I was just providing the starting context that it was Jesus (who is the Word made flesh) who was speaking to her there.
She understood him to be a Jew.
The Messiah was to spring out of Judah
Micah 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. (Matt 2:4-6. Heb 7:14, Rev 5:5)
John 4:25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
John 4:26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.
He is our salvation, who sprang out of Judah
John 4:22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
Out of the same the ends of the earth would see the salvation of God
Jesus being made perfect, became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him
The same were set for a light and for salvation to the ends of the earth.
Acts 13:47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
He is the Word made flesh, and made like them (of the tribe of Judah)
