The only requirement is "to be born again".
All the other requirements (some over miles long) are human made.
(The thief on the cross is a prime example).

And that leads to people continuing in sin because they, like you, do not accept the full Gospel

The New Testament is very clear as in those that walk after the flesh disqualify themselves from salvation

But you eternal security people claim one can live in sin and still be saved causing many to stumble. Really sad.

Now we know angels are real, but surely an over emphasis on them could be a bit dangerous right?

Yep as is talking to the dead like the catholics do.

Which is something that we cannot do for ourselves.

So you think that man has no part in accepting what Jesus did for us and God decides who gets saved and He decided that all others were assigned to hell even before they were born? That false cavinism leaning junk?

correction - some catholics are saved because they believe it is the Death a& Resurrection of the LORD Jesus Christ that saves them

most catholics place their trust for salvation in the roman catholic church and it's teachings = which can NEVER save a single soul
Well I said many for many are! How many is many? I do not know, that is up to the Lord and not me pretending to take a census of saved Catholics.

I have shared my thoughts on the Catholic church...

I think the main two figures of a good worship service...

Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps. - Numbers 10:2

The two trumpets today...

1. Worship - The worship leader - A time in praise
2. Word - The senior pastor - A time in the word

If any church... Including Catholic... Has a good time in the time of worship and in the word... Well that is a good church. But... If there are any red flags... Especially with the senior pastor... I would be concerned. In any church. If you have not a good church foundation, especially in a good senior pastor... I would stay away from the church. Of any denomination.

Well, i agree with you that only God knows the hearts.

Many many catholics do not know that only the LORD Jesus Christ can Save them.

This is why they place their trust in Mary & rosary beads, the Pope, the Vatican, holy eucharist and RCC priests etc etc...

Mary is the Mother of GOD no less - how can she fail us.........surely she can tell her son jesus to do good for us = yes or no?

Please pray on this, since your assessment of the "two trumpets today" may not be exactly as you suggest.
But it is close.

Clue: The sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets; and these shall be to you as an ordinance forever throughout your generations.

Shalom

By posting the above as answer to my comment that one needs to be "born again" in order to receive salvation, it is clear that you don't understand what "true born again" means.

You guys all realise do you not that God describes His church with 2 principle definers in revelation. Here are they who keep the commandments of God and have the faith and testimony of Jesus...and the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy. Revelation 12:17; 14:12; 19:10.

Would it be too bold to suggest that any church that didn't teach the keeping of God's commandments was not His church, and was considered by heaven as being the least?

This is one reason why. My goodness they are deceived and lost! There is ZERO chance that God's humble and faithful servant would EVER say such a thing. These apparitions are demonic and this is coming from a 50-year Catholic that once thought that the "Lady of Fatima" stuff was great. That was before I picked up a Bible. View attachment 62742

The following is what the Blessed Virgin Mary actually said on May 13th, 1917:

The First Apparition occurred just eight days after the entreaty of Pope Benedict XV that the Mother of God intercede for the end of WW I. Our Lady came to the Cova da Iria, just outside the little village of Fatima, Portugal, and appeared on top of a small holm-oak to three little children: Lucia, Jacinta, and Francesco.

The First Apparition, May 13

Significantly in this first encounter the Blessed Virgin Mary taught the children about the gravity of sin which merits temporal punishment, the reality of Grace by which we are given the vision of God, and the efficacy of the daily recitation of the Rosary to bring about world peace. She also promised to take each of them to Heaven.

Our Lady's question to the three children is also significant for those who wish to enter into the Admirable Alliance of Hearts like them: "Are you willing to offer yourselves to God and bear all the suffering He wills to send you, as an act of reparation for the sins by which He is offended, and of supplication for the conversion of sinners?"

At the vision of God
the three children fell to the ground and prayed the prayer that had been taught to them by the Angel of Peace: "O Most Holy Trinity, I adore You! My God, my God, I love You in the Most Blessed Sacrament!"

And, it wasn't on May 13th, but rather June 13th and July 13th, 1917, when the Blessed Virgin Mary spoke the following about Her Immaculate Heart:

The Second Apparition, June 13

The second encounter took place on the Feast of St. Anthony of Padua. Our Lady asked the children to pray the Rosary daily. She promised to take Jacinta and Francesco to heaven soon. To Lucia, She gave the mission of remaining in the world to establish devotion to Her Immaculate Heart. She promised Lucia: "My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and the way that will lead you to God."

On that occasion, our Lady gave the children another vision of God and revealed to the Her Immaculate Heart, surrounded by thorns, outraged by the sins of humanity, and seeking reparation for them.

The Third Apparition, July 13

This third encounter took place just three days before the Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. Now Our Lady asked the children to pray the Rosary in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary, and said that only She could bring an end to the war. She promised to work a miracle to lead all to belief in Her appearances at Fatima and to confirm Her requests. To those who asked for bodily cures or conversions of loved ones, She promised that they would receive these graces if they prayed the Rosary. Then She said to the children: "Sacrifice yourselves for sinners, and say many times, especially whenever you make some sacrifice: O Jesus, it is for love of You, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary."

Then Our Lady opened Her hands, as during the previous apparitions, and the light that was God streamed forth. In this light they were given, on this occasion, a vision of Hell so horrible and gruesome that the children shrieked aloud with fear. After showing them Hell Our Lady said to the children: "You have seen Hell where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to My Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace. The war is going to end; if people do not cease offending God, a worse one will break out during the pontificate of Pius XI. When you see a night illumined by an unknown light, know that this is the great sign given you by God that He is about to punish the world for its crimes, by means of war, famine, and persecutions of the Church and of the Holy Father. "To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to My Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of Reparation on the First Saturdays. If My requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated. In the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to Me, and she will be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world. In Portugal the dogma of the Faith will always be preserved . . . " "When you pray the Rosary, say after each mystery: ‘O my Jesus, forgive us, save us from the fire of Hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those who are most in need.’"

It wasn't mary that said that, it was a demon spirit masquerading as mary. It was preaching another gospel.

Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

There is an unerring way to find out whether a prodigy—something extraordinary or inexplicable—comes from God or from a demon. And it is what a soul feels. If the extraordinary event comes from God, it infuses peace into the soul, peace and solemn joy. If it comes from the demon spirit, it brings about perturbation and sorrow. And peace and joy come also from the words of God, whereas perturbation and sorrow come from those of a demon, be it a demon spirit or a demon man. And also the closeness of God grants peace and joy whereas the closeness of wicked spirits or men bring about perturbation and sorrow. (PV4)
I am afraid you do not understand spiritual things. The "feelings" you speak of, are rooted in the soul and can be deceptive. Mormons use the same philosophy with their "burning in the bosom" witness. It just a soulish manifestation of emotion. What the Word of God does, is DIVIDE the soul from the spirit so discernment can take place.

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

A true witness is one that is rooted in our spirit. It bears witness with God's Spirit as the what the truth is.

Ro 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit(not our soul), that we are the children of God: (this is NOT a feeling)

Conclusion? Do NOT go by your feelings.

Nah. The way to know the truth from bologna is to stick to the scriptures. Failing to do so renders one susceptible to endless lies. Your problem and weakness is that you accept the words of men over the word of God. You and I have no common foundation as mine is the word of God while yours is the word of falable men.

So I think we can reach the conclusion here that true Catholics are indeed Christian and true protestant Christians are indeed also Christians.

1. We all worship the same God, the Lord Jesus almighty

2. We all believe Jesus was sent to earth so that we may have eternal life, we all believe He died on the Cross and cleansed us of our sins by His grace through His blood.

3. We all believe Jesus resurrected on the 3rd day. We all believe God is alive, and He is risen!

4. We all believe He ascended up to Heaven weeks after His resurrection and sent His Holy Spirit to live within us and help us.

Since we agree on the key points, we too can classify true Catholics as Christians and classify true Christians from other denominations as Christians.

You see it's not about the traditions of men, it's not about what we do differently, it's about Jesus, the common link between true Christians, both Catholic and Protestant.

Oh yeah, and we all believe the same one God created the world. And that Jesus is coming back.

You are disingenuous. You hide from questions.

You asked me if Jesus's Mother, Mary, would tell people to serve Her, but without specifying in what way(s), so I asked you to be more specific, because I'm not a mind reader.

Am I to understand that you deny prodigies—something extraordinary or inexplicable—that come from God, as well as the closeness of God, infuse peace into the soul, peace and solemn joy, and that prodigies that come from demons, be it demon spirits or demon men, as well as the closeness of them, bring about perturbation and sorrow?
I am saying that feelings can be deceptive. Conclusion? Do NOT go by your feelings.

You left out the most important thing. What must one do and/or believe to be saved? What does the Bible teach and what does the Catholic Church teach? And if the Catholic Church teaches something different than what Jesus told us, then are they truly followers of Christ, aka "Christians"?
