He didn't fulfill the messianic prophecies, and his claim that he was God leads the millions into idolatry, because worshiping a human being is idol worship.

Curious, do you believe that God has appointed a time of revelation for Israel and also a time of revelation for the gentiles? And if so, what do you think, would the message of revelation be exactly the same, or somewhat different?

“I have always felt that one of the obstacles to the Jews at the time accepting Jesus was that he was a bachelor. Uh, Jews have no figures of heroic bachelors.“

Its the religious Jews who have issues with Jesus......not the run of the mill secular Jew who makes up most of the Jewish population.
AS these are like anyone else..they are just sinners enjoying it and are not interested in eternal things.

So, regarding the religious Jews........the reason they wont accept Christ.......has a lot to do with the fact that they feel that they are married to Moses's Law........and to leave that and Join Christ is in their mind...... "adultery".

I agree. Prager is a religious Jew. He gives failure to marry as another reason why unbelieving religious Jews reject Jesus as the Messiah promised by their God.

Has anyone here had the experience of someone telling you that you are the reason that he or she has rejected Jesus? (I’m counseling someone who is telling me that he has.)

Not me but counseled others. Heck, I've even accused others of them being the reason I reject Christ. My Pastor spoke about being a witness. IF you are going to be a witness for Christ, be a good witness.

Truth is, some people are not good witnesses and they have to have the humility to grow in their walk with Christ. Humility and forgiveness of their own short comings.

I saw a meme that read, "God wants Spiritual Fruit, not religious nuts." How has this guy not been a good witness for Christ?

There are always reasons for why people reject Jesus. There is no good reason to reject Jesus.

“The rejection of Jesus is the highest crime against the great King.” - C.H. Spurgeon

It won’t incur the death penalty. All are subject to that. Recovery is assured.

It will incur the second death penalty. There is no recovery from that.

Those who follow Jesus must do what they can can to help those who are lost find the way to the life of the age to come.

How can anyone blame Yeshua for unfulfilled prophecies? If they had accepted the Messiah, everything would have been accomplished and there will be no trinity or other nonsense.

I appreciate your candidness, Matthias. We need more of that these days. My next question is, why do so many believe it is true?

There are many reasons why people believe it is true. The biggest reason, I think, is because it is connected with the gospel of the kingdom and the devil doesn’t want people to hear and believe the gospel. Going to heaven when we die isn’t the destiny of man. As one of my brothers in the faith said before he died, it’s all about the land.

I'm not sure what you're asking. Can you elaborate, please?

The purpose of this thread is to discover why people reject Jesus. Once I learn why someone rejects Jesus, then I know where and how to focus my time and attention with that person. Meeting people where they are and addressing obstacles in order to steer them to the savior whom God has raised up and sent to save man, reconciling man to himself.

Going to heaven to be with God isn't the goal? Then what is?

I rejected Jesus because I don't believe he can save me from death. I think I've lived a fairly decent life, such that I wouldn't buckle while being judged. Although the thought of eternal punishment is obviously unpleasant.

Going to heaven to be with God isn't the goal?

No, that isn’t the goal.

Then what is?

To get back to the Garden of Eden. God is running a rescue, recovery and restoration operation. When you have some time and interest, read Genesis chapters 1 and 2. Pause there and think about the condition of man before the trouble started. That is God’s intention for man from the beginning. His intention won’t be thwarted.

I rejected Jesus because I don't believe he can save me from death.

And why is that?

I think I've lived a fairly decent life, such that I wouldn't buckle while being judged.

I read a story once that was written either by a prison guard or a prison warden. I’m not certain about that detail, it was so long ago. The one big thing that I remember from the story is that he said everyone buckles when it’s time for the death sentence to be carried out.

Although the thought of eternal punishment is obviously unpleasant.

God isn’t a sadist. It isn’t in keeping with his character to endlessly torture the wicked.

What are you going to do about your sins?

Jesus died on The Cross to forgive them.........

So, What will you do ? @Riven
