it out and get confused (v14). It's all there and it works as fast as intuition does, or a conversation. Cultivate Relationship thru a saturation of your mind and heart with the word of God. It's hard not to sometimes. But the last one I dated tried to play me, and she was 60 years old! I thought older ladies didn't bring drama but I guess I was wrong!

There was a couple times I asked the Lord to protect my eyes when I go to the grocery story. That worked great.
