Interesting that the Bible is "the Word of God", unless someone quotes a translation you disagree with.

I think one should emphasize that we do have the originals WORDS of the autographs. In other words, we do not have the old pieces of paper, but we have recreated those manuscripts in the Critical Text. Dan says we actually have 103% of the words of scripture, what work needs to be done now is to remove the dross (the 3%).
Please post where Dr.Wallace said that. Thanks.

Dan and I were at a bar in London, where I drilled him for a few hours with questions. This statement was said to me by Dan. However, this statement appears in a few of his articles and books. I have almost all his books and articles, so I will invest some time into looking through my library to see if I can find that quote later tonight.

Thank you for your time. I think that information invaluable for serious students of Bible study.

A work in progress?

When will we have a Bible? ( a real unbiased translation)

[
No such thing as an unbiased translation. And you know what, you can see bias in the manuscripts and dictionaries.

Which is why we must believe in God, not believe in,worship , the Bible.

God predates the book.

How do we believe God if his book is biased by the translators? The best solution I know of is to discipline yourself and take a little time each day to learn the Greek NT.

Would you surrender your own beliefs in the cause of doctrinal unity? To end disputes?

When are you going to surrender to "Thy word is Truth"

All translations have errors and a certain bias toward trinitarian doctrine. Reader beware!

All Scriptural is True.

Disciples… followers

Apostles….followers, taught, sent to Preach.

Names…YIKES…Common in Jesus’ Days on Earth…
multiple Scriptural characters having the SAME names and the Translations and the multiple meaning of WORDS, and changing the meanings of Words, to mean the Complete opposite / different meaning.

Examples;
John’s
Simon’s
James’
Judas’
Levi’s
Joseph’s
Mary’s

Race= Hebrews, Gentiles, Israelites, Jews, pigment of skin.

Gay- Festive, Joyful.
* Odd, Queer

Cool- mild weather temperature.
* Hip, Hot.

Babe-natural born infant.
* Shapely attractive Female, hot.

Traditions- Religious Mosaic Law of special days for HEBREWS, ISRAELITES, JEWS remembrances to gather celebrate.
* Modern man made religious “traditions”.
* And…Sports, Birthdays, Anniversaries, skin color, Disasters and “just because”…party.

The Gospels ARE “according to” Matthew, Mark, Luke, John.
Giving rise to, what they individually saw, heard, spoke and was written down by (a scribe/ note taker/ secretary)….then given a “recorder”….”transcriber”…to write on Scrolls…thereafter Copied to Books…

Each from the Apostles…to the extent of everyone else’s Language, Vocabulary, Writing and Editing skills…

Pretty Phenomenal considering the broad and usual Illiteracy rate among the vast majority of people.

Errors? Maybe, but I think more-so is the wide range of language and cultures.

--- PARODY ---

KJO reader: This is what the Word of God says.
NIV reader: Let's compare the NIV translation.
KJO reader: WHAT! ??? That's a terrible translation!
NIV reader: Are you saying it isn't the "Word of God"?
KJO reader: The NIV left verses out of the Bible!
NIV reader: No, the NIV kept the same verse numbering system
but left out verses that didn't belong there in the first place.
KJO reader: THEY REMOVED VERSES FROM THE BIBLE !!!!
NIV reader: No, that's not what happened.
KJO reader: Yes it is what HAPPENED !!!
NIV reader: Show me one.
KJO reader: Here you go.
NIV reader: My footnote accounts for that.
KJO reader: Accounts for verses removed from the Bible? ???
NIV reader: The footnote says: It does not appear in any New Testament
manuscript prior to the end of the 6th century.
KJO reader: It's NOT the Word of God !!!!
NIV reader: Seriously?

Interesting that the Bible is "the Word of God",
unless someone quotes a translation you disagree with.

Do you do that?

THere are fake bibles.
So, this means that the Christian has to learn how to know what isnt, so that they are not deceived by a fake one.

One of the absolutle worst translations ever created is the : NIV
Its a truly horrible translation.
Avoid it.

And Here is a actual Fake bible., for example.

“So you are a teacher of Israel,” said Jesus, “and you do not recognise such things? I assure you that we are talking about something we really know and we are witnessing to something we have actually observed, yet men like you will not accept our evidence. Yet if I have spoken to you about things which happen on this earth and you will not believe me, what chance is there that you will believe me if I tell you about what happens in Heaven? No one has ever been up to Heaven except the Son of Man who came down from Heaven. The Son of Man must be lifted above the heads of men—as Moses lifted up that serpent in the desert—so that any man who believes in him may have eternal life. For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that every one who believes in him shall not be lost, but should have eternal life. You must understand that God has not sent his Son into the world to pass sentence upon it, but to save it—through him. Any man who believes in him is not judged at all. It is the one who will not believe who stands already condemned, because he will not believe in the character of God’s only Son. This is the judgment—that light has entered the world and men have preferred darkness to light because their deeds are evil. Anybody who does wrong hates the light and keeps away from it, for fear his deeds may be exposed. But anybody who is living by the truth will come to the light to make it plain that all he has done has been done through God.”

LSB

LEB
For in this way God loved the world, so that he gave his one and only Son, in order that everyone who believes in him will not perish, but will have eternal life.
TLB
For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son so that anyone who believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
MSG
“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.

It should be remembered that the Bible is a reference to the various modern language translations. We ought to be talking about the Original NT manuscripts, the Autographa.

For example, in GJohn 3:16 the KJV has "the only begotten son." This is found in the English translations but not in the original NT manuscripts.
I think the word was monogenous? or near that
