If the picture of the Proverbs 3.5 tattoo isn't coming up on your screen, here is the link to it again:

It's not unusual for someone who gets one tattoo eventually - how ever much later, and not according to the original intention - to get more ink.
Thank you for the link, I did see the original one but, for some reason , missed the post when I was catching up with the thread after work xx

YW.

Yes, and the wrist is a particularly effective placement when it comes to visibility, isn't it?

(Especially useful if it has a faith element that may prove to prompt a conversation.)

Yes, I took to poll yesterday. Are you watching Ink Master this season. It's still playing. I believe a new episode is on tonight.
Oh really? thanks! so does it seem to be as good a series as the previous ones?

There's so much demand for tattoos these days (the fact that 59%-70% or more of parlor clients in North America now are women, according to statistics probably has a lot to do with the steep curve in demand) that it is creating ever more competition for good tattoo art; and what Ink Masters seems to tell me is that the quality of tattoos is going up all the time; the artists are competing vigorously; that low quality 'scratchers' are being marginalized.

It also seems to me that the scope for faith based ink is also increasing.

Yes, this year they have two previous finalists from last year heading up two rival teams. Clean Rock One and Christian (that's his name). It is on the Paramount station, previously known as SpikeTV.

Thanks, yes, I have seen SpikeTV in the past. Such is the skill displayed on Ink Masters (and similar shows) that even lots of ppl who so far don't have tattoos are seeing just how skillful many artists are and just how much healthy competition there is between them, right?

Well my hubby has a scary shrunken head on his back. :D if I ever see it move I'm going to rebuke it.
Sounds like you guys both would quite like checking out parlor portfolios together, even simply for art appreciation.

There is certainly some highly skillful tattoo art out there, right?

I like any TV on watching art being done. I also love singing competitions, and other talent shows.

Re. talent shows, some editions have gone viral.

NY Ink is another well known show.

This episode is about a brave young lady for whom the ink seems to be therapeutic:

I do think that there is a lot of scope for faith based ink. It's a pity more ink shows don't feature faith based ink; for various reasons I wish more Christians would become tattoo artists.

I don't have a tattoo, I never saw the point nor a design I would think I would appreciate for the rest of my life. My son has a tattoo, similar to the one below, recording his connection to family and forbears. Tribal tattoos such as this I like a lot. They express who they are and their place in the world.

The tribal styles draw a lot from indigenous / Celtic / Maori / Samoan styles, don't they? (a bit like the design on the tail fins of Air New Zealand).

So is your son the only family member that has to date gotten inked?

My son in law and daughter also have each other's names on their arms, not so sure about that, but hey that's young love huh. The son in law also has tribal tats on arms and leg. IMG_20181024_192214.jpg

I really like your header verses, BTW...

I'm not surprised that your daughter had it done as well as your son-in-law. It used to be a man thing, very much (especially sailors, bikers...) But now - at least in North America even more female clients avail themselves of tattoo parlor services than male clients do (59%-70% or more are female, apparently, according to statistics).

I think there's a lot of scope for faith based tattoo art these days (Bible verse/ref., Christian fish sign <>< on wrist, etc.); I think your comment about tribal art "They express who they are and their place in the world" can equally apply to faith based tattoo wearers.
