Due to the brain damaging powers of sola scriptura, infallibility is almost impossible to be understood.

Praise God then for those brain damaging powers of sola scriptura.

Like I said - that's great preachin'.

As for me - I don't possess the charisma of infallibility like the Pope does - and I never claimed to.

And yet, you continue to judge everyone who disagrees with you......hmm

The errors we make most often is that we don't 'Rightly divide the word of Truth' and sadly those who continued the Church, did it in an incorrect way, by mixing it with pagan rituals and festivals, thus diluting the Truth, and sadder still, they are the ones to this day, who keep believers bound, to a man put together system, our Lord never intended,...

The underlined above is an absolute falsehood. Do we tell lies about your system?

To narrow it down so you can see exactly what I am objecting to the most:
"mixing it with pagan rituals and festivals" This LIE has never been proven. It was invented by atheists and fund/evang largely from the 18th century. Please read the link and avoid embarrassing yourself in the future.

Oh please........I don't belong to any system, I was very fortunate to find out I belong to Christ

was that for me ? I'm not sure what it means
So you believe that shepherds were out in the fields with the sheep at the end of December in Israel ? Where do you believe the council at Nicene ( was it? ) got the dates from, they decided to make our Christmas and Easter ( at least that is near Passover, I think )? Or were those dates decided by the Emperor, or the murdering General, who first outlawed it, killing Christians that is ? I must say it's ages since I read those books, so I do apologize if I don't get the whole thing right, but I am sure you do get where I am coming from at least ? This time we ARE specifically discussing the Catholic church, but I want to make this clear.....I have nothing against those who call themselves Catholics, only the system put in place which was called The Roman Catholic Church ( the mother is it ? )

The charisma like the pope does........infallibility ! This is for real, someone actually wrote that.....No wonder it's a massive mess, when men elevate themselves or allow others to elevate them to such a ludicrous extent.... Not ONE is infallible, apart from Christ Jesus. IF any of the popes had been infallible there would have been a great long cue in heaven when one was looked for to be worthy to open the seals...It states that John wept, as no one could be found, and then THE LAMB of God came forward and was found worthy to open them, not even the virgin Mary. Seems to me someone is missing something......

I don't judge anybody for "disagreeing" with me. Everybody is entitle top their opinion.
I judge a person's lies and falsehoods - not the person.

I have had many charitable exchanges with people like ByGrace, who disagrees with many Catholic positions.
The difference between posters like ByGrace and mrhealth or Job or Pia or YOU - is that ByGrace doesn't resort to spewing LIES.

BIG difference . . .

Infallibility isn't a trait of ANY human being - but a charism of the Holy Spirit (John 16:12-15).
The Pope by himself is not infallible. But through the Holy Spirit, he is unable to teach error in matters of faith and morals.

Infallibility doesn't mean that he is right about everything.
Jesus's promise that the Holy Spirit would guide His Church to ALL truth doesn't include the Pope's Superbowl picks . . .

That's interesting because there is no "Roman Catholic Church."
The official name of the Church is, "The Catholic Church".

You, Stranger and others haven't done your homework - and that's why you use this false title in ignorance . . .

And again - I don't "despise" anybody. That's a false accusation of YOURS.
I despise LIES.

As long as a person debates without resorting to lying - I have no problem with it.
Everybody has a right to their opinions.
Nice try...but you have been personally belligerent to many and call most of us here more names than just "lair."

Can you point to ONE instance of name-calling?
Can you point to ONE instance where I called somebody a "Liar"??

Telling somebody that they just told a lie is not "name-calling".
If I call them a "Liar" - then that is name-calling.

Try being honest, for a change, huh?

When a non-Catholic poster wants to have a charitable exchange - I engage in charitable conversation.
When a poster starts out by spewing lies and falsehoods - I rebuke and correct them.

It's usually the anti-Catholic who begins the ad hominem exchange . . .

The term anti-Catholic is Ad Hominem. I've gone back to the beginning of your posts on this thread and it is difficult to find anything, which does not contain ad hominien or baiting comments. You appear to accuse people of lying with the same vigor and inaccuracy (misspelled as lieing - I wouldn't want to be inaccurate and be called a liar) as a Puritan looking for witches. The language you use clearly communicates contempt with everyone who disagrees with you and you show it with your consistent drumbeat of accusations and wild assumptions. A few Catholics who have posted here, seem to be the only people who get away with not being noticed by you; i think that is probably the best response a person can hope for from you - like most people with narcissistic tendencies, you appear to 'level' friend and foe. It is hard to imagine anyone appreciating your negative comments, let alone, learning anything from you besides perhaps, Catholic contempt/condescension (here is a hint: Protestants can smell contempt from Catholics a mile away - if there is anything a Catholic can do to promote the truth of the Church, it is to drop any whiff of contempt or condescension). Yet, this appears to be your witness - you could learn from the article from the Pope, which I posted. It is up to you if you want to view it as an attack or a blessing

Oh, that would be a job for an executioner. Off the top of my head I imagine there are as many as the number of your posts...

an uneducated anti-Catholic like yourself

hypocrites like yourself

"idolatry", Einstein??

"false" image, Einstein??

Got it now, sparky?

simply a description, Einstein.

you're just blowing more of your ignorant hot wind . . .

What a hypocrite.

WORSHIP them as gods, Einstein.

Job, bbyrd, Sword and mrhlth are gluttons

From "The Documents of Vatican II" (Walter M. Abbott, S.J. gen. editor, Very Rev. MSGR. Joseph Gallagher. Translation editor. American Press 1966)

Chapter 1--General Principles for the Restoration And Promotion of the Sacred Liturgy.
Under section III-"The Reform of the Sacred Liturgy", #38, p. 151.

"Provided that the substantial unity of the Roman rite is maintained, the revision of liturgical books should allow for legitimate variations..." Note the phrase 'Roman Rite'.

From the same Document noted above, 'Catholic -Orthodox declaration' p. 725, from Pope Paul and Patriarch Athenagoras,
"...I have not lost sight of the determination each then felt to omit nothing thereafter which charity might inspire and which could facilitate the development of the fraternal relations thus taken up between the Roman Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church....they are responding to the call of that divine grace which today is leading the Roman Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church..." Note the term 'Roman Catholic Church'.

These are documents from Vatican II. They expressly use the terms 'Roman' and 'Roman Catholic'. Perhaps you need to read your own material.

And I'm not here to convert people.
I'm here to squash lies so that others who are reading these exchanges won't be seduced by these lies.

As for the term, "Anti-Catholic" - this applies to people, like yourself, who have lied about what the Church teaches to make their argument.
People who simply disagree with the Church are not anti-Catholic. They're just non-Catholics.
