Please answer this question:

Verse 7:11 is indeed the demise of pagan Rome in 476 AD. And the question is ... since the little horn came out of Rome (specifically, pagan Rome before its demis), then the little horn AND the 10 horns had to "come out" of pagan Rome before 476 AD.

Who is the little horn?

The problem arises because of an incorrect inference that these scriptures have anything to do with Rome, that includes Dan 2 and Dan 7.

Didn’t you just post that Rome was the 4th kingdom in another topic?

Doesn't the little horn come out of the 4th bease - pagan Rome in chapter 7, but only AFTER the 10 horns come out of pagan Rome in chapter 7.

And since pagan Rome is destroyed in 476 AD (7:11), this means that BOTH the little horn AND the 10 horns must have already come onto scene BEFORE its demise!

Would you mind looking at the verses again in chapter 7 and see if you agree?

No, the little horn of Daniel 8 has nothing to do with a particular nation. Or a man.

Since God has defined the horn as power. Therefore, the little horn represents the power for the beast to rule for a little period. Ie. The little season.

Rome?? No! Many of you are confused on what Daniel 8 talked about.

Daniel 8:7
  • "And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no Power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand."
The Ram "ultimately" signifies Congregation Israel. The two horn symbolized the power of the truthful testimony of Israel, the Old Testament congregation and the New Testament congregation with the Church being "higher and come out last" after the Cross. Just as the two witnesses represented the power of the true testimony in Revelation 11. When the horn of Israel was broken, there was no more more power to stand before Satan (the he goat). Same with the power of evil when it was broken.

Daniel 8:8
  • "Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven."
The great horn allowed him to push with power so that the Ram couldn't stand before him. For example, it 'symbolized' his great power. And likewise, when his horn is broken, it symbolizes his power being taken away.

This great horn being broken is symbolic of the death blow the Lord gave the Kingdom of Satan by dealing him a deadly wound by the cross. Yet as a defeated foe, Satan still goes about as a roaring lion (a beast) seeking whom he may devour. But His power was without a doubt broken (Hebrews 2:14), though we understand that he still is (2 thessalonians 2:6-7; Revelation 17:8 ) a force in the world. Or as Daniel says:

Daniel 8:22
  • "Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power."
The great one is broken and scattered (4 being the number of universality). Christ scattered the power of the Kingdom of Satan in binding him so that He could spoil (take by right of conquest) the people of the nations of the world. But he was not eliminated from the earth. For he was bound not for the world, but for the people of the New Testament congregation, chosen by Grace out of the nations. The Gentiles or nations was not being deceived since the Cross, so Christ could build his Church. Selah! When the Church went to the nations who were enlightened, Satan went as an adversary through the unsaved people of the congregation, the he goats! But by the Holy Spirit which Christ sent that the nations be not deceived, we are the nations being sealed of God, His Church being built. This is why Satan's power was broken and scattered towards the four winds, (Daniel 8:8 ). When he was strong, the great horn was broken, that the Lord could establish His Kingdom. This was at the cross.

Jeremiah 31:10-11
  • "Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock.
  • For the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of him that was stronger than he."
Matthew 12:28-29
  • "But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
  • Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house."
Satan, the strong ruler of this kingdom, was bound from deceiving the nations so Christ could spoil people from his house of spiritual bondage. Once the building of the church is finished, Satan's power will be great again at the appointed end, but only for short time - a short season. Eg.

Revelation 7:1-3
  • "And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
  • And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
  • Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads."
In other words, this wickedness of the nations through Satan was bound, restrained, scattered in the four winds (world) from ever being loosed until God had first sealed (Saved) all of Congregation Israel which he intended to seal. Then and only then could this wickedness be loosed for a little season! And THIS is at the point where the little horn pops up where the four (without his power) are. Which brings us to the little horn.

Daniel 8:8-10
  • "Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.
  • And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.
  • And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them."
The "little" horn signifies "Power for a little season", or power of this beast to rule for a short period of time.

Revelation 20:3
  • "And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season."
The little season Satan is loosed corresponds to this little horn. Or the power Satan has to rule with great power for a little while where he will deceive all of people in the church who have not yet sealed by God (Revelation 9:3-5) where God judges this unfaithful churchs.

Little horn = a little time of Power of Satan rule IN GOD'S CONGREGATION. Not Rome. Not Britain. Not Russia. Not Israel. Not the United States. But wherever the Churches are in the whole world (ie. four winds of heaven).

Revelation 17:10
  • "And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space[/b]."
This short period is the little horn (power to rule a little period). This is after all the Election are sealed (saved) and God looses Satan to deceive and rule for a little period just before the second advent. He comes against the Church, the pleasant land, and deceives it so greatly that if the Lord didn't return, there would be no flesh left on earth to be raptured at His coming. That's an overview "basically" of this type symbolism. Selah!

Thanks for sharing all of your thoughts.... It is clear you have been deep into Daniel and the Scriptures. It would not really be possible for me to respond to each and every point you have made.... but perhaps we might take baby steps if you are willing to discuss the little horn, who he is, where did he come from and when did he arrive as well, if we get around to it, all the horrible things he will do against God, His people and His saints.... chapter 7, 8 and 11 are absolutely full of those revelations.....

So, if you are willing, I would ask if you would tell me who the little horn is in chapter 7 who "came out" of the 4th beast kingdom - which, to me, is pagan Rome. And if that is a quick response, you might also tell me who the 10 horns are since they came out just before (well not just before, but certainly earlier than the little horn.

I want to add something for you to consider wisely:

The he goat represents Satan or his kingdom. The horns "on" the goat are symbolic of its Power. It's a "little" horn to illustrate that when it rises up, it's power is for a little period of time (relatively speaking). Revelation chapter 20 speaks of this same rising of Satan's kingdom and calls it Satan allowed loose for "a little season." It's the very same thing! Little Horn or Satan loosed from the pit for a little season, is signifying the very same event near the end of the world.
Dan 8:3

  • Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last.
You will not find the ram, the he-goat, and their horns referring to literal political nations. These symbols point instead to two spiritual kingdoms within God’s congregation.

The ram represents the chosen elect who were given authority to represent God’s kingdom—first in the Old Testament congregation (the first horn), and later in the New Testament congregation (the second horn). The second horn is higher and comes up last because it emerges after the cross and possesses greater spiritual authority.

The he-goat represents Satan’s kingdom operating within the congregation—professed believers and false prophets. After the cross, Satan’s power was restrained so that God could build His church, saving His elect from all nations.

his is why the horn of the New Testament congregation is higher than that of Old Testament Israel: it gathers more of God’s elect, expands to the entire world, and arises after the fall of the Old Testament congregation.

After the sealing of all the chosen elect is completed, Satan will be loosed and will arise as the little horn. This means he will be given power for a short season to deceive—but with a clear limitation from God: he can deceive only those who are not sealed by God within the congregation, namely, the professed Christians.

This is why they are being deceived by false prophets and false christs. When we—the chosen elect—see the abominations caused by these false prophets, we will come out of her, and God will then judge this unfaithful church with plagues. The judgment of the church must take place, and this will be a sign of Christ’s coming.

Sadly, many are preoccupied with identifying specific countries through world news, a literal mark of the beast, literal plagues, a literal seven-year period, and so on—while completely missing what God is actually revealing, because these things are spiritually discerned, not understood through worldly analysis.

The important thing to do is to rightly discern God's definition for the "horn". It is the power. Not man. Not beast. Not nation. Not empire. But POWER or STRENGTH of whatever is in view. Allow me to explain again:

Lamentations 2:3
  • "He hath cut off in his fierce anger all the horn of Israel: he hath drawn back his right hand from before the enemy, and he burned against Jacob like a flaming fire, which devoureth round about."
To cut off the horn of Israel is to break their "power" so that they will be defeated. Again, this illustrates that their horn is a symbol of their strength and power.

Deuteronomy 33:17
  • "His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh."
Here again, the horn is used to symbolize the object of the power and strength of the Bull that enables him to push against the people.

Lamentations 2:17
  • "The LORD hath done that which he had devised; he hath fulfilled his word that he had commanded in the days of old: he hath thrown down, and hath not pitied: and he hath caused thine enemy to rejoice over thee, he hath set up the horn of thine adversaries."
In this passage, God uses the horn to signify that he has taken away the strength or power of Israel as judgment, and has exalted the horn (or Power) of their adversaries to overcome them. In other words, while (verse 3) cutting off the horn of Israel means they no longer had power to stand against their enemies, setting up the horn of their adversaries (verse 17) means that the enemies now had the power or strength to conquer Israel. Clearly the horns there signify Power or strength. We see that when a horn is broken or cut off, it is symbolism that one's power has been broken or cut off. Whether used in conjunction with a crown, where it's man's ability to rule (as a king), or for something to be unable to stand or have strength before an enemy, that signified the cutting off of power. E.g.:

Daniel 8:7
  • "And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand."
That is God's definition! When the horn was broken, there was no more "power" in him to stand before the he goat. This is what those broken "horns" symbolized. And the same with the power of evil when it was broken.

Daniel 8:8
  • "Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven."
The great horn allowed him to push with power so that the Ram could not stand before him. For example, it 'symbolized' his great power. And likewise, when his horn was broken, it symbolizes his power being broken or taken away.

Likewise in Revelation chapter 17 where we see that the dragon had ten horns. Here the number ten signifies fullness, and the horns signify power. So this imagery is to illustrate the fullness of time these kings have "power" to rule along with the Beast.

Revelation 17:12

  • "And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive Power as kings one hour with the beast."
The horns signify the "power" they had to rule with the beast for this short period.

Get it?

Now I will response to your question about little horn of Daniel 7 in next post due to space.

Ahhh. The four beasts of Revelation 7. I am sorry but God is NOT giving us a "literal" history lesson about Greece, Persia, or Rome but a "spiritual" history lesson about a far more sinister spiritual rule. Christ is the prince of peace, what kingdom does He rule? Congregation of Israel, right? Likewise, Satan is the prince of this world, thus what kingdom doe he rule? Their rules are NOT from physical nations or empires, but from spiritual principalities - those people with spirit of Satan that waged war against the congregation of Israel, first the Old Testament congregation, then the New Testament congregation, the church. Even though God has stated it in many diverse ways again and again and again. Yet many people here eschew the spiritual nature of what God is speaking about by accusing me of being 'gnostic"?

Ephesians 6:12
  • "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
Whether we like it or not, God is here telling us that our battle is not against the power of empires, it's not even physical, it's not political, it's not against nations, it's against a "spiritual principality, a spiritual power and spiritual wickedness." Everyone reads these things but few take it to heart which is sad.

Colossians 2:14-15
  • "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
  • And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it."
These Principalities and powers that Christ spoiled was NOT Rome, it wasn't Greece or Persia, but it was spiritual "Egypt" and spiritual principalities and rulers of the darkness of this world where Satan is working through people with his spirit to fight against God's chosen of His kingdom - the congregation of Israel. The Christian must take his mind off the nations of this world and think on a nation from above and just how it is being attacked. Take our eyes off this world and put them on Christ. Okay?

Now exactly what is the beast?

Satan is thee beast, ruling through men, who are as beasts. Just as Satan is thee antichrist, ruling in many antichrists, which are men. There is a principle here that many are missing in their misinterpretation of scripture. Why does God call wicked men serpents, and calls Satan the serpent, humm? Why is Christ called the Star, and we, His servants, called stars? The point I am making is that just because they cannot recognize Satan as the beast, and natural or carnal man as a beast, doesn't mean God doesn't. Look at what Paul wrote about his frustration with professed believers who attacks him all day long:

1st Corinthians 15:32
  • "If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die."
Did He wrestle with a physical bear, spar with a lion or tangle with a leopard? No, his fight was with men who were "as beasts" in that they were without moral values, judgment, knowledge or wisdom.

If I might digress for a minute. What separates man from the dumb beasts of the field is his reasoning and intelligence. Man was created in the image or likeness of God so that (unlike dumb beasts) man was instilled with a certain intellect, reason and the inherent knowledge of His creator. Beasts have no reasoning, they have no knowledge, and they are not sensible. God often contrasts man with beast and even labels man a beast himself when he acts foolishly or without reasoning, or in a ravenous or vicious way. God even goes so far as to speak of man as a beast when illustrating man as unknowledgeable, simple or spiritual insanity (stupid, if you will). So the symbolism of a beast is to illustrate man under influence of Satan acting without reason or knowledge, or when lacking in wisdom and understanding, as one acting foolishly. E.g.:

Psalms 73:22
  • "So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee."
So the beasts of Daniel and Revelation are the BODY of men under influence of Satan who are fighting against God's Elect and their testimony of Truth, okay?

Look, I know the traditional interpretations of the four kings of Daniel chapter 7 usually is that they are literal empires. However I have studied long enough to know that this is NOT true.

When we examine the scriptures more carefully we see that God is not interested in history lessons of worldly empires, but is illustrating spiritual truths.

Daniel 7:2-3

  • "Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.
  • And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another."
God has inspired these truths to be written in cryptic symbolism. For example, patterned after four literal ruling Kingdoms (Chaldea, Persian, Greece and Rome), but symbolizing a spiritual rule in the earth. These four beasts are spiritual pictures of the construct from which Satan rules, which is through carnal man. In other words, the four beasts actually symbolize systemic carnal world rule. In fact, in Revelation chapter 13 we can see these very same beasts pictured as one single beast that has all the aspects of these four beasts illustrated in Daniel chapter 7. They are four here to symbolize the "universality" of this rule of Satan over the peoples of the world (sea). Don't forget that the number 4 symbolizes universality. The beasts are kings, which symbolize rules. The wind many times is synonymous with spirit, and by this prophesy referring to "the four winds of the heaven," it implies the Holy Spirit. Horns again are symbolic of power and strength. The winds of heaven here is an illustration that God ultimately controls all the universe, both good and bad (Revelation 7:7). The sea is the tumultuous world, or peoples of the world, often spoken of as humanity. And the beasts that came up from the sea "symbolize" epocs or periods of time or eras, dominions that successively emerge from the tumultuous disturbances of the world (mimicking the tumultuous sea -As Isaiah 13:4). Even as when Christ calmed the tumultuous sea it was illustrating His rule over the wicked forces of the world that would destroy His disciples in their ship (congregation of Israel). So these four kings symbolize their universal rule. Diverse or different because they differ in symbolism, purpose, and strength.

So the fourth beast represents a time when Satan comes out of bottomless pit with full power with combined deceiving power (eg. a combination of bear lion leopard). It means that his ability to deceive the people once again, this time, is far more powerful than before which is why he is "strong and terrible" and is different from all the beasts before it. And it has the ten horns. Remember ten signifies fullness of whatever is in view. The horn represents power. So This beast will have fullness of power. After this, we read:

Dan 7:8
  • I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.
The ten horns means fullness of power. Like Daniel wrote, when the transgressors are come to the full.

Dan 8:23-24
  • And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.
  • And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
God is talking about Satan's kingdom during the little season after he came out of bottomless pit. When the transgressors are come to the full. Who are the transgressors? When the false prophets and christs are taking over God's congregation in full or with fullness of power (ten horns), they are giving their kingdom (church) to the Little Horn. What about the part about the first three horns plucked up by the roots? The number three in Scripture signifies the will and purpose of God that He allows Satan to take over the church, and destroy the power of the Holy people. Do you recall this in Revelation 17?

Rev 17:16-18

  • And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
  • For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
  • And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
In this context, the woman represents God’s New Testament congregation—the Church—which represents His Kingdom on earth. The “kings of the earth” under her authority are the elect. The ten horns represent the full of deceiving power and influence of false christs and false prophets who hate the Church for who she truly was. Their hatred results in the Church being made spiritually desolate and naked (aka abomination of desolation). The language of “eating her flesh” and “burning her with fire” signifies judgment permitted by God.

Notice that this is according to God’s will and purpose like you read in Daniel 8 where God allows the false christs and false prophets as the transgressors with full power to overtake the congregation and then hand it over to Satan for symbolically one hour, enabling him to rule there. However, Satan’s authority extends only over those within the congregation who have not yet been sealed by God, Revelation 9. The chosen elect are able to discern the deception, see the abomination of desolation, and are called to come out of her in order to avoid God’s judgment.

This is why more and more faithful Christians today are proclaiming judgment upon the modern church—because she has been spiritually desolated by false christs and false prophets everywhere. These conditions serve as signs of Christ’s coming, and this deception will last only a short season before He returns, else there will be no Elect left on Earth to be rapture if the season runs too long.

As I said earlier, you have indeed a strong understanding of the Scriptures- much more than I ever will. It is obvious you have been studying the Scriptures for some time. I am relatively new to this and have started on Daniel about 7 years ago.

But, if I may, there are many true scholars, academics, theologians, etc. that have spent their lifetime studying Daniel and have produced what we might commonly call “today’s accepted interpretations.”

Yet, there not only is no consensus among these “very intelligent folks” but they each might have very different interpretations- one might be labeled as a futurist while another a preterist.

Since I could not find much in agreement with these “different interpretations” I decided to learn their views as I worked my way through Daniel. And I came away with a very different set of interpretations that are based on the coming Messiah- not the 4 kingdoms.

So, it is impossible for me to address the mountain of verses or statements you already have provided but, once again, we CAN begin at the beginning and take each important verse one at a time to learn how and why we came up with our own interpretation.

So, allow me to start and we can walk slowly through Daniel before we each throw a mountain of verses at each other.

Big picture-the book of Daniel is all about the first coming of the Messiah and His plan, not only to restore His people and His city back to the way it was prior to the Babylonian destruction, but He will incorporate within this plan His plan of salvation for all of mankind/ His sacrifice on the cross.

Thus, He will reveal His plan as His people are sent into Babylon and their long return and restoration that culminates in His first arrival.

God gives us the borders and boundaries of His plan by limiting His Story within these 4 and only 4 kingdoms. Everything will or must be interpreted WITHIN these 4 kingdoms.

That is the 4 corners of the picture on the outside of this 1000 piece puzzle box.

What do you think?

The spiritual insight which God conferred upon the Reformation and Reformers enabled them to recognize the apostate papacy as the prevailing antichrist of their era, and to equip them for spiritual battle against it.

That insight and recognition is seen in the Reformers' understanding of the descriptions in Daniel 7 and associated passages in Revelation.

The faith, vision, and sacrifice of the Reformers enabled the liberation of the True Church from spiritual darkness and oppression, and the preservation of the spiritual freedoms which we experience and enjoy today.

Pardon the interruption of the discussion between yourself and TS. It's been very informative. I hope you won't mind me asking you one question, When you say the plan of the Messiah was to "restore His people and His city back to the way it was prior to the Babylonian destruction" do you believe the restoration would be a physical/material restoration, or do you believe the restoration of His people through the Messiah would be spiritually fulfilled through the coming Kingdom of God the Messiah would usher in?

As I said earlier, you have indeed a strong understanding of the Scriptures- much more than I ever will. It is obvious you have been studying the Scriptures for some time. I am relatively new to this and have started on Daniel about 7 years ago.

It is not about how long we have studied the Bible, but when the Lord reveals truth to those who let Scripture interpret Scripture. God—not scholars or academics—is the true Teacher.

“Comparing spiritual things with spiritual.” (1 Cor. 2:13)

“Thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.” (Matt. 11:25)

We must seek God’s interpretation in His Word, not human wisdom or authority.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God.” (2 Tim. 3:16)

Truth is revealed to the humble, not the credentialed.

But, if I may, there are many true scholars, academics, theologians, etc. that have spent their lifetime studying Daniel and have produced what we might commonly call “today’s accepted interpretations.”

Today’s accepted interpretations do not establish truth if Scripture itself proves them wrong. God’s Word stands above every tradition and consensus.

“Let God be true, but every man a liar.” (Romans 3:4)

“To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” (Isaiah 8:20)

Truth is proven by Scripture—not popularity or majority agreement.

Yet, there not only is no consensus among these “very intelligent folks” but they each might have very different interpretations- one might be labeled as a futurist while another a preterist.

I am not concerned with so-called “intelligent” people. We are to be enlightened by God and testify to what His Word actually says. Interpretation belongs to God—not to men.

The scribes and Pharisees spent their entire lives studying Scripture, yet they missed Christ Himself, even when God stood right in front of them (John 5:39–40). Knowledge without discernment leads to blindness.

“The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God… because they are spiritually discerned.” (1 Corinthians 2:14)

Truth is about discerning God’s Word and accepting it as truth—not about credentials. The same applies today to lifelong scholars and theologians. A college degree does not establish spiritual understanding.

“Let God be true, but every man a liar.” (Romans 3:4)

God’s Word stands above all human authority.
Since I could not find much in agreement with these “different interpretations” I decided to learn their views as I worked my way through Daniel. And I came away with a very different set of interpretations that are based on the coming Messiah- not the 4 kingdoms.

Just as God allowed Moses to be raised in Pharaoh’s house—learning Egypt’s wisdom and ways—before giving him true spiritual wisdom, many of us first learn through various interpretations before God leads us to the truth.

“And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians.” (Acts 7:22)

Yet it was not human wisdom that delivered Israel, but God’s revelation. Likewise, truth is found only when we exercise spiritual discernment and submit to what God’s Word actually says.

“The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God… because they are spiritually discerned.” (1 Corinthians 2:14)

God uses the process—but the interpretation and truth belong to Him alone.

God gives us the borders and boundaries of His plan by limiting His Story within these 4 and only 4 kingdoms. Everything will or must be interpreted WITHIN these 4 kingdoms.

That is the 4 corners of the picture on the outside of this 1000 piece puzzle box.

Again, God is not teaching us a lesson about four literal/physical kingdoms or empires here as if we are going to deal with physical kingdoms today.

I realized that Daniel 7 is commonly interpreted as referring to four historical world empires—often identified as Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome. While this historical framework seems plausible. I even taught it before. However, I believe the vision goes beyond merely listing political empires. Scripture often uses earthly kingdoms as types and shadows of deeper spiritual realities. In Daniel 7, God is revealing the structure, progression, and final judgment of Satan’s spiritual kingdom, not just human governments.

The four beasts are not described as neutral political systems, but as violent, devouring, blasphemous, and opposed to God. This language consistently aligns with how Scripture describes Satan’s dominion over the fallen men (Luke 4:5–6; John 12:31; Ephesians 6:12) against God's Elect since the fall of man.

Earthly Empires as Types, Not the Final Meaning. We need to realize that God frequently uses historical nations as types to reveal spiritual truths. For example:
  • Pharaoh is a type of Satan
  • Egypt is a type of bondage to sin
  • Babylon represents spiritual rebellion and corruption
Then we read about how the unfaithful church of Revelation 11 is like Egypt and Sodom. Nor will we deal with physical modern nations within "four corner" empires of Old in Revelation 13.

Reflective Narrative:

God’s Blueprint – Interpreting the Image, Seeing the Plan

Daniel 2 is not merely a dream about world empires or a chronology of kings and kingdoms. It is the unveiling of God’s prophetic blueprint—His deliberate, carefully structured plan for the redemption of humanity. For those who look beyond the surface of metals and monarchs, this chapter reveals the shape of God’s eternal strategy, divided into two masterful sequences: the Dream Sequence and the Interpretation Sequence.

In the Dream Sequence (2:31–36), God presents a brief yet powerful vision: a towering statue made of four distinct metals—gold, silver, bronze, and iron. This image is not only a timeline of earthly powers, but a spiritual scaffold: the arena in which all of God’s redemptive work will unfold. Only four kingdoms are permitted to rise—no more, no less. And within their borders, only two divine actions are introduced:

The first coming of the Messiah, when the Stone strikes the feet.

The second coming, when the entire statue is ground to dust and swept away like chaff in the wind.

The Stone’s first appearance in verse 34 is the moment of impact—the cross—where the feet of iron and clay are struck and the clay within them is divided. The later scene in verse 35 is the harvest—the final crushing when all metals and all clay are reduced to dust. The Dream Sequence quietly holds both: the arrival of the Stone in history, and the final removal of every kingdom opposed to God.

Then comes the Interpretation Sequence (2:37–45). These verses are not simply a chronological continuation; they are consequential. They peel back the spiritual implications of the Stone’s arrival and focus almost entirely on the fourth kingdom—Rome—and what happens after that first strike. The first three kingdoms are acknowledged:

Babylon, the head of gold;

Medo-Persia, the chest and arms of silver;

Greece, the bronze belly and thighs.

Their reigns are explained and then set aside. All prophetic attention now converges on the fourth kingdom—Pagan Rome—and the strange condition of its feet and toes: iron mixed with clay, partly strong, partly brittle, never truly united. Here the blueprint becomes personal. The once unified empire fractures because God has separated the clay from the iron. From that clay, He selects potter’s clay—His people, both Jew and Gentile—who would form the early Church. At the same time, another kind of clay appears: hardened “ceramic” hearts who reject the Messiah while clinging to religious form. The division that began in the Gospels is now built into the very foundation of the fourth kingdom.

But the narrative doesn’t stop at the formation of the Church. The Interpretation Sequence quietly follows the clay through time. It traces how a humble, Spirit-led movement grows within the Roman world, suffers under pagan persecution, and then, over centuries, becomes a Gentile-dominated institution deeply entangled with the iron structures it once stood apart from. Pagan practices enter. Power dynamics shift. What began as a spiritual body becomes a religious empire—Papal Rome—still within the fourth kingdom, still made of iron and clay. Yet God is not surprised. This too is accounted for in the blueprint. In verse 43, He reveals that even within this new clay-and-iron entity, division will persist:

“They will mingle themselves with the seed of men, but they will not adhere to one another…”

The “seed of men” points to those true covenant believers—especially the Jewish followers of Jesus—who carry the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus. The Gentile-dominated Church structure and the faithful remnant can share space, but not spirit. They mingle, but they cannot fuse. This is not simply political weakness; it is spiritual incompatibility between institutional religion and those who walk by the Spirit of God. Then, in verse 44, the narrative shifts again. While the empires of men rise and fall, God sets in motion a kingdom that “shall never be destroyed” and “shall not be left to another people.” This kingdom:

Is not handed from one empire to the next.

Is not entrusted to a denomination or religious order.

Does not belong to Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome—or to Papal Rome that grows out of it.

It belongs to God alone, ruled by His Son and led by His Spirit. This kingdom began when the Stone first struck the feet and will be openly revealed when the statue is finally swept away.

Finally, in verse 45, the curtain is pulled back. The Stone is not just a symbol—it is a Person: Jesus Christ. At His second coming, the judgment is no longer only corporate; it is deeply personal. The clay, once embedded in the feet, now stands apart. Those who hardened themselves—ceramic clay—are placed, as it were, on a threshing floor made of iron and bronze and crushed to dust. Only then are the metals themselves destroyed and the kingdoms of man erased forever.

This is the message of Daniel 2. It is not just a timeline; it is a template—God’s divine architecture for everything that will follow in this book. It reveals:

His method: four kingdoms only, and a Stone cut without hands.

His timing: a first strike at the cross, a final crushing at the end.

His goal: a kingdom built not by human hands, but by His Spirit, with vessels shaped as potter’s clay by grace and truth.

The rest of Daniel will build on this foundation. The beasts of chapter 7, the ram and goat of chapter 8, the seventy weeks of chapter 9, and the Kings of the North and South in chapter 11 are not new blueprints. They are rooms within the same structure, adding detail, dimension, and urgency. But the foundation never changes. God has spoken. His dream is certain. His interpretation is sure.

I forgot to add something in my previous post:

The little horn represents power, but not long, only for a little while, and the man of sin is the man of lawlessness through whom Satan rules. So while they are intimately connected in that the Antichrist spirit Satan is given that power to rule the gentiles (unsaved) a short time, they are not literally the same picture. The little horn is illustrating Satan's power to rule a little season, and the man of sin or lawlessness is illustrating through whom he rules. It will be through sinful Man (or the man of sin).

Daniel 7:8
  • "I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things."
In this particular little horn, God references the eyes (Luke 11:34) of man in this power because the power of Satan to rule will come by man speaking great things that deceive. This is the false prophets and christs that comes with false teachings against God's people. Where is the inconsistency? The man of sin is not any man in particular, but the man of lawlessness or sin in general. EVERYONE who have not yet sealed by God. Lawlessness and sin is the same! Even as David also described the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputed righteousness without works (Romans 4:6), so the man of unrighteousness is the man accursed. As the Apostle Paul was the man of Righteousness with the Spirit of God in him, while Judas was the Man of Sin (unrighteousness) with the spirit of Antichrist in him. One the son of the free woman and one the son of the bond woman. One the son inheriting the land of promise and one the son inheriting perdition or desolation. One of Christ and one of Antichrist.

2nd Thessalonians 2:3
  • "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;"
The sinful man is revealed in the falling away or "apostasy" in the Church. This great forsaking of God IN THE HOLY PLACE is where the Antichrist sits to rule for a little season. So yes, I forcefully contended that Daniel’s little horn is the little power that Satan has to rule near the end of time, and he rules through the man of sin or lawlessness. It is through his spirit the apostasy or forsaking comes. And the Antichrist is "anyone" who has the spirit of Antichrist. And there are many Antichrists, not just one. This is how the man of sin be revealed! If we go looking for "one man" or "one Church system" (eg. papal) to fulfill the qualification, we are looking in the wrong place! Honestly!

I mean...it fits perfectly. Both in Daniel, in Matthew, in Thessalonians in Revelation, etc. Who will believe? Will all hear the truth? No. Will all be understand in some golden age of enlightenment? No. Will all think it all fits? No. To many, it doesn't fit at all. To me, it couldn't fit more perfectly if were cut out of the same mold. Because to me, it was cut from the same mold. What I testify to is what is written, not something I outlined and cut out myself. Not something I am attempting to force to fit. But some believe and some just will not believe and find it more "comfortable" to stick to tradition. Even as some of the Jewish people.

Acts 28:23-24
  • "And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.
  • And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not."
That is why I often wrote, "The Lord judges and I am comfortable with that," is becasue it is in God's hands who believes and who thinks it is nonsense, working of Gnostics, unorthodox, spiritualize everything, etc. The Bible is in complete harmony with itself concerning the loosing of Satan, the apostasy of the Church at the end times and the why, how and who of it all. It's not the Boogeyman of our minds. It is not the big bad red Russia. It is not the orange president. It is not Roman Catholicism or Papal. It is not the Arabs against Israel. It is not world economics. It is not politics. It is not flooded villages in Tennessee. It is not earthquakes in the pacific ocean. It is not regional famine. It is not the war in Iraq or Babylon. It is a war in a Babylon far more sinister and hideous than that old location in the middle east. If we were to but look more carefully, we would see the enemy is not the Boogeyman of our minds, but those of our own household.

If the 4th beast kingdom is pagan Rome, and the 10 horns represent a new symbol for the 10 toes in the 4th kingdom of iron in Daniel 2, then who do they represent?

‘They represent 10 kings who will rule the 10 kingdoms of this world in the last days.

And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay. And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.
Daniel 2:43-44
