"Scripture CLEARLY sets up what you call a "system of religion" that is "institutionalized".

Scripture also acknowledges that people often build and live in houses, yet literally pokes fun at those who do, too. If you want religion, you will find religion in There. If you want to find est'd religion rejected and condemned, that's in There too.

Imo your pov fails NT because Paul specifically avoided religion his first three years; and it fails OT for more obvious reasons. I seriously doubt God cares about our religion/rituals; He seems to be wanting a nation that will produce the fruit of the kingdom. Pretty sure i could quote abundant Scripture to that effect too.

and sadly those who continued the Church, did it in an incorrect way, by mixing it with pagan rituals and festivals, thus diluting the Truth, and sadder still, they are the ones to this day, who keep believers bound, to a man put together system, our Lord never intended, by not being taught by The Holy Spirit, The Spirit of Truth! Why look elsewhere?

I don't believe that is a fair comparison. You can talk, ask, and plead to another human for many things. But that is never a prayer. But if you are talking, asking, or pleading to God, that is a prayer.

Jesus Christ's prayer to God just prior to His raising of Lazarus was a public prayer. And He didn't do it as a hypocrite to be seen as something He is not.

This is legal, juridical language that is used in court documents and police reports.
The definition of worship or adoration is not even one of the primary definitions.

You missed the point completely.
I was making the point that "Pray" means MUCH more than "worship".

Doesn't take a lawyer or a genius to read a dictionary . . .

See how they are the EXACT SAME THING using a few different words. If Jesus was praying to his Father when he made that STATEMENT then I was praying to you when I said the SAME THING.

Jesus said, but I said this on account of the people standing around, that they may believe that you sent me.” What was the THIS that he SAID? Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God. Jesus simply TOLD them that their belief would reveal the glory of God. He NEVER PRAYED in this passage. That is not a prayer IT IS A STATEMENT. Unless your definition of prayer is different than the bibles.

So I ask you again. When did Jesus pray in public?

I began reading the Bible 6 1/2 years after my first encounter with Him, and I must say, it didn't take me long to get confused. Also what the Pastor sometimes spoke of, was 100% wrong ( according to Jesus), and that made it an untenable position to be in. I won't challenge a Pastor, that's Jesus' job. I started seeking Jesus more and more for the answers, and for the past 3 decades He has been kind enough, to keep answering me.
What used to happen more than any other, would be that Jesus would explain something to me in plain ( almost kindergarten level ) words, I would share it with someone, who would show me where in the Bible they would find a reference to it.
The errors we make most often is that we don't 'Rightly divide the word of Truth' and sadly those who continued the Church, did it in an incorrect way, by mixing it with pagan rituals and festivals, thus diluting the Truth, and sadder still, they are the ones to this day, who keep believers bound, to a man put together system, our Lord never intended, by not being taught by The Holy Spirit, The Spirit of Truth! Why is the pastor wrong and why are you right? Is it possible that Jesus was speaking to the pastor also? How do you KNOW the pastor was 100% wrong? That is a pretty bold statement.

How do you KNOW when YOU are rightly dividing the word of Truth and no one else is?

In the 6 1/2 years you have been reading the bible you haven't noticed how Jesus and the Apostles set up a "system of religion" that is "institutionalized"? Do you not read those parts because it doesn't fit what you believe or have you just decided you are right and scripture is wrong?

All you can do is to follow your own heart... if we miss something ( and we are open to be corrected by Him ) He is more than capable of telling us and setting us on the right path.
He more than any other has taught me to mind my own business about a whole lot of things, and why it is so unacceptable for us to appoint ourselves as 'judges' over others.
You will have to do with what I answered as i cannot say anymore than that. :)

I will even make it even simpler for you. A person is threatening to kill another person with a gun right in front of you if they don't give them all of their money. You don't feel you can "judge" them and tell them to STOP because what they are about to do is a sin?

i wrote the first one as an example of "I feel i can judge you and tell them to STOP because what you are about to do is a sin."

an example iow. But really imo religion is a great first step, good way to assimilate some Scripture etc, i just wrote the first thing that came to mind

OMG.........If you are going to keep doing this, could you please show the courtesy to others of ACTUALLY reading what they write.
I told you not to bait me again, then you pretended to understand something and then here you are again back to square one.
I believe you are a troll, and I am going to hit the ignore button now, there seems little point in doing this, and keeps me from having time to 'chat' with those who don't jump down my throat. Believe me I know it's hard to accept what I write ( but if they look at scriptures they will find in one way or another that it all agrees), particularly for the religious, they seem to think God owes them something because they went to church and read their bibles.
