There is nothing in Scripture to suggest that the Holy Spirit was in Adam at the time he was created. God breathed into him the breath of life, meaning that He gave life to clay (as He does to every living creature). Simply that.

Had Adam possessed the Holy Spirit, he would probably not have foolishly disobeyed God for absolutely no benefit.

In the beginning Adam walked with God. But the breath/spirit that was given him was the same spirit that went on to sin, not a new spirit, and not the spirit of God, which is evident because he sinned.

So then, there is a spirit of God, and there is a spirit or breath of life. But even Christ was born without the spirit of God, for it did not descend upon Him until it was time.

Jeremiah 23:5, Psalm 89:3-4. Jesus would be the King of David's house and His throne would be established forever and over all the earth...both spiritually now, and literally at the end of the age.

John 5:28-29 Jesus says that all who are in the tombs shall hear His voice.

see scott, Christ is that Spirit, who is God that created all things and gave life to all things. Adam was BORN of God, because Adam when created had no sin. it was the "WISDOM" of God, The Spirit, Jesus who blew the breath of Life, in him. and this LIFE is passed on to all men.

now where you error is THIS, in fellowship Adam walked with God. but the Spirit that was in ADAM GAVE HIM LIFE. that relationship produce the fellowship with God. only the fellowship was broken or cut off, but not the Spirit that gave him life. hence the reason to be born again, and the whole reason why man was made subject to vanity.

so yes, the same Spirit is the Holy Ghost who came in flesh.
