@Matthias, we started off GOOD and have had GOOD conversations in the past.

You have selective memory.

It is time we forgive and forget and move UPward in CHRIST

I’ll wait for the moderator’s action on the report that you filed. No matter what action is taken, I’m not going to be yoked with you and your teaching.

No edits and i said to you exactly what i said to Mattias

Here it is one more time in summation and definition of "one gods" which was taken out of context by someone on here

Here is the context

a.) Genesis ch1 = Hebrew word for God is Elohim which is plural
b.) The Plurality of Elohim is further declared in 1:26 - "Let US make man in OUR image according to OUR likeness"
c.) The Hebrew word for "one" when applied to Elohenu and the Lord in the Shema(Deut 6:4) is "echad"
d.) echad is used when there is a more then a single entity/item that act as one
e.) echad denotes what JESUS said of a husband and his wife = Mark 10:7-8
For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh.

f.) echad denotes what JESUS said of His relationship with His FATHER = John 10:30
I and My Father are one.

It would be if my spiritual heritage was unbelieving Jews. My spiritual heritage is believing Jews. Believing Jews didn’t stone Christians; they were the earliest Christians.
This whole "spiritual heritage" is nonsense and you should drop it. BTW, when I asked in in which Jewish group is that "creed of Judaism" you mention frequently, you said "in all Jewish groups". So, you are limiting it when you want and broadening it when you want.

Do you affirm the Nicene Creed?
Yes, in its trinitarianism.
Do you support the “one gods” teaching that was introduced in the thread yesterday?
I am not interested in decoding "elohim" into something theological. I see no need for it. The word is probably just a Semitic linguistic remnant of ancient polytheism in Mesopotamia. But I did not pay much attention to that conversation. Theophanies in the Old Testament are a more interesting way to prove... whatever the elohim is supposed to prove, IMO.

Is there any scriptural evidence for a unique eternal begetting of anyone?
Sure, all the verses saying that the Son existed before incarnation or even before the creation of the universe.

You have been misled into thinking that the common and traditional term 'begotten' as applied to Jesus cannot be a human concept.
Says who, the Jehovist materials? Whole Christianity is clear in the Trinitarian teachings.

I’m not going to drop my spiritual heritage. It’s precious to me.

No. I simply answered your question.

Yes, in its trinitarianism.

Thanks. See below.

@David in NJ doesn’t know basic Hebrew grammar. That lack of understanding has led him to teach a “one gods” theory. No trinitarian posting in this thread has come forward to say that they believe his teaching.

If you, a trinitarian, don’t believe his teaching then he says you (without naming you) ”have not yet believed every Word that proceeded from the mouth of God.’” See his post #433.

His “one gods” teaching is absolutely not what the Nicene Creed teaches.

“One gods” is, at best, nothing but nonsense.

Well, as I said, I am not interested in that. I do not build my faith on Hebrew words or on Jewish history, culture or "creeds".

Neither Jesus nor the apostles used Hebrew for any teaching. Jesus spoke in Aramaic and the apostles taught the public in Greek.

Well, as I said, I am not interested in that.

Then you aren’t interested in defending the Nicene Creed. I am.

Why are you not interested in defending your fellow trinitarians from his accusation? I am.

Why are you not interested in trying to help him see the error of believing in “one gods”? I am.

I do not build my faith on Hebrew words or on Jewish history, culture or "creeds".

Nor, apparently, do you build your faith on Christian history, culture or “creeds”.

Neither Jesus nor the apostles used Hebrew for any teaching.

How did you arrive at that conclusion? Jesus and the apostles were all well aware of what is written in Hebrew.

Don't be manipulative. We are not required to participate in every conversation under the Sun and in every fight.

And your beliefs are not according to the Nicene Creed, obviously.

How did you arrive at that conclusion? Jesus and the apostles were all well aware of what is written in Hebrew.
Quote Jesus or the apostles using something from Hebrew. Most Jews in the Hellenistic world did not even speak Hebrew.

Jesus spoke Aramaic, the apostles taught the public in Greek. Hebrew was used basically only in the temple or in some synagogues, but was not used in a normal life.

I’m not being manipulative. I was asking why you don’t care as much about the Nicene Creed, your fellow trinitarians, and him as I do.

And your beliefs are not according to the Nicene Creed, obviously.

Obviously. Just as obviously as his aren’t.

Quote Jesus or the apostles using something from Hebrew.

See their many quotations of the Hebrew Bible.

Most Jews in the Hellenistic world did not even speak Hebrew.

That’s right.

There isn’t a person anywhere on this planet that I wouldn't try to help if I was aware that he or she believed in “one gods”. Who besides me is publicly (perhaps someone is privately) trying to help the one who is teaching “one gods” to his readers?

The “one gods” of trinitarianism? No. And no trinitarian will stand up and say so? It falls to a Jewish monotheist to do it?

In the words of R.C. Sproul to his fellow trinitarians, what’s wrong with you people?
