We are talking about assisted dying, a choice that should be available to people in certain cases.
I agree that safeguards need to be in place and it should be used in a humanitarian way.
A person's dignity and human rights should always be observed by health care professionals.

We are talking about murder here. It is currently illegal in your country. If a sick person - or even a healthy person - wants to end their life they can’t legally call in a hit man to do it.
The assisted dying you‘re longing for isn’t the status quo. The assisted dying you’re longing for is legalized self murder.
What you want is a politicians vote to call evil good.

It depends on how one defines morality. From the atheist perspective, if they're being honest, morality is a human construct.
The Old Testament is indeed hard to square with a loving God, it's true. He's more akin to a Jewish war god in the old texts.

In some cases it's murder. There's not suppose to be coercion but in some instances there is.
Not everyone is screaming in pain...withering in agony....which seems to be your argument.
