It explains the prophetic falling away as the feminized church has lost all its soul. It’s become largely an impotent, theologically masturbating organization, boasting of their own holiness - as measured by what they DON’T do - while paying lip service to God’s glory and modeling themselves after Christ.

Jesus didn’t figuratively suffer on a cross, figuratively fast for 40 days in the dessert, or grill figurative fish for his hungry friends at the Sea of Galilee. All of this is a masterclass in worldly, carnal, fleshy struggle - and overcoming the end of physical life and total, absolute, final death. These over-spiritualized sloths can’t bother to lift physical food to their mouth to nourish their body.
While visiting some friends I made at the Church/school (k-12) I attended for several years?
A "revelation" I guess, or (at least) an "understanding of, and the reason why" "The Church" has become SO apostated?
Comes down to one word actually.
VANITY! aka "Money!"
Because in order to keep the doors open, and lights on?
The "MEAT" that NEEDS to be "fed/taught" to the people?
MOST people don't WANT to "hear" it!
And, the one's that do? Are so few in numbers that should they give all the money they have? Not afford. But ALL? Wouldn't be enough to even keep the lights on! And? Even if it was? They wouldn't be around for long, because they wouldn't be able keep the lights on in their own home!
And as far as "volunteering" at the church? Doing stuff that needs doing? HEH!
Not many people want to do THAT either! Well? Not enough of 'em anyways!
So that leaves the ever decreasing numbers that do? To become "burnt out" because nobody wants to DO the stuff that needs be done!

Which means the "message" has to "tickle ears" because of the "vanity" of having a building!
And THAT'S a PROBLEM!

The spirit of this present evil age is to kill your enemy.

“To be ‘not of the world’ simply means not conforming to the spirit of the age in which we live. Such nonconformity will inevitably provoke hatred. …

What, then, is the task of the Messiah’s servants? In short, they will continue the work Jesus began. ‘As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world’ (John 17:18). Certainly, this mandate will not be easy to carry out. It will spark opposition. …

Jesus rejected the way of violence. He overcame his enemies without using the methods common to the kingdoms of this world.”

(Andre Trocme, Jesus and the Nonviolent Revolution, pp. 113,114)

@Wrangler @Armour of God @NayborBear

“The methods common to the kingdoms of this world” is the sword.

The Muslims and the crusaders conformed to the spirit of the age in which they lived. They were of the world.

To the @Matthias' of the world, no justification is sufficient. His evil ideology whole heartedly embraces being an ongoing victim of evil no matter what the evil doer does. It's a lazy and cowardly abdication, complete abdication to DO JUSTICE.
Yanno? I believe in some way Matthias' "readers" do appreciate the "justice" meted out to enemies that would see christianity to be a "past tense" religion! On one hand!
On the other hand?
They TOTALLY REJECT He WHO is Meteing out "justice" FOR His only Begotten in HIS ENSURING that christianity DOESN'T become "PAST TENSE!"

When did Jesus or His apostles ever advocate or use violence, weapons, and war to ensure that Christianity would not be a past tense religion?

Christianity is preserved by practicing it, which is through love, peacefulness, kindness. Not by killing its enemies.

When did Jesus or His apostles ever advocate driving on the right hand side of the road? Your question has been answered MANY times.

My readers, I’m pleased to say - includes, but is not limited to, you and @Wrangler and @Armour of God - are a diverse group.

Christianity, as I noted earlier, will always exist; no matter how intense the persecution becomes.

P.S.

A word for you from one of the Ante Nicene Church Fathers:

“The oftener we are mowed down by you, the more in number we grow; the blood of Christians is seed.”

For those wondering why God wages war -> Exodus 34:6-7

Don’t get your role and God’s role mixed up.

Exodus 34:5-7: - 5 Now the Lord descended in the cloud and stood with him there and proclaimed the name of the Lord. 6 And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, "The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, 7 keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children's children to the third and the fourth {generation}."
One should also consider Exodus 20:4-6. The visitation of the iniquities of the fathers upon their children and the children's children to the third {generation} and the fourth {generation} which has not yet been completed.

Maximilian Kolbe. Not armed with the weapons of the world, not ready to kill.

@Wrangler - who I doubt has ever heard of the man - places him in the category of “a man in form but not substance.

@Armour of God @NayborBear

Read about Kolbe.

Tell me again that you agree with Wrangler.

You're preaching "peace?"
We're Preaching "PRESERVE!"
But you're rejecting the Father's APPLICATION of "preservation", because sometimes? This "physical application" is not only WARRANTED and JUSTIFIED?
Sometimes?....It's DOWNRIGHT NECESSARY!

Andre Trochme (whom I quoted in post #2425) was a dedicated pacifist. His non-violent resistance stands as a shining example - one which @Wrangler stands firmly opposed to.

Trocme was no coward; nor was he “a man in form but not substance.”

“Once you definitively refused war as an option, you could persevere in peace, despite everything, by obeying God and believing in the miracle of love.”

(Steve Rabey, “Memoir reveals heart, theology of French pastor who saved Jews”)

The crusaders didn’t save Jews. They slaughtered them.

Wrangler, I remind my readers, is “disgusted” by men like Trocme. Jesus, I suggest, isn’t.

@Wrangler @Armour of God @NayborBear have you read D.L. Moody?
I can do ya one better than that!
(true story folks)
Some 40+ years ago, after what I can only describe as "a very Transformative Event, a Visitation(?)", but t'was more than that even. God's "presence" filled my whole being with Himself, with SUCH strength, and LOVE that it quite LITERALLY "MELTED ME!" To such a degree that a "part" of me, although unsure of "which part" was WITH HIM. I could "see" AND speak however. And another part of me, was my beating heart as He was holding it in His hand. While another part of me, looked just like some very thick melting quivering wax lying on the floor.
And this was a bit after I told Him to STOP! As I couldn't handle the "level of LOVE" He was filling me with!
to which He smiled and kind of laughed exclaiming that: "THIS was ONLY a small sliver, like the very tip of My "pinky nail." (verbatim wording too! That's what He ACTUALLY SAID!)
He said: "I just came by to see how you were doing!"
The whole thing lasted around ohhh? 'bout 20 minutes er so, yet seemed/felt like much longer than that!
Afterwards, when I was back into my "normal scheduled programming ?:Laughingoutloud:"
OH!!...Before I forget? Another thing He told me was: "You WERE BOUGHT WITH A PRICE YANNO?" "Your "LIFE" is NOT YOUR OWN!"
Well?......To make a long story shorter, and to answer the query concerning D.L. Moody?
I enrolled in "at home mail in college Bible courses FROM M.B.I. (Moody Bible Institute...for your readers that don't know) in Chicago to which I spent around $500.00 for several courses. Can't remember what all courses they were. The first and only lesson I did was like "diagramming" a book of the Bible. Which was Jonah! Finished it, mailed it in, and got a B+ er A- for. (been 40 + years....I forget things....LOL)
ANYWAYS? I dove into the next chapter of the course, and started doing that one? When this all to familiar voice spoke into my ear asking:
"You want THEM to TEACH YOU?" "Or ME?"
Well?...........Without TOO MUCH hesitation ATALL? I said: "Why YOU, of course!"
Which brings to mind an "addage" oft times given to Believers coveting earnestly "higher" Spiritual gifts!:
"Better be CAREFUL when asking God for something!" :Laughingoutloud:
Cuz? "What a Long STRANGE TRIP IT'S BEEN!"
And?.........STILL IS!!
In conclusion? That $500.00 dollars was the BEST money I've ever "blown" on something I thought was the "way" to go. But wasn't HIS Way" NOR the way NOR direction HE wanted me to go!
And THAT was my "First and ONLY experience" with D.L. Moody or ANY "Schools of higher "traditional" spiritual indoctrination!"
Oh! Another thing He told me before I closed the books from M.B.I.?:
"EVERYTHING you learned?"
"IS WRONG!"

(disclaimer)
INDIVIDUAL RESULTS WILL VARY!
Cuz? We all AIN'T the SAME!
BUT?
We ALL are part of the "MANY MEMBERED BODY OF CHRIST!"
In SPITE of the fact that "some members" don't see nor feel the NEED for us!
