Did Jesus return around 70 AD?

[SeekTruth]

Must be a long hour because John didn't see the end, meaning the very end of the endtimes. We are still in the last hour.

The destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD: if it wasn't the destruction of Babylon as described in Revelation, what was it then? If Jerusalem wasn't Babylon (even though the NT gives plenty of hints that she was) who was Babylon then?

It was Rome punishing a rebellion. Even Christ said to obey the rule of Rome but some didn't listen and it happened more than once but many only know the one in 70AD. Jerusalem is also not Babylon.

If Jerusalem wasn't Babylon (even though the NT gives plenty of hints that she was) who was Babylon then?

Was? It was a city. In Rev it is a symbolic woman.

Sure, there are remains of people who lived prior to 70AD but it would take the remains of a known believer prior to 70AD to shut down the 70AD resurrection belief. I would say it wouldn’t have to be 100% certain but at least a reasonable amount of evidence pointing to a pre 70AD believer’s body still in existence would work.

I think you have shown your true colors. From now on when you speak of preterist don't call them "they" call them "we"
Because, like them, you claim a second coming of Christ and a resurrection but cannot present any proof.

Jerusalem is never called "Babylon" in the scriptures. It is spiritually called "Sodom and Egypt". Also, Jerusalem has never reigned over the cities of the earth, at least, not yet.

Jerusalem was the city that killed Jesus, the prophets and the Christians. Jerusalem was the most powerful city in the world. The temple was in fact the central financial institution of the world. What do you think was the reason every world empire wanted Jerusalem within their territory? Jerusalem was Babylon, the great woman. If Jerusalem wasnt Babylon then tell me who was.

Rome murdered more Christians than Jerusalem

This is untrue. Jerusalem has never been the most powerful city in the world. It has never been the central financial institution of the world. A simple google search disproves that notion.

What city rules over the nations of the earth? Hint...it's not Jerusalem.
Rv 17:18
And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

It sure isn't Jerusalem.

Revelation 11:8
And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.

Luke 13:33
Nevertheless I must journey on today and tomorrow and the next day, for it is not possible that a prophet would perish outside of Jerusalem.

See? Sodom and Egypt...not babylon

He was speaking figuratively in reference to his own crucifixion. He wasn't saying that every prophet has to die in Jerusalem. This can be proven from scripture

The prophet of Judah sent to Bethel

1 Ki 13:26 And when the prophet that brought him back from the way heard thereof, he said, It is the man of God, who was disobedient unto the word of the Lord: therefore the Lord hath delivered him unto the lion, which hath torn him, and slain him, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake unto him.

Revelation 18:24
And in Babylon was found the blood of prophets and of saints and of all who have been slain on the earth.

Matthew 23:34-37
On account of this, behold, I am sending you prophets and wise men and scribes; some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will flog in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city, so that upon you may fall the guilt of all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the sanctuary and the altar. Truly I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation. Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her!

Israel and Jerusalem judged but not totally destroyed as Babylon is destined to be (Rev 18)

1)Israel will go through a series of successful judgements that will eradicate all non believing jews and restore faith in the Messiah to the elect jews.( Joel 2:32)

2)Half of Jerusalem will be destroyed.(Zech 14:2)

3)Two thirds of Israel will be destroyed by judgement.(Zech 13:8)

4)The remaining one third elect will cry "blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord" and repent to have faith in Jesus Christ(Matt 23:39)

5)And so all Israel shall be saved (Rom11:26)

6) Jew and Gentile will be united into an everlasting Messianic Kingdom(Eph 2:15-22 Dan 2:44)
