What is the "word of God" bbyrd009?
It is an action that we might perform, a la Ghandi, that is the best example of the Word of God i can come up with. The Word, having gone out from God, will be accomplished, right.
Do you really think you will be able to speak a word of scripture during this time and still have your head on your body?
yes, because that time is today, not tomorrow as you are understanding it, and this "beheaded" that you fear so much in tomorrow, despite "
do not fear them that can kill the body here on earth," means something different than that, for today.
Since i brought up Ghandi, i would stick with the analogy and maybe direct the convo to the massive campaign to discredit Ghandi that did not work. Beheading, see, that scary boogey man that we are told will happen sometime tomorrow for a devout Christian? That would have been much preferable ok, beheading only takes a minute or two, tra-la.
See, the thing we get scared of about tomorrow ends up not even being relevant, because obviously they could not even "behead" Ghandi without making him a martyr.
"beheading" does not mean chopping off your head, that is strictly for like Hollywood produced ISIS videos for public consumption and eschatologists to point to, most likely. Much more effective to successfully discredit or smear someone who hears Word, i think.
Of course some actual beheadings of actual hearers of the Word might also occur, don't get me wrong, but i'm guessing that there are like only about 3 of those people even alive on earth at any one time anyway.
