I didn't read the OP first, that's my fault. I found this thread from "New Posts", and just read that one.
Its sad though, isn't it? It should make people wonder, "Whats going on?"
Those who really have God's spirit, should be displaying the fruitages of that spirit: "Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faith, Mildness, & Self-control." -- Galatians 5:22,23
No one will display these perfectly, nor can we; but the post is discussing generalities.
The reason such qualities are lacking, is related to the following fact (and the questions it raises):
The Earth's major religions are fractured....Judaism has 60 to 70 differing 'movements'. Islam has a sImilar number, maybe 70 to 80 different 'sects'. Budhism also has around 70 different 'traditions'. Hinduism has over 100 differing 'schools', maybe. (These differences can be attributed to normal changes in thinking over time.)
But Christendom has over 30.000 differing 'denominations', beginning only in 1517! An orders-of-magnitude greater number!
Why?
Is there some force possibly behind this, purposefully creating more "haystacks"?
Maybe this is why Jesus said to judge by their "fruits" (Matt.7:16,20), recognizing that that would be the key as to which group had God's spirit.

I don't have the same reaction to all these subdivisions that most have.
Typically saying... "They can't all be right."
I see them as specialists in different areas. We can learn from each other.
And many splits were a move of God.
Even the Apostle Paul and Barnabas parted ways at one point.

Which is there to inform you of what you haven't a clue about.
Brainwashing, obviously.
Not to say that there isn't a need for religious training, but...
this approach leaves MUCH to be desired.
Saw this video of John MacArthur lamenting the sorry state of Evangelicalism in 2022. (video below)
Ligonier ministries had done a survey of Evangelicals. The findings, per MacArthur, were "shocking".
65% of Evangelicals agreed that everyone is born innocent.
55% agreed that the Bible is not literally true.
56% agreed that God accepts worship from all religions.
43% agreed that Jesus was a good teacher, but not God.

Really? It seems as if the survey results TOLD you EXACTLY what they believe.
How can you claim that they "have absolutely no idea what they believe"?
If we reverse the percentages, what do we get? (hope my math is correct) - LOL
35% of Evangelicals DIS-agreed that everyone is born innocent.
45% DIS-agreed that the Bible is not literally true.
44% DIS-agreed that God accepts worship from all religions.
67% DIS-agreed that Jesus was a good teacher, but not God.
So here's the BIG question...
Why do we need the church to TELL us what we believe?

two things i am very certain of my friend .
One is i do not know EVERTHING this st steven does beleive .
Two . BuT I DO KNOW HE BELIEVES THE LIE . the lie that while it hollers JESUS is the savoir of the world
WILL DENY THE FACT ONE MUST BELIEVE ON HIM .
And its too late for all who heard that gospel and beleived not , AFTER they die or THE LORD DO COME .
Whatever state one is in , AT HIS COMING or on the day they die ,
IS EXACTLY HOW they gonna be judged ON HIS DAY .
And that there lake of f ire so many are so keen on saying DONT EXIST
those who denied JESUS are gonna find out real quickly , IT DO exist as they are cast alive into it .
I worry for many people in these last days my friend .
Soon everyone will believe, now or in the FIRE!
