Good news. Gospel. A change in management is coming. Which is to say, the Messiah is coming to properly manage the world with his management team, the saints. There will be no real change in management until that happens.

Well, maybe. But in the meantime, I'll settle for elections.

When I was in Air Force ROTC (50 years ago), we had a saying which gave us great pride and courage: “Do unto them before they do unto us.”
We were pretty confident that we would never be called upon to actually do it. MAD, don’t you know. Mutually Assured Destruction. No sane person would initiate that.
The brilliant foolishness of man. As someone role playing a U.S. General said in class one day: “If you’ve got ‘em [nuclear and conventional weapons], smoke ’em [the enemy].” We all fell about the classroom, laughing hysterically.
One of the best decisions I ever made in college was to join ROTC. One of the best decisions I ever made after joining ROTC was to leave ROTC after a year. That’s all the time I needed to learn an important lesson.

The great commission of the Messiah is to make disciples in all the nations of the world; not by advising the nation to take up weapons against nation, but by preaching the gospel of the kingdom.

Governing righteously. You want good government? The Messiah’s government is better than good.
Teaching people to beat their swords into ploughshares, to live life abundantly and in peace with God and their neighbor, as God intended mankind to live.
It’s my destiny as a disciple of the Messiah. People like you have tended to treat me as if I’m the one who sent me. Such persons will be rewarded for that. My reward is to shepherd them in the coming kingdom of God.
Elections won’t solve the problem. You’re settling for a dead end solution.
You have a much better offer / option on the table and turned it down. The offer / option hasn’t expired yet. It will when you do.

In case you haven't noticed. Israel is winning. Quite handily too.
Iran has lost its nuke facilities, its radar, its television station. Over 2/3rds of its missile launchers....and a bunch of military service members, nuclear physicists, scientists, and heads of Terrorist coordinating chiefs.
Israel is not losing. In fact....Iranian citizens are cheering Israel at the moment.

How are the sons of God to make peace? (Not the way I was taught / learned in ROTC and in the Baptist Church I was raised in.)
They are to make peace with the gospel of peace (Ephesians 6:15), not with physical violence. They may or may not lose their lives when confronting the rule of evil with the gospel but they gain the life of the coming age by doing what the Messiah said they must do.

But Iran is like the hydra. Cut off one head, another replaces it. The only way to achieve true victory is with a ground invasion force.

And maybe no foreign ground forces will be needed.
There's a chance that Iran will fix its own leadership problem. Most Iranians agree that the Mullahs and Ayatollah needs to go. After that they agree on nothing else.
You know cutting the head off isn’t the solution.
The only way to achieve true victory over evil is confronting it with the gospel preached by the Messiah and the apostles. Anything else is just a stop gap that doesn’t achieve the goal.
That argument hasn’t persuaded you yet. So let’s turn our attention to Iraq, or perhaps Afghanistan. Did ground invasion force achieve the true victory over evil that you’re looking for?
I lost one of the best friends I’ve ever had in Afghanistan. He came home alive, but he was dead. I’ve shared his story elsewhere on the forum.
Ask him if “ground force invasion” is the solution to evil and he’ll be quick to tell you that it isn’t. He killed evil (he wouldn’t talk much about it but what little he shared with me was horrific) and that evil is killing him.

To me it sounds like the situation had changed from the previous time.
And in verse 38, Jesus just doesn't want to say more on it.
