Well?
Paul taught it....
It is in Scripture.
Just look at all the truths in Scripture that the Roman Catholic Church failed to discern.
Those later on who saw what was there should be ignored because it was not taught earlier?
Like what for instance?
What do we know now that was not known 2 thousand years ago?
Are you saying that some person of 1 or 2 hundred years ago knows more about what Jesus taught than those that were taught by Jesus Himself or those that they then taught?
The truth does not become truth only when someone finally understands what Scripture tells us.
It was ALWAYS understood what scripture taught.
The fact that Jesus was born without a sin nature was not to be better understood as to how it was possible until genetics became understood much later on. For the ovum does not pass down the defect like the male sperm does.
Are you confirming that Jesus was born without the sin nature?
Was this known from the beginning of the Christian faith?
What does the ovum have anything to do with what the Angel Gabriel announced to Mary?
Was it not true because it was not understood HOW it would happen?
Is it not enough to know that Mary would be the mother
and
God would be the Father?
Luke 1:35
35 The angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God.
You think the early church could understand genetics? No, they did not. That is one reason the RCC came up with its hocus-pocus solution they call Immaculate Conception.
No GeneZ.
What do you think the IC is anyway?
It has nothing to do with Jesus.
There was a lot to learn in the early church not understood, that later generations would finally be ready for understanding.
I still would like to know what.
Christianity was established within the first and second centuries.
What you're speaking about is clarifying revelation.
Revelation can certainly be clarified - but NOT CHANGED.
There is no new revelation.
If this were so, Christianity would become fluid and cease to exist.
1. There is no new revelation. Jesus is the last revelation.
Hebrews 1:1-2
1 God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways,
2 in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world.
If Jesus is not the last revelation....
then Muhammad was also correct,
Ellen White was correct,
Charles Russell was correct,
Joseph Smith was correct,
etc.
If Jesus is not the last revelation from God,,,,
then Christianity might very well be wrong and yet you call yourself a Christian.
2. We cannot ADD or subtract to the words in the bible.
We are warned about this.
Revelation 22:18
18 I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book;
Many have done what the above prohibits...they have added or even changed the very words in the bible.
3. The foundation has been laid. No new foundations are allowed according to the word of God.
Ephesians 2:19-20
19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God's household,
20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone,
4. Modern claims often OPPOSE scripture.
God does not contradict Himself.
I've often stated that some modern day teachings create conflict in scripture.
If there is conflict in scripture - what are we to believe? Which truth?
The NT would cease to be effective and would become useless.
You seem to believe that we're much smarter today...
so why is there still war?
Why is there still murder?
Why do we still insult other persons?
Nothing has changed except that we know a bit more and we have some technology.
This does not make the bible irrelevant.
God is the Father of Jesus - no matter HOW you wish to explain it.
It is STILL TRUTH.
