Does that include you?
Yes.
If all someone knows about me is that I am a Christian...
Then they will make assumptions about me based on all the other Christians they have known.

Do you recall what Gandhi said about that?

Mahatma Gandhi is often quoted as saying, "I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ," which reflects his criticism of the behavior of some Christians compared to the teachings of Jesus. This quote is frequently used to highlight perceived hypocrisy within Christianity.

So was Gandhi speaking about you as well, even though you may have only been a twinkle in your old man's eye?

LOL
I get along great with unbelievers. I was inspired by this scripture long ago.

Luke 2:52 NIV
And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.

Here's another one. This is what the church should look like.
Unfortunately, we have failed miserably.

Acts 2:46-47 NIV
Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts.
They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts,
47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.
And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Seems too many make an idol of their personal interpretation of the Bible.
Claiming theirs is the only truth and that others are "of the devil" because their view differs.
What's wrong with this picture? Misplaced allegiance. Religious fiefdoms.
Building walls, instead of bridges.

- What is the purpose of the Bible?
- Should the Bible be used to cause division?
- Where is your allegiance ultimately?

....

So now you are going to infer that we should NOT treat The Bible as The Living Word of God??

Deut 8:3
3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.
KJV

Matt 4:4
4
But He answered and said, "It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."
KJV

That is Lord Jesus Christ speaking above in that Matthew 4:4 verse.

2 Peter 1:19-21
19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
20
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
KJV

Those who listen to men who debase The written Word of God don't know the difference between their backsides and a hole in the ground. Only a fool would listen to them.

When a theology is "a doctrine of devils", as Hebrews explains in Chapter 13.... then its of the Devil. Its inspired by the Devil.
And to teach one of the many false Gospel's. , is to do the Devil's work.
There are many of these false Gospels, that Paul explaines are "cursed" as is the person.

For example "Universalism" .

Another would be "Scientology".

Another would be "baptismal regeneration".

Another would be "there are many paths that lead to God".

For example "Universalism" .
"The Encyclopedia of Religious Knowledge" by Schaff-Herzog, 1908, volume 12, page 96 German theologian- Philip Schaff, Editor: "In the first five or six centuries of Christianity there were six theological schools, of which four (Alexandria, Antioch, Caesarea, and Edessa, or Nisibis) were Universalist, one (Ephesus) accepted conditional immortality; one (Carthage or Rome) taught endless punishment of the wicked. Other theological schools are mentioned as founded by Universalists, but their actual doctrine on this subject is not known." The main Patristic supporters of the apokatastasis theory, such as Bardaisan, Clement, Origin, Didymus, St. Anthony, St. Pamphilus Martyr, Methodius, St. Macrina, St. Gregory of Nyssa (and probably the two other Cappadocians), St. Evagrius Ponticus, Diodore of Tarsus, Theodore of Mopsuestia, St. John of Jerusalem, Rufinus, St. Jerome and St. Augustine (at least initially) … Cassian, St. Issac of Nineveh, St. John of Dalyatha, Ps. Dionysius the Areopagite, probably St. Maximus the Confessor, up to John the Scot Eriugena, and many others, grounded their Christian doctrine of apokatastasis first of all in the Bible.

Trying to deny the Bible by using an outside source is a deceptive game.

What will you use next i wonder to try to defend your false Gospel. ?

You are using MaryCult theology to try to prove your deception?

That's not going to work......as using Marycult material to try to sustain with credibility a false Gospel, is again, just one more symptom of your religious issue.

Because that's how the world makes me feel.
This has nothing to do with the words of the Bible.
I agree.
Humankind produced the Bible.
Should we trust the book more than the author?

What I mean is, does our relationship with the book of more importance
than our personal relationship with God?

Humankind produced the Bible.

Noone is ever going to confuse you with someone who loves the bible and respects it, i(f they have read the majority of your posts and Threads.)
So dont worry about that.
= Mission accomplished.

But just so you know...
The Holy Spirit produced the Holy Bible.
Men who were of the Holy Spirit, wrote it down.
A Printing machine, eventually took it from there.

More falsehoods from you.

Time to educate yourself about that canonization and translation of scripture.

More falsehoods from you.

Your many previous Threads, and your many previous posts, prove me right.
See, you always want to find a scheme, to try to imply that the bible is just a book.
Why you feel this need inside to try to prove what you'll never prove, is the question, isn't it....

So, did you ever find out if the Holy Bible "floats like soap"/..........?
Sorry, i didnt finish your THREAD about that to find out you conclusion. @St. SteVen .
