Negation. Total denial of practical application of Scripture. Fiercely anti-Scriptural. Pathetic.

What Jesus taught and demonstrated is the practical application of scripture. The apostles perpetuated that practical application. So did the church up until the 4th century.

@NayborBear what would it look like if I stopped acting like Jesus and the apostles?

View attachment 85234

It would look like that. That would be me. Right?

No confirmation. Why?

It is where the logic of the argument you put to me leads @NayborBear. That is the result you are aiming for with it.

How can you be persuaded that followers of Jesus mustn’t kill Muslims and Jews when you can’t be persuaded that Christians mustn’t kill Christians?

Hello! I would recommend the book the 'Sword and Scimitar: Fourteen Centuries of War between Islam and the West' by Raymond Ibrahim, it goes into this topic in great depth. God Bless You All :)

“The one reason that people choose not to follow Jesus is because they do not agree with Jesus’ standards. They look at the commands of God, and they judge their standards to be higher or more important than God’s standards as taught by Jesus and His Apostles.”

(Mark Thogmartin, ”The One and Only Reason People Choose Not to Follow Jesus”)

Jesus and the apostles did not teach followers of Jesus to do to their enemies what the crusaders did to their enemies.

My standard is the teaching, preaching and practice of Jesus and the apostles. For this I stand accused of being “fiercely anti-Scriptural.”

You are not following Jesus if you aren’t armed, ready to kill.” - @Wrangler and the concealed (dark) identity church

From my X / Twitter “For you” feed yesterday -

”Worries carry responsibilities that belong to God, not to you. Worry does not enable us to escape evil; it makes us unfit to cope with it when it comes.

Corrie ten Boom”

Corrie ten Boom wasn’t “armed, ready to kill” but she was fit to cope with evil when it came to her and her family.

@NayborBear you’re flattered and influenced by @Wrangler. Will you listen to one of the Christian authors whom he says is among his favorites? He won’t.

”Let us show our love for Christ by loving our fellow Christians.” - C.H. Spurgeon

In addition to killing Muslims and Jews, the crusaders killed fellow Christians. This is historical fact.

Forget about the Muslims and Jews for a moment. (But only for a moment.)

Would you say the crusaders showed their love for Christ by killing their fellow Christians?

@NayborBear are you aware of how many Christians were killed by Christians when the atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki in 1945?

Will you read the article?

”Let us show our love for Christ by loving our fellow Christians.” - Spurgeon

Let us show our love for Christ by wiping out 2/3 of the Catholic community - men, women, and children - in Nagasaki?

P.S.

Will you take a few minutes to read their story?

@NayborBear are you willing and able to agree with me that those who are “fiercely anti-Scriptural” are not followers of Jesus? That such persons are enemies of Jesus?
I don't think Wrangler is against Jesus! Don't think he's anti-scriptual either.
I believe he and others (including myself) see (how can I say) "dots" on a "connect the dots" picture that GOD the Father has "drawn" that makes for a "different" picture than the dots you've connected makes.
Luke 9:50
And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.

Following Jesus Christ of Nazareth is GOOD!
Following "Christ ALONE?"
Is BAD!

That’s not what I asked about.

@Wrangler says I‘m against Jesus and that I’m anti-scriptural but you say that I’m following Jesus.

One of you is wrong.

I follow Jesus and the apostles and teach others to do the same.

“Christ-like nonviolence is rooted in love, and is therefore above all a witness to God.”

(Andre Trocme, Jesus and the Nonviolent Revolution, p. 160)

You don’t believe that. I do.

”We [the apostles and followers of Jesus] do not use the weapons of the world.” We love our enemies and do good to them, even when they do evil to us. See our story in the New Testament. See our story in the history of the early church. See our story down through the centuries. That is a witness to God.

You don’t want that witness. You don’t have that witness.

@Wrangler was absolutely right when he said that you counsel violence against me. I counsel peace against you.

The “connection of the dots” you see is a picture that has Christians killing fellow Christians.

The “connection of the dots” I see is a picture that has Christians loving fellow Christians.

Jesus and the apostles are pleased with your picture? Jesus and the apostles are pleased with the Messiah’s followers killing one another? That’s what they taught the followers of Messiah Jesus to do?

When the dots are properly connected the Messiah’s followers aren’t killing one another.

God the Father has not drawn the picture that you see.

“Love does no wrong to others, so love fulfills the requirements of God’s law.”

(Romans 13:10, NLT)

Followers of Jesus killing followers of Jesus isn’t love. It‘s doing wrong; which does not fulfill the requirements of God’s law.

@Wrangler @Armour of God @NayborBear

If you start there then maybe someday you‘ll come to see that followers of Jesus killing their enemies is wrong -> because it is the opposite of what Jesus and the apostles taught followers of Jesus to do in response to their enemies.
