2 easy questions, see if you can answer a simple YES or NO to both.
If not then it will be apparent you DON'T KNOW.

Do you believe you REMAIN saved if you stop doing good deeds ?
Do you believe GOOD deeds are a requirement to REMAIN saved ?

You answer my question first that i asked before.

Would you prefer if I did bad deeds and not repent?

Do you do good deeds,
Sure.
Did good deeds before I was saved.
Do good deeds since I’ve been saved.
Similar deeds…
Purpose and reasoning has changed since I was saved.
Before… did good deeds for my pleasure.
After…Do goods deeds to Glorify God.

Repent to the Lord God?
Yes…Once.
I was naturally born…Not Believing.
I Repented TO the Lord God, for having had NOT Believed.

and follow in Christs footsteps?
Literal footsteps? Not likely.

Follow Christs WAY?
With my best Effort, yes, I do.
Are my Efforts “always satisfactory or perfect”…No.
However as I live and breath, I have an ability to improve means to Glorify God.

Glory to God,

Your right.
I dont understand.
I hope God forgives my ignorance.
You have a powerful “tool”… you simply need to use it…

You have the Right, Way, Means to PRAY to God and ASK Him for “His Understanding”…

The tool you speak of is probably the bible.
I've read it several times in different translations.

But there are so many different churches and people with different interpretations and perspectives.
Everyone thinks that their right and everyone else is wrong.

I have my understanding and interpretations.
Some people agree. Others don't.
Unlike most people I'm not 100% sure of my interpretations on many theological topics.

I don't know.
It all becomes too confusing for me.

I used to think you were the type of person to hold a sensible conversation with but you have confirmed that is not the case.
You are better off interacting with others

Why can't you just answer the question.

Despite our beliefs, our actions are actually exactly the same.

We both have faith.
We both do good deeds.
We both repent.

If you truly believed in faith alone you wouldn't worry about deeds or repentance like some others don't.
Seems to me that you are actually relying on works as well rather than faith alone.

This is in reply to me saying I do good deeds, repent and follow in Christs footsteps.

Don't you do the same?

I replied to you as I did because it sounded like you didn't have assurance of salvation.

The tool you speak of is probably the bible.
No.
The Bible is “Knowledge”.

The “Understanding” of that knowledge is Offered to you from God.

The communication from you to God is Prayer.

The Tool IS Prayer.
The Asking is to God.
The request is for His Understanding.
I've read it several times in different translations.

We are continuing in Christ because of our having been saved.
This is NOT what Scripture says. Again, if it were true, we wouldn’t need to be commanded to remain in Christ.

The reason we are so commanded is because we could choose NOT to remain in Christ, I.e., remain g in Christ is NOT an automatic condition even if we are saved - just as we can let go of a life preserver drowning in the ocean where one throws us a life line to save us.

I replied to you as I did because it sounded like you didn't have assurance of salvation.

Despite the different opinions (faith alone vs faith and deeds) both sides still do the same things.

They have faith, they do good deeds and they repent. So the outcome should be the same anyway.

I don't believe I'm already saved.
That's something that happens after we die.
I'm not in heaven yet I'm still on earth.

I believe deeds and repentance are important because the bible says we will be judged and that God forgives if we repent.

But I'm not 100% sure.
Maybe faith alone is all that's required.
If so then great, I still will be saved.

You are frustrated with opinions.
Ask the Source.

I find it hard to recognise if it's God telling me something, or if it's the evil one or if it's my own mind.

Plenty of people and churches do this and yet they come up with different answers, all claiming to be inspired by God

I think I'm just better off admitting to God that I don't know for certain the answer to many things with this limited human mind that I have which is prone to error
