How am I adding words to scripture??

Luke 15:24
"For this son of mine was DEAD (the son was dead when he was in the world after leaving home)

And has come to life AGAIN" (this means the son already had life before, then lost it, when he abandoned his father, and now he has life AGAIN)

It's clear.

Did those in 2 Peter 2:20-21 lose their salvation?

Nobody who is ever actually saved ever loses their salvation.
God is bigger than that.
Quit trying to put yourself on God's level, thinking you can tell him to get lost, you're quitting this salvation thing.
You can't do it.

You think you could do it?
Then go ahead and prove it.
Tell God you don't want his salvation anymore, and walk away forever.
I tell you that you can't do it.

You're right.
I can't do it, even though I've been upset with Him at times.
I never left Him.
I don't believe I ever will.

But does this mean that it's impossible?
If it's impossible why does Paul keep exhorting us to stay on the path, to endure. to keep up the good race, etc?

If we couldn't lose our salvation, wouldn't Paul and the other Writers not mention this at all and tell us how to live a good life without all the IF's??

OK.
Is it possible for a born again believer to live his life like in
1 Corinthians 5:9-13?

What if he does?

There you said the magic words, "actually saved." Who can argue with that logic? to do so would be a contradiction.

It's a word to the wise
How many counterfeit people are in the church?
Let them follow us who obey

Yes, God knows the answer to "who is actually saved".
You can't fool God.
Someone may be able to fool me or you or someone else, but they can't fool God.
Therefore, to debate this issue is basically fruitless unless a new person is on board and wants more understanding.

So you're saying what also @lforrest is saying?
Are you saying that if someone IS REALLY saved, they can't get unsaved...

Or are you saying that if someone is saved they will Always obey God?
Please clarify.

Maybe you're saying both...

I like what you said about the new person that might be on board.
This is basically the only reason I even discuss this.

Why argue it with a mature Christian who knows what he's doing??

So it is the perception of salvation that is in question. In which case I would ask why would people be able to do things by the Spirit, such as driving out demons, and then cry Lord Lord and be told by Jesus that he never knew them.Matthew 7:22.

For the Holy Spirit is the seal of salvation.

lol, funny
he who holds out to the end will be saved implies that many or some do not hold out to the end

ha well you should then follow us, who obey, it seems to me, and see if you detect any condemnation or judgement in that
How does a non-OSAS person obey when all they ever do is place judgment on everyone around them and condemn them because they don't believe the same as you do?
