This episode dives deep into the question; what is the most dangerous doctrine in the church of our day? Whereas in the early church the battle against heresy was focused on who God is; who Christ is; today the issue is much more personal. Who are we?

Hi John, long time!
Loved the video, thank you!
Do you think, or believe that the modern church IS the great apostacy? Sure seems so clear to me anymore.

BTW- are you still doing the zoom meetings?

Much love to you and family

Hey Nancy... thanks for the comment. Hope you are doing well. :) <><

Yes, the modern church is in apostasy..based on ironically, making it suitable for everyone. But making it easy for people , the leaders in the church have corrupted the gospel ....which in turn makes it easier for people looking for an easy ride...with outlandish promises.

God's promises are real...but one has to meet the requirements.

The zoom meetings ended after Covid.

Peace to you and yours. :) <><

Thanks for the post.

What do you see as the root cause or causes?

Do some pastors feel their success is based on church attendance?
Do some pastors feel the need for public approval, including the media?
Do some pastors believe that if they bring in the materially oriented with a watered-down message, the Holy Spirit will do the rest of the work for them?
Are some pastors internally compromised, rationalizing that watered-down Christianity is good enough?

Other?

Blessings.

Dangerous for sure--good word--great job!

The doctrine that negatively and greatly effects more people however, came from those "false teachers" who actually made it into the church with their "destructive heresies" that have been taught within the church ever since, even to this present day. I call it the Someday Doctrine. Which was the result of those false teachers not seeing Jesus return "soon" or "quickly" who then in their unbelief kicked the can of His coming from the "today" as Jesus told the thief on the cross and the "Behold, I stand at the door and knock" (now) words of Christ, and replaced them with their Someday Doctrine only to be fulfilled in the distant future.

Paul even pulled it all together saying Jesus didn't come and now it's over--He was "firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep" and the resurrection comes--"but each one in his own order" starting with Jesus. But Paul, knowing many would believe a "lie" foretold of the "strong delusion" that was "already at work" during that time (according to John). The consequence of which was and is for those who partake, is that Jesus would "cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." And it is epidemic!
