Imagine you're a couple years from now in the tribulation....and they say to you.... deny Christ or I'll throw your grandchild off the roof...as you look at your first grandchild laying in a pool of blood just having been thrown off the roof a moment ago.
Or imagine your loved ones are dying of hunger....and all you need to do is take the mark so you can buy some food and save them from their tragic death....all you gotta do is simply take the mark.
You post tribbers seem to be clamoring for this.
Faithful Christians who faithfully proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom of God through Christ don't have to wait for some imagined time coming for us and those we love to be threatened and persecuted for proclaiming our love of Christ. Have you never heard of Christian martyrs for the faith? You might learn reading 'Foxe's Book of Martyrs'. Many, including most of the original first century Christians, like one named in the Bible, called Stephen have been and are coming under great tribulation for their faithfulness in proclaiming the gospel of the Kingdom of God through Christ.
We cannot live in blindness and dishonesty when warning people that obedient faithfulness to Christ has always come with great tribulation that is only becoming greater and greater as the nearness of Christ' coming again approaches. Telling believers or anyone they shall not have to face great tribulation/persecution/affliction as we remain faithful unto Christ because God will rapture us before this imagined seven-year period comes, is not speaking truth!
John 16:33 (KJV) These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Acts 14:22 (KJV) Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
