depression is a great indicator that some change is needed, being linked more to gut and vagus nerve every day i guess. Depressed ppl always have Candida infections. always.
Oh really? Always, huh? Yer funny. For a 60 year old woman, who has suffered with depression all her life, I am very healthy-I eat only whole foods, do not drink alcohol, or soda pop. I work out 5 times a week and am at my high school weight. So..I do not know where you get this "theory" of folks who are depressed have stomach issues.

chronically depressed specifically, but yes for them at least i guess it is always. But i guess there is a large subset of ppl who just like being depressed, too, i mean it does serve to garner more attention, etc. I wouldn't even try to diagnose your specific case, but after all you are the one who is depressed, right, so understand if i don't pay much attention to your assessment, which i guess reads terrible lol, but i don't mean it like that.

Generally speaking, if one is chronically depressed they have a Candida overgrowth, and you are maybe an exception, bam assert your very healthy and simultaneously chronically depressed pov for us, if you see where i am going here?

Interesting...
Looking forward to @bbyrd009 to answer.
I have never heard of that..and I am always interested in natural health cures.

BTW Mark...what IS the cure for Candida overgrowth?

I take probiotics against it...but I have heard that probiotics are a waste of time.
True or false?

Sorry @aspen Is this off topic ? :(

Still not sure what you mean and where you get your info on the gut problems being connected to depression. And, if you think those who suffer from this REAL condition are looking for attention, you know nothing. Most who are depressed do their best to STAY AWAY fro others and tend to become introverted. I know if I am going through that dark period, I purposely keep myself scarce and if asked how I am, I will not pour out my sadness on them, on the contrary, I will avoid as best I can.

a 3 day fast, but there are also some mostly half-stepping "candida cleanses" one might try, i recommend them as a precursor for those who can't fast for 3 days, makes going into ketosis a little easier maybe

for most ppl, yes; if you want to plant Bermuda grass, you have to get rid of the crabgrass first. "Probiotics" in the marketplace mostly = all the stuff that we pasteurize out of our whole milk, removed from their nutritional matrix. So, lactobacillus in a pill or a drink is not going to do much anyway, and particularly not for anyone with a Candida overgrowth. Nancy might tell us what foods she currently cultures, or where she gets cultured food and raw milk, but past experience tells me that these are not well-received questions either, usually, and i have no interest in just being right anymore lol

well this does not describe the mechanism for getting attention anyway--particularly for a codependent who enjoys making themselves apparent by their absence, sometimes (bc the pointed comments by their friends get to be too hard to ignore or whatever; usually some new peer who sees through the charade and is not afraid to name it is in the ascendancy or something like that)--even if it seems to, and fwiw i would suggest doing the exact opposite, maybe even playing "fake it til you make it," but isolating, what you are describing, does not equate to "not seeking attention" like it might seem to, and one can even examine their desire to have someone knock on the door or call in that state for their specific truth in the matter i guess.

Isolating is usually an attempt at getting attention too iow; the weird part is, when the phone rings and one doesn't pick it up, it is bc they maybe want more attention, or a better way to say that might be "more focus on themselves" by others, "attention" generally being the last thing ppl in this certain, (possessed) state want i guess.

Iow it is a control move that codependents use, at least quite often

Thanks Mark

Some one told me that only PREbiotics are any good and the probiotics just die ...but I have never seen then in health stores...only to be bought from one man on-line who flogs them at a high price..which always makes me sceptical :D

I have never had a candida diagnosis ...but always heard the everyone has it a bit...hence my awareness ...

The best gut stuff I took cost a million $$$, and came out of Ireland.
A liquid. I felt wonderful on it, my daughter got for me 8 weeks worth...but I would never spend that fortune on myself. o_O

I would recommend it to any who had any gut problems though.

ah, the clay stuff? you have a link or something? ty

No I don't think so.
I took it after 18 months of watery stools all day....not even rice and chicken would not fix it. It fixed it.
My other daughter bought 3 months supply for my 21 yr old granddaughter ..which had ....golly I forget the gut bug ...my grand daughter is in nursing ...she sent me a photo of the bugs/germs or whatever...magnified millions of times...heck it looked like Jurassic Park!!!

She poor girl had had 4 courses of many different antibiotics to kill it....so my daughter wanted to replenish the gut damage done by the meds!!! My grand daughter could only take about a third of the prescribed dose ( on an empty stomach ) more than 1/3 of an ounce and she was doubled up!!! It made me feel queazy but I pushed through...and after a month felt the difference...by the end of all the bottles I felt good.

I'll ask my daughter for the link that she ordered from in Ireland.

wadr i know nothing regardless, but it is generally also accepted that a certain % do exactly that i guess, right
Yes Mark, I can agree that a certain amount of those type's can be attention seekers. My personal experience has myself introverting so others would NOT have to be subjected to my presence during these times. I am too old and tired of trying to keep that quick smile for all and any, if it has to be forced in any way-hence, I pull away, it is embarrassing even to admit to having battles with "depression". I will say I believe it runs in family's too. And, you are, of course free to state any and all of your opinions, experiences with or knowledge of depression without derailing Mark, lol. ♥

BTW-I do love yogurt (;

Candida, like a yeast infection?

You think that links to depression?

That is what he said.
I have even heard more than that...that it is at the root of ALL disease. My naturopath told me ALL disease starts in the gut.

In the area of health and our welfare bbyrd009 has done his research and he knows a lot. ( If we ask him)

i deal with anxiety and major depression - i have dealt with the symptoms my whole life. Christians have a bad track record of recognizing the existence of mental illness in faithful Christians - as if a real relationship with Christ washes away all dispair. All i can say is, ‘it would sure be nice if that was the case. Not sure why some people acknowledge that God chooses not to cure Autism or spinal cord injuries, but must legitimize the relationship by wiping away all mental issues.

Anyone deal with clinic depression? Have you ever been told to pray harder?
I dealt with clinical depression for 20 years.

There were probably some numb-skulls along the way that said "just pray harder" but such stupidity doesn't deserve me remembering them.

Having a very real and very vibrant relationship with Christ doesn't mean all ills will just disappear-- quite the contrary! The scriptures are full of examples of Christ's followers having very real struggles and Christ not removing that particular thorn in the flesh. We're supposed to each have weaknesses to remind us to be humble and come unto Christ so He can make us stronger in His way (not the way we ask).
