I exposed the fact that the book of James was only written to the Jews (James 1:10) but I am not responsible for the blindness others seem to have.

Jesus left us with commands, not suggestions.

oh, tbh i seriously doubt that Richard would deny that a good deed covers sins, and imo the argument is mostly one of semantics, owing to the influence that legalistic churches have exerted, by way of "standards" or the like, masquerading as "works."
