Just like when He was baptized....not because He needed to be
Hmm. Bad premise on top of bad premise. Perhaps he was baptized because he needed to be.

The whole "need" analysis is a distraction from that he was changed, which is not a quality of the unchanging God of Scripture.

The scripture says "the second man (Jesus) is the Lord from heaven". 1 Cor 15. Who is the Lord? God is the Lord. Jesus Christ is Lord. There is only one Lord/God.

And in that same passage it says "the last Adam became a quickening spirit".........perhaps that is the change that Jesus underwent.

The scripture says "the second man (Jesus) is the Lord from heaven".
The second man, you say? I agree. Jesus is a man not God).
1 Cor 15. Who is the Lord? God is the Lord. Jesus Christ is Lord. There is only one Lord/God.
Wrong. There are literally dozens of lords in the Bible. This includes the Lord God and the Lord Jesus. Two lords. See Psalm 110:1.

The very next verse (16) states what all of Scripture, every Epistle states, there is one God, the Father. Why do you suppose in v16, the text changes the Father in reference to who God is to referencing who the lord is in referencing Jesus other than the author meant something different in using these different words?

This is akin to the US having only one POTUS. Yet, for every person, there is also (for them) one Governor, which is analogous to that very same verse changing the word referring to one to lord. This is hierarchy, which is also stated many times in Scripture between God and his Anointed. See Jesus submitting to the will of his God. You do know that Jesus has a God, right?

NOTE: There is no Lord Holy Spirit in Scripture. What do you make of that and this supposed person not even having a name?

@ProDeo

Now if you go over to Romans 1:21 we are given further insight into your question:

"For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened."

Consider the people in Noah's time: Genesis 6:5; 8:21. The idea is that mythology and idolatry arose from humanity's deep desire to recognize a higher power, yet their refusal to acknowledge God as the supreme authority led them to create substitutes. Interestingly, the verb "to become futile" in this context is closely related to a noun that was used for idols (Acts 14:15). Idols are empty and worthless, and worshiping them only leads to further futility and separation from the true, living God. This is similar to Daniel's rebuke of King Belshazzar in Daniel 5:23.

Everyone believes in some form of god, whether it's themselves or deities created by human hands.

Once again, this is the cost of creation, God knew that creating humanity would come with a personal price. This is why He grieved that He had made mankind during Noah's time, and throughout history, He has expressed in His heart...

I am not slow at keeping my promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, I am patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Though in His foreknowledge He knew many would perish.

This is a reality that God accepted when He said, "Let there be light." While many may try to judge Him for granting free will and all its consequences, in the end, God knows who are truly His.
@ProDeo do you need more examples?

@Hiddenthings and I have observed this also. A question posed calls for one to be responsible, literally, "able to respond." He is not responsible, NOT able to respond to questions that reveal the foolishness of his position. Willful ignorance ensues. Changing the subject is then his tactic.

He doesn't seek to know, only to obfuscate. He doesn't seek to edify, only to promote doubt. This is not the action of a believer in YHWH and his anointed Son.

I prayed several times for @St. SteVen last night. The sad message I repeatedly got is that he is a demoniac, succumbed to the influence of several demons. I've been commanded to avoid him for now and will put him on ignore.
Speaking poorly of people to others behind their back while elevating ones own piety ....SPEAKS!

Everything here is visible to all. Sadly, your deliberate ignorance is equally clear to everyone.

I (along with others) have taken it upon us to bring to light the hidden things of darkness, no matter how long it takes.

You may perceive this as an attack on your reputation, but it is, in fact, a challenge to the false beliefs you two have been promoting in this forum for far too long.

Moving forward, your ability to continue doing so will become increasingly difficult.

I realize there are earthly lords and kings, and angelic principalities too, who are all lesser than THE Lord of lords, and King of kings. The name of Jesus is above every name. These are some further scriptures that speak to His divinity: "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. By Him all things were made...." "Before Abraham was, I AM!" "God was manifest in the flesh." "Show us the Father.....I have been with you all this time and have you not know me? If you have seen me you have seen the Father." "Thomas answered and said unto Him, my Lord and my God"

Col 1:15-19

Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

Such inconceivable and beautiful humility that the Lord God lowered Himself to come and live in the weak flesh of mortal man and willingly subject Himself to cruel hands so that we could be saved. We worship Jesus and praise Him, and give Him thanks, and call upon His name. No way could we do that with any mere human being, but only God, otherwise we are all idolators. All power and authority in heaven and earth was given to Him. Are we sufficient to understand these things fully how they could be? No, we only understand in part.....but we believe even if we don't fully understand. Concerning the coming of Jesus, it says in the Psalm, "A body thou hast prepared for me" Even we mere humans are something more than just our physical body, no?

I am not sure if I understand this fully, but consider that His Spirit, is HIS Spirit, not separate from Him, just like our human spirit is our spirit and is the essence of who we are....the Spirit of Christ and the Spirit of God are termed interchangeably in scripture because it is one and the same Spirit.

And yes, God was Jesus' God because as the previous scripture I posted explains, being found in the form of a man, Jesus voluntarily and humbly subjected Himself to the Father and became His servant. He was both God and man....son of God and son of man.

God is love. God is spirit.

God is not foolish and owes us nothing.

Yet he gives life to people who don’t even think about or care about him.

God is nothing like you.

You.

A human who is broken and makes their own choice.

Good or evil. Doesn’t matter how good you are… or how evil you are…

You are the only one who can place trust in God if “it” even exist.

Okay, you are an Annihilationist then.
Your chosen doctrine is in contradiction with Damnationists, like @Jack
who believe in a forever burning hell.
I believe Jesus. Not you!

Quoting STV: "no wonder I don't trust the Bible"!
Both doctrines are biblical and contradictory.
And also contradict Ultimate Redemption. (universalism)

Is God Magnanimous? - (as opposed to tyrannical)

Stumbled upon a word I rarely see used. Magnanimous.
I sought a complete definition. (see below)
When I found it, I realized that it fit my personal view of God.
God is magnanimous.

Defined as:
Highly moral, especially in showing kindness or forgiveness,
as in overlooking insults or not seeking revenge.

Questions:
- Is God known for showing kindness and forgiveness?
- Is God known for overlooking insults and not seeking revenge? (revenge is a sin)
- Is God easily offended? (a hothead)
- Does God repay evil with good? (as we are expected to)

I don't reject God.
You have replaced God with what the church told you.
Idolatry.
You reject God of the Bible! You said so! So who is your god. Don't have a clue?

Keep that right hand clean STV!

Revelation 14:9-11
"If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark in his forehead or in his hand, 10 he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.
11 And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name."

Is both an option?

Most people don't act uniformly. If we are in God's image, perhaps God acts on a case-by-case basis as well.
