Please post where Dr.Wallace said that. Thanks.I think one should emphasize that we do have the originals WORDS of the autographs. In other words, we do not have the old pieces of paper, but we have recreated those manuscripts in the Critical Text. Dan says we actually have 103% of the words of scripture, what work needs to be done now is to remove the dross (the 3%).
That's a good question. Please post where Dr.Wallace said that. Thanks.
Dan and I were at a bar in London, where I drilled him for a few hours with questions. This statement was said to me by Dan. However, this statement appears in a few of his articles and books. I have almost all his books and articles, so I will invest some time into looking through my library to see if I can find that quote later tonight. Please post where Dr.Wallace said that. Thanks.

No such thing as an unbiased translation. And you know what, you can see bias in the manuscripts and dictionaries.A work in progress?
When will we have a Bible? ( a real unbiased translation)
In BIBLE we trust? - Misplaced allegiance?
Seems too many make an idol of their personal interpretation of the Bible. Claiming theirs is the only truth and that others are "of the devil" because their view differs. What's wrong with this picture? Misplaced allegiance. Religious fiefdoms. Building walls, instead of bridges. - What is...www.christianityboard.com

Which is why we must believe in God, not believe in,worship , the Bible. No such thing as an unbiased translation. And you know what, you can see bias in the manuscripts and dictionaries.
How do we believe God if his book is biased by the translators? The best solution I know of is to discipline yourself and take a little time each day to learn the Greek NT.Which is why we must believe in God, not believe in,worship , the Bible.
God predates the book.
When Jesus spoke Aramaic and Hebrew? How do we believe God if his book is biased by the translators? The best solution I know of is to discipline yourself and take a little time each day to learn the Greek NT.
When are you going to surrender to "Thy word is Truth"Would you surrender your own beliefs in the cause of doctrinal unity? To end disputes?
Would you surrender your own beliefs in the cause of doctrinal unity?
This is a follow-up to the previous topic: Unity of the faith - at what cost? Link below. Probably the biggest roadblock to Christian doctrinal unity is holding on to the freedom we have to determine our own beliefs. Would you surrender your own beliefs in the cause of Christian doctrinal...www.christianityboard.com
God made a Better Way then that. How do we believe God if his book is biased by the translators? The best solution I know of is to discipline yourself and take a little time each day to learn the Greek NT.
All translations have errors and a certain bias toward trinitarian doctrine. Reader beware!
New topic:
The extortion gospel - "believe or burn" - not really a choice
Is the gospel preached from most pulpits really a choice? What are the stated consequences for refusing the "free gift" of eternal life? The "believe or burn" gospel amounts to extortion. A decision based on fear of the stated consequences for refusal. - Does God honor a decision based on...www.christianityboard.com
--- PARODY ---
KJO reader: This is what the Word of God says.
NIV reader: Let's compare the NIV translation.
KJO reader: WHAT! ??? That's a terrible translation!
NIV reader: Are you saying it isn't the "Word of God"?
KJO reader: The NIV left verses out of the Bible!
NIV reader: No, the NIV kept the same verse numbering system
but left out verses that didn't belong there in the first place.
KJO reader: THEY REMOVED VERSES FROM THE BIBLE !!!!
NIV reader: No, that's not what happened.
KJO reader: Yes it is what HAPPENED !!!
NIV reader: Show me one.
KJO reader: Here you go.
NIV reader: My footnote accounts for that.
KJO reader: Accounts for verses removed from the Bible? ???
NIV reader: The footnote says: It does not appear in any New Testament
manuscript prior to the end of the 6th century.
KJO reader: It's NOT the Word of God !!!!
NIV reader: Seriously?
Interesting that the Bible is "the Word of God",
unless someone quotes a translation you disagree with.
Do you do that?

I think the word was monogenous? or near thatIt should be remembered that the Bible is a reference to the various modern language translations. We ought to be talking about the Original NT manuscripts, the Autographa.
For example, in GJohn 3:16 the KJV has "the only begotten son." This is found in the English translations but not in the original NT manuscripts.
All versions are translated by man.

Translating the words God wants us to understand?
Think about that. A perfect God inspires condemned from birth humans to interpret his words to bring us into a better world than this one.
