I don't remember you asking me this.i missed your reply to the "saints" definition, IV2?
A saint is just someone who has been set aside for service to God.
The N.T. says all of us who believe are saints.

ha, why bad? i missed that part. Anyway, in that context, Pneuma is the Spirit and Soul of God then, ok.My bad.
yet the RCC, the Didache proponents iow, would disagreeI don't remember you asking me this.

It is, but methinks that another meaning may have been intended here. Sometimes we need help understanding each other even when we are all supposedly speaking the "King's" English.
It's a movie with Robin Williams. He was a radio announcer of music, a DJ in Vietnam and began his program with: Good Morning Vietnam.
I got mixed up between the two.ha, why bad? i missed that part. Anyway, in that context, Pneuma is the Spirit and Soul of God then, ok.
Meet Him in the air
So, was it as bad when you were there as it became, or was it just beginning?Ah, yes, I recall the movie, but I was unaware of the original on which it was based until I saw the movie.
My radios at the time I was there carried mainline communications for all of South Viet Nam including Armed Forces Radio Station. But I was there before the United States was heavily involved in the combat initiatives. Not long before my half-way point President Johnson sent in the first substantial numbers of American combat troops [January 1965]. I arrived there in August of 1964.
Indeed! There could be an long an interesting book written on the interactions coffee and Americans. Perhaps it has already been written.Hahaha! that is true. Joe could be a guy who drank a lot of coffee...

i used Rhema there because Rhema is Law, the part we argue from, etcha, why bad? i missed that part. Anyway, in that context, Pneuma is the Spirit and Soul of God then, ok.
Meet Him in the air
I belonged to a Signal Company that had radio stations all over the country. We almost always had our stations located on a U.S Airforce Base, even though we were Army. The reason for this was for our protection. There were no U.S. Army combat soldiers there when I arrived with a total of only 16,000 Americans and most of them with the Air Force . The others included some U.S. Special Forces, a comparative handful of U.S. Marines (two companies of Marines had a camp just outside the Danang Air Force Base where I worked.) and other support personnel like myself.] I don't include the Navy as they they had no significant number on shore duty, if any.So, was it as bad when you were there as it became, or was it just beginning?
What a bad time that was...
i would argue that Rhema is the words of God, as they are written. I make the distinction to lead one to Word, which for us requires that the air move imo, vibrations must be put into the air iow for thatRhema is the word of God.
But as it is spoken.
You'll remember them forever, of course. Shared experience...I belonged to a Signal Company that had radio stations all over the country. Still it was dangerous in places. During my 12 months there our company lost four men. Two of them I knew personally. One of them went to the US Army Signal school in the same class with me at Ft Monmouth, NJ for 35 weeks. After a short leave we were then transported to Viet Nam. The four went out on a small special services boat in one of the supposedly safe places during their off duty time. They only carried one weapon for the four of them when they were attacked. One was killed trying to escape. The others were captured and killed not long afterward by the Viet Cong. To this day the faces of the two I knew are clear in my mind. They were young and innocent as young men usually are. By now probably most people, including their own families will have forgotten them.
This is what got me confused.i would argue that Rhema is the words of God, as they are written. I make the distinction to lead one to Word, which for us requires that the air move imo, vibrations must be put into the air iow for that
Psalm 119 is a great study for that; it has been almost universally lauded as an ode to Word; but it is a Psalm about Law, as one may see more clearly in the original or a Lex. The word "Word" is not in there a single time. "Words" is in there a lot.Which words would you be speaking of?
Perhaps as bad or worse was the reception so many received when we arrived back in the United States. President Johnson and then Nixon had a lot a bad publicity regarding Viet Nam involvement, but the returning soldiers were often ignored or treated like dirt. Perhaps if they had deserted or protested or run off to Canada they would have been treated better. To this day Jane Fonda's name makes me cringe. I try not to be that way, but personal experience and involvement make a person see things in a different light. No matter how wrong the war in Viet Nam may have been, those boys were not to blame. You'll remember them forever, of course. Shared experience...
Back then I thought 20, 21 was about the right age for a soldier.
NOW, when I see 20 year olds, I'm horrified to think that they might be sent off to war somewhere. They seem like the young boys they are -- not men yet. No wonder some returned home so damaged...
No matter how wrong the war in Viet Nam may have been, those boys were not to blame.

It seems that people have always been and continue to be a pretty thoughtless and even callous group for the most part. It is difficult to understand how God could love even those dwelling in the very bottom of the barrel.ya, we still like to kill the messengers, huh
Nor do I, although part of it includes a visit by her to North Viet Nam while we were at war with them and young American soldiers were mistreated and even tortured as POWS.Couldn't agree more.
All those that came back were heroes, IMHO.
They say Jane Fonda has changed, but yes, I know what you mean and agree. She should have been thrown in jail for treason. She caused lives to be lost. I can't remember the details...
