Oh wow. To answer your question I would have to say Catholic leaning liturgical tradition as that is what I would be most used to being brought up in a Catholic family

My husband and I are the same. We have had to accept that none of the modern denominations are a fit. We are deconstructionists who adhere to Scripture.

I agree the goal is to stop sinning but can anyone truly achieve perfection in this world?

I beleive what the bible says . And sadly i have seen the realms of men at work
who often twist and omit q uite a few things JESUs said as well as the apostles .
AND i mean FULL BLOWN and TOTAL blasphemy . So my advice stays and remains the same as it has for many moons
and many years . Folks better GET IN THE BIBLE , AND STAY IN THE BIBLE for to learn .
Cause wolves in wool BE VERY MANY and i do mean very and very very many and specially in these very late and very last hours

Just because temptations are in and of the flesh
does not automatically mean WE SIN . But WHO WE OBEY , well then that is who we follow .

For years i have warned dear sister . Always knowing i was no better than any , ONLY BETTER OFF b ecause OF JESUS

And for years i did warn and did try and correct . And for years by more and more i was and am accused

I don't think I can agree with you. Thoughts indicate the condition of the heart. Many a young man has been convicted by thoughts such as these:

* Hey, how come Jesus never says anything about women looking at men with lust in their hearts?

I think some thoughts are from the enemy. So he can accuse us. I don't think an intrusive thought is always from within. That's why we take them captive to be obedient for Christ. Casting down strongholds and imaginations...

I also want to share something.

My husband and I both believe we ought to stop sinning and go on to perfection. But for years we both struggled with a porn habit. Eventually God gave us a way out. But because we didn't back down from the standard of not sinning and kept looking for a way out, we eventually found our way.

It's tempting to say that we can never meet a righteous standard. It's a lot messier to try and risk failing over and over again. But God does deliver. We have to look for the way out of temptation.

I had Co-pilot look it up. Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches practice confession of sin as a sacrament with some Anglican and Lutheran churches retaining the practice. Reformed, Baptist, Methodist, and Pentecostal denominations emphasize private confession. I'll add that Methodists include a time of reflection and private confession as part of the liturgy of every worship service.

This would be an acknowledgement that sin is still a universal part of the Christian experience.

So for the person that cannot stop sinning, is it God's fault because God decided not to give them the grace to stop sinning?

If so, then it sounds like God is the problem not man.
