As I pointed out before this is about unity, we are to be united because the same Jesus lives in those who are born again Christians, Baptists, Catholics, Methodists, we are to be united to set a shining example for the world, we are to be united to spread the love, spread the care, spread the good of Jesus, spread the fire, spread the power, spread the Holy Spirit, whether if you're an electrician, nurse, evangelist, missionary or prayer warrior, or more than one, whether you go out into the Church pew, go out in the field, go out and evangelize, go on a missionary trip or pray in the quiet. The main thing is, if you are born again believer, it don't matter who you are, Jesus lives in ya, and you are a member of the body of Christ, we cannot go saying to other members, you don't belong, we are supposed to be in unity, we are supposed to be united.

Well I have made my point clear enough, now lets get back onto topic, this thread was made for asking & learning about Catholicism from Catholics, and is not an argument about whose right and whose wrong, it's like little kids arguing I am better than you, no I am better than you, it's silly, pointless and gets nowhere. lol.

Why is Rome the centre of the Catholic world? Have any of ya been to the Vatican? What was your experience there like? Would you recommend it as a place to visit?

My wife and I have been to Rome three times. Culturally it is worth visiting for anyone.

We went to St. Peter's Basilica every time. There is much to see in St. Peter's itself, and the Vatican Museum. Near the entrance to St. Peter's is Michelangelo's Pieta. I found it stunning and just stood looking at it. In the Vatican Museum is the Sistine Chapel with the amazing paintings.

Rome is the centre of the Catholic world for two interlinked reasons I think.

Firstly at the time of Christ, and until the 4th century, it was the centre of the Roman Empire, the centre of the world.

Secondly (and because of the above) it was where Peter was bishop and leader of the Church, and has been the bishopric of the Pope ever since.

Their practices are not christian. Asking painted images and statues to speak on ones behalf is something the Word of God speaks out against. It's called idolatry. Asking false images to approach God on your behalf.

If this was all that denomination was guilty of that would be enough, but it's not.

Do some research Josho. Just go to any search engine and type in "Catholic Atrocities" or anything else you believe is a lie regarding the catholics. Use the Word of God to judge whether their practices are christian or not. And you have to remember that it's the doctrine you're scrutinizing, not the people. The people belonging to this denomination are being lied to. The lies are so great that even non-catholics are accepting of it.

Go check it out. Everybody. Go and see what the other side is doing. Right in front of our very eyes.

God could never recognize His son, Jesus in you church nor Jesus Hie beautiful spotless bride that you continualy insult with your lies. Every time one speaks of Christ, you replace Him with your church, when we praise Him, you replace Him with your church, when we speak of His wonderful works you replace them with your church and its works,. All you do is glorfy yopur religion, and like the Jws that used to visit me, you have nothing to offer anyone, but your religion. Salavtion is through Christ JEsus, He has finished teh work He needed to to tro save us, He has no need of your or any ones religions. It is you that cant live without it.

Christ's Church has had sinners in it from the beginning - and will have sinners until the Day He returns.

One does not have Jesus in ones heart, and what did Jesus say,
Mar_7:6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

Not only have you been shown that Catholics don't pray to statues - it has been explained to you that we simply ask those in Heaven to pray FOR us. Nothing in the scriptures allows for the digging up of the dead and putting them on display. Asking these dead bodies to speak on your behalf is also a sin.

The catholic church is steeped in idolatry. Praying to statues, praying to pictures, praying to dead bodies. This behavior is not sanctioned by the Word of God.

I showed you that statues and paintings are nothing but reminders and not objects of worship - no different that the statues God commanded Moses to make and that Solomon festooned the Temple with.
